This is probably going to be the first and last time ever I am going to state something like this about Eurorack: - The LXR drum module seems to be actually reasonably prices. 6 drum voice for around 440€ is decent.
My LXR eurorack module arrived 2 days ago! I've had my eyes on it since it came out, and now I finally own it! I honestly think it's the single best drum module on the market. Nothing else seems to have this much flexibility, and at such a good price. About 16 months ago, you guys organized to send a Sequential Switch V2 to my local modular vendor in Korea, we had arranged it over email. I just bought my LXR from the same store. All my Erica modules so far are great, but this one is the best.
LXR-2 is the coolest drum machine right now I think, especially in that price range. Perfect for the darker side of Electro, Techno and also Industrial. I opted for the stand alone version and not the euro module. Having it clocked with 808 and S2400 and Eurorack boxes at the moment. Amazing. this is 10/10. I'd hope that in future software updates we can do more than 2 parameter locks per step. 6 or more would be nice.
Just picked one of these up today! And the Erica drum sequencer is on its way. Cant wait to get them both up and running, closest thing I’ve found to Machinedrum in modular so far 🎉
been so excited for this video to drop. had the opportunity to mess with LXR02 at perfect circuit, making me even hungrier for this. realizing more that digital has it's place in my sound... look at the time, time to start a new rack🤘🏼😭🎛 congrats on the official release!
Would it be possible to let us save a morphed kit on the euro version too? It's a bit disappointing that it's not in because it's such a fun and useful way to make new banks. It would be especially good for eurorack users since many of us have it mounted in a rack where it might be harder to sit and tweak sounds for hours.
Can u describe the sample and hold patch , is it easy or hard to setup? That’s one of my favorite patches; y’all need to make a video showcasing the S&H techniques 😭😫 I’d pay!
If I was rich, I’d buy all of your machines/products/instruments, but unfortunately, I’m a working drone, so I’d have to save up for ANY of your stuff. - As a working drone, if your stuff was in more affordable price ranges, I’d buy everything you’ve got.
@@timk8021 I borrowed a friend's desktop LXR-02 since leaving my answer and damn with the right MIDI sequencer it's crazy how much you can do! The desktop unit might actually be more versatile, plus if you want CV ins you can always have CV to MIDI CC module!
I've already two LXR-02 (I bought a second one just in case but I use them both, lol..), thanks to its versatility I'll also put a LXR in my case very soon and will finally be able to store my second LXR-02 in the spare flight. Thanks Erica's and Sonic Portion's teams; I didn't like Digital Drums Boxes that much before, but I really felt in love with yours and it opened a entire new world of sounds for my live set. Now, having it in Eurorack can make it sound different 'cause we can trigger it differently, but I wonder if the outputs are euro or line level ? Nice video, thanks !
@@girtsozolins4171 Thanks Girts, and not only for your answer, but for all those lovely modules that you brought to us.. My first Erica Synths was the crazy D-tech vcf many years ago and I still use it very often. Since then many Erica's modules have entered my cases and none have left ! Thanks..
High quality means high prices. Great materials, fairly paid people and environment care isn’t cheap. For half the price we might get some cheap plastic synth with just a couple samples (barely customizable) and toy feeling knobs and it wouldn’t sound so good which would represent the opposite of Erica Synths aim.
It’s always so hard to have everyone to understand about prices, businesses and “lower prices” isn’t something easy to do. I like when a company cares about their economy (Erica Synths sources and makes almost everything in Latvia), and if something isn’t cheap it means that it has some innovations or some more niche things. I’m not arguing that prices are overall high but I can understand for something like the Roland TB03 that it’s price might be quite high due to use of plastic as well. Calling the Perkons only a “4 track drumbox” means that you may be in the wrong place to find your synths. Remember the analog and the audio quality. You can still buy an MPC for a fraction of the price and have millions of more features and possibilities if the price concerns you and you don’t mind of materials etc. Another example that you can see it Rotatory mixers for DJ and “normal” ones, the first ones costs more than double price but delivers different feelings and higher audio quality. Btw business isn’t something easy and prices are usually based on different things which is always seen from the surface and made it easier from outside. Have a nice day 😉
@@stephanrewind the point is, you don’t need to buy expensive gear to make great music. I want Ferraris to cost less. Meanwhile my old truck does me fine.

Love having this as a eurorack module! LXR benefits from all the weird timing/sequencing possibilities of eurorack. Get off that grid!

Absolutely amazing. Pre ordered!
You guys have been making some amazing equipment lately. Keep up the good work 🤖👍
This is endless fun! Looking forward to racking this drum synth.
10:22 my dream case, although I'd try to find a way to get a plonk in there

Nice gotta get one of these 🙌
Great tandem! When I assemble the first kits of lxr drum, I also thought it would be cool to combine with modules!
Sounds absolutely insane!
Dig the ending jam!
Awesome!!!

I got to play with it on Dutch Modular fest. So much fun! Great module.
When was there the Dutch modular fest? I’ve never e heard about it, though it sounds awesome
@@Crypto2638 it was Saturday September 3. Will be again next year.
I can highly recommend it. 👍
Ah Yessir, that's pure country goodness.
LETS FREAKING GOOOOOOO! 💀💀💀🗡🗡🗡
wait. at @10:27 demo set, how can the sample drum triggered without gate input? i can see the gate led is blinking but no cv on the trig 1&2 input?
Triggers are wired internally in the Techno System.
Does it still have midi tho? Should be mandatory with multi-voice drum modules to cut down on cable spaghetti
Sounds amazing :)
Amazing!!! Can't wait!🔥🔥🔥
ooooohhhhhh yeeeeesssssss !!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
What module is running the vocal sample at 12:50?
Sample Drum!
So good, I wish I have enough space for it.
Wowwww 😱

So finally shipping ?
Does it have a clock input?
amazing! pls send me these eurorack!! i need it!
Does it have internal triggers on the back side as other drum modules?
No, this module doesn't have that feature.
Are these 24 bit samples?
Do you offer the sequencer with black buttons?
You buy the black buttons from them separately

Building an eurorack system just to own this and a Nerdseq 😂
No midi in? That's a shame. One-feature-short-from-greatness.
There is the desktop version for MIDI, I think it makes sense to keep this one CV/trig
I agree. Makes it not doable for me 😢
Get the desktop if you want midi.
