Nice, Mr. Sena. I was one of your participants in one of your workshops . Now, I couldn't stop drawing n painting. Thanks so much. More power and health to you so you can draw more people to work on their.creative skills.
Been a follower of Mr. Sena. Thanks Sir for inspiring your students! He is the perfect fit for this TED talk, he shared his passion to us the audience.
This is the foundation from which all principles of drawing stands. Even if you are gifted, you have to start from here. This is also the correct way of starting to teach drawing, from beginners to experts. All good art teachers start from here; if your art teacher starts with human anatomy or something else, he will not be able to teach well. Even if I did not learn from him, Fernando Sena is a highly-esteemed artist and teacher, and people who doubt or question his mastery should be able to match his credentials.
I can see that Mr. Sena is a competent artist and engaging and so lively on how he teaches the craft, I would be so pleased to have him as an art instructor,, but I agree with Mhakoyskiman that TEDxTalks may not be the right venue for his drawing "tutorial".
I have to agree with Mhakoyskiman on this one. This is more like a tutorial on how to draw rather than a TED talk that shares new ideas/concepts/technology.
I don't think Mr. Sena here gets the whole concept of a TED talk. The lecture is very crude. Plus there's too many anatomy book out there that tackles the same topic, better. Where's the "idea worth spreading" dun? Maraming mas mahusay na visual artist na merong "idea" dito satin, nakakalungkot lang. sana sila nalang.. but still, respect for Mr. Sena, nice attempt.
I hope TED will invite Mhakoyskiman. Hintayin ka namin and let's see how you understand the "concept" of a TED Talk if that notion truly exists. It seems you're trying to impose a standarized way of delivering public speech the way most public speaking books/coaches are positing: "From intro to conclusion narrative plus kung ano ano pa". The problem with such imposition is that it pushes people to be less authentic (especially for those who did not undergo a formal public speaking training) and it veers them away from the very point of public speaking -- that is to communicate ideas. I don't say that the manner of delivery is not important. However, we should put premium to the content over the technicalities of public speaking. The speaker has an art and wisdom to share. Measure the person based on that and not based on different criteria that are inappropriate.
TEDx ba talaga ito or Nagtututro ng klase?HOw can you say magaling ang mga pilipino sa English kung ganyan mag speech parang nagtuturo ng klase panu yan ma share sa buong mundo kasi ang tedx WOrldwide talk?
Have you even watched TED talks from other places? They also speak in their native tongue. That is what the close caption is for (even though it isn't 100% accurate).
Please be wise in our speeches. And by the way, kindly understand "These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event." in the video description.

Do Filipinos switch languages back and forth like that? It's fascinating!
Pat Ryan Yes
It's very common. So don't be surprised
Edit: It's _VERY_ common
Edit: also, most (like "every") Filipinos are bilingual or trilingua (Spanish).

Pwe!
I hope TED will invite Mhakoyskiman. Hintayin ka namin and let's see how you understand the "concept" of a TED Talk if that notion truly exists.
