I feel like Mark is one of the few celebrities that kind of realizes how impactful they are to people's lives and appreciates it without getting an ego.

@@Aflay1 I don't see it. He seems very humble. I think he believes the character is why he is so loved and he embraces it and that's why fans love him so much.
Watch his interviews regarding the sequel trilogy. He talks a lot about how he wishes Luke would've been written and how he disagrees with the final product. He pretty much says at one point he realized how special Luke Skywalker is to people and he was very humbled by it.

Most would immediately question their assumption when he said he remembered everything about that time (not something many 1-years can do) as well as written a letter to Mark Hamill (where most US children don't learn to write their full name until at least 5). The fact that she prompted the question in the first place should makes me think that she, as the host asking interview questions, should have done at least the same minimal research I did to know how old he was when those movies came out. But at the end of the day. It doesn't matter - it was a one-off that doesn't change anything. Just thought it turns into more misinformation. I think it's because he's never let money become a big factor for him. He's never really done movies or shows that he wasn't passionate about, even if there's little or no money involved for him. Mark is the real deal as they say. He hasn’t had the easiest career but he was blessed with immense fame and he’s been a stand up guy for decades, truly loves his fans and is beyond humble. Someone else said, “Mark’s a gift to humanity.” You just can’t say it any better.
As far as im concerned Hamill will always be the ambassador of Star Wars. He has embraced the movies and you know 100000% that he loves the movies and loves Star Wars.
And he's not afraid to speak his mind about what he DOESN'T agree with in the latest trilogy. He's arguably the biggest, most invested fan.
Mark should really be contributing towards the writing of the new trilogy. I think he had a very clear vision for Luke and it was probably in line with what a lot of the fans would have wanted to see too. Plus, no one loves this franchise more than Mark Hamill, you know he'd do it justice any chance he can.
Not only that but he's acceptable of Star Trek fans too who like both franchises.

What's great about Mark Hamill, besides him being a really nice guy, is that he realizes people love him because of the character he played in the movies and not just because he's Mark Hamill. So he doesn't have a swelled head. He also seems incredibly grateful for having been a part of it.

I love that mark is one of few actors who really leans in to the iconic character - a lot of people shy away from being known for one role but mark embraces it in a way that’s super charming and you can tell he loves his fans and Adam was trying so hard not to FANBOY during the interview love it
I think he's come to terms with it. This has to be the most severe case of typecasting in cinematic history, but Mark seems to have realized that he's forever going to be Luke Skywalker in the minds of all who see him. He totally owns that role... forever.

PANoramic TV Not sure, but I think he may normally have shaky hands. Watching some close ups on parks and rec when he holds things he appears to have a mild tremor. Although he does seem genuinely surprised and in awe by the surprise visit, the shaky hands adds the emotional touch to his reaction.
