As a recovering alcoholic myself, it took a sincere desire to change surrender it to God putting footwork to those prayers and working with others who desire to live & face life head on instead of ' checking out" & numbing out the bad stuff but walking thru it with Him & others who lift one another up & call them on their "bs". But for the Grace of God there go I for when I am weak ,He is strong 💜

Beautiful song.......I will pray that all of the Non-Believers! I had a brother that died of a massive heart attack last May the only comfort we got was knowing that he went so fast that his Nitro vial was in his hand not even opened...very quickly! I have always believed in signs that we get from loved ones that have passed.....I talk to my brother & right after he passed I was crying & told him I needed to know that he was okay!! I turned on my radio & that song that was ending was "After Midnight" (I didn't get that connection right off...the last time he came to my house was after midnight) the radio station had played 3 songs & you can call in with your answer & win tickets to a concert.....Well when they asked the winner for his name he said "Kevin Knowles" (that was my brothers name! I live in a small town in NH there is one other man with that name I contacted him & he was in the hospital & never won tickets! My Aunt tried to call 5 different #'s for the radio station & not one phone was answered for the rest of that day! I believe the callers first name was Kevin....but the last name was different.....the Knowles sounded like a digital recording that you get when you get a message to please message for .. .then it states the person's name digitally! My Dad passed in March & I know my brother came for him......I miss them both but I know we will be together again one day!!

He came on a smaller stage after his break where we were sitting and there he sang a few songs and gave a young lady his guitar and we were 3 seats away from him. Love all of his music and Nicole is a very lucky woman to have such a beautiful soul be your spouse.

I just found out that this song was written by Keith with Jane Wiedlin and Charlotte Caffey of the Go-Go's!!
Very true! They all wrote it about their recovery! It is magical and one I wish he still performed in concert! It is my favorite! The last few times I saw him he did not sing it and I understand with all his hits it is hard to pick and chose but this song is an anthem for anyone fighting substance abuse!
