  • We review the new 2019 Toyota Yaris Hatchback in Kimberley, this little car has grown up and is no longer a basic means of transport from Toyota. Packed with technology inside the infotainment system and really good rear passenger legroom the new Yaris sets a strong case for itself.
The only issues we experienced with this car was the automatic CVT gearbox is terrible and the limiting 2 safety airbags are lacking compared to the competitors.

I bought this Yaris in 2018; the cvt model. I've never gone over 3.500 rpm, so havent experienced that sound problem. Your review, was very informative and helpful. I'm still happy with the car and I've not had one mechanical issue. I will, though look into extending the warranty. Thanks, again!.

Thanks for sharing. I only heard the CVT noise if you really step on it and drive the car aggressively. You will likely experience ongoing Toyota reliability.

hey! it's quite decent. Will work for a small family or single person.

I actually took a Corola Quest for bigger boot, except for some ground clearance issues on rough roads and speed breakers it was all good.

The Yaris doesn’t share the same engine with the Etios. The are huge differences although both are 1.5.

In 2019 I test drove a brand new 2019 Toyota Yaris at the dealership. I was very unimpressed. I would stomp the gas down at a red light after it turned green and the engine would just roar, but when you watched the speedometer it was barely moving and I could smell something burning. A brand new car is not supposed to have a burning smell coming from it. I think they are junk. I would get a Corolla instead.
