Kinda related side-story, I was exploring a mil-surplus shop in Japan and of all things, they had a coldstreamer's red coat. Like, I am talking, two-button grouping, their regimental badge, the works. Had a good chuckle to think of all places, I would find a replica coldstreamer coat here in Japan. Update: I went back to Japan for a trip and made it a point to stop by this shop. It was gone so now there is someone with a replica Coldstreamer's coat.
@@generaladvance5812 Excellent question! Sadly, as tempting as it was, no. I didn't. Too expensive for something I had no use for other than a wall decoration to point out when I had guests over..... which isn't often.
They do, but ever heard of "don't see don't tell"? If they show it, it not only embraces the person (even though it's not their fault), but seems like they are "weak". Back before the 90s, they called it out and described what happened, like "well this poor drummer gets to cool off at least. It is sweltering and this isn't easy stuff".

Because occasionally (due to manning issues) officers and men are swaped between regiments, and usually the officers keep their old uniforms.
