Awesome Job! I truly want to do something like this with My GAMO SWARM MAGNUM . I too prefer keeping My rifles slung over in front and ready for action . Thank You for this thorough and informative contribution to the airgun World.
Thank you! I'm glad that the information and method may help you with your GAMO Swarm Magnum. There's just something about having the rifle at the ready in the front. 😊
Thank you brother! I hope it helps some of the folks looking for ways to set up a sling to their Break Barrel and/or any other rifle for that matter. But more so with the Break Barrels which most don't have a set up for a sling. 😊
Add that single point nut buster. I use a 2 point on mine. (AR) . Much better control. I just got my gamo whisper .22 cal. I'll be setting that up next
Yea I got a notification and decided to stop by tonight. I see'em all the time on FACEBOOK. Has good content. Gotta show some love and support for fellow AIRGUNNERS. 😁 How are you? 😊
I am also a true JB Weld believer lol Yes, the threads on the screws were fine. I've had this setup on my first Gamo Swarm Whisper for a few months now and it has definitely held like a champ. Thank you for stopping by. Don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already 😁
I think you stripped that second screw...but that JBWeld should hold up well. I'm a pretty tall guy and with those rifles, its hard to use one as it would touch the floor, unless you had it above waist high. If under 6ft, its totally pointless...Unless there is another way of slinging it?
I have a Gamo .22 Gen2 break barrel pellet rifle. I was using the scope that came with the gun but was not satisfied so I ordered the BSA Sweet .22 Rifle Scope. I took to the old scope off and tried to put the new one on. There is a round metal part sticking out under the scope that won't let it sit flush on the mounting rail. Am I missing something or do I need to get a different mounting rail? I Ordered this scope from Gamo, telling the lady what I had. She did not say anything about a mounting problem. Any suggestions. Gamo closes at 3:00PM Central Time on Friday.
I would get a recoil rail for that Gen2 Magnum. If you spent some money on the scope, you might consider protecting it. That pin is to help the 2 piece rail on it to absorb recoil, but I dont think their physics engineering makes sense. So a recoil rail does have the pin, and sits perfect. Lot of folks sell it for $40-60, but they are from the same factory as the $16 version. You have to take it apart, as the $60 version, and reassemble so everything is firm. You can use LockTite on the screws, as over time and shooting they may loosen up. BUt works great, and saves your scope. I didn't even get a pricey scope (under $200), but I dont feel like buying another due to recoil.
I buy mine via Amazon. You can type in: Climbing Rope Mountaineering Adjustable Rope Military Tactical Safety Climbing Multi-Function Safety Accessory Cord with D-Ring for Outdoor. and get the color you prefer. Thank you for stopping by. Don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already 😁
Looking good brother.
