    The camera cage does not provide “a lot of protection for the camera”, the camera extends well beyond the cage. I love this frame but if you really want the camera secure you need to print some bumpers.

      Hi @nycfpv - agree that the GoPro lens could be better protected. We designed it that way to keep it light for sub 250g. Had already several harder crashes and except a few scratches the lens is fine. You can also get a replacement GoPro lens from Flywoo for around 60 USD. The GoPro mainboard, which is the expensive part, is much better protected than in your typical naked GoPro mount.

      @@skkyfpv Hi, I hope that you can answer my question. I recently crashed my nakd' gopro and I assume the camera is broken because the Gopro OSD works but not the camera feed is black. Should I "risk" spending 60 for a new camera module?

    • @skkyfpv
      @skkyfpv วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@thirdpartycookie Sounds indeed like either the GoPro lens or the ribbon cable between the lens and the mainboard is damaged. Would first test if the cable looks okay and if does, then indeed order a replacement lens from Flywoo.

      @nycfpv: If you're referring to the O3 camera lens, then we've addressed this with a new mount. In the latest version it does not stick out of the camera cage anymore.

    when you said "it is the MOST durable- I cut off the video cause it was liar time, and that made me not want any more

      Believe Chris means the most durable naked GoPro setup for sub250g. Or which one do you have in mind?

    Please make supernova motors sized for the AOS 3.5.

    Really Cool, holding out for the DJI04, which should be released early next year!!!

      Thank you. Looking forward to the O4 as well and am curious how it will stack up against the GoPro. I still see people sticking GoPros on their Avata 2 🤣 Either way, there are still lots of GoPros and other VTX out there that want to be flown 😃

    Looks a good way to use the camera to me, i just want to ask about image stabilisation , as i know GoPro have a accelerator or gyro which helps for image stabilisation ,,,,, If you twist the pcb of the camera in different direction from the image sensor ???? will affect??? or no ??? thanks for your informations , 👍

    • @skkyfpv
      @skkyfpv 10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Gabriel, the GoPro gyro sits on the GoPro lens module and is therefore not affected by the angle of the PCB. You can use GyroFlow and Reelsteady for stabilization like with every naked GoPro.

    Those motors seem to be 1504. The 1404 ones have a seam line around them and frosted top.

    • @skkyfpv
      @skkyfpv 10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Good catch ;-) The skky kit works with 1504 and 1404 motors under 250g. We recommend 1404 motors as they provide plenty of power and are 9-10g lighter which gives you room for a bigger battery like a 750mAh.

    This drone is a game changer, I have the EVO version and it flies great, absolutly the perfect size with great performance!
    The only thing is I still can't understand how you managed to stay below 250g, I have 1404 motors (Tmotor, the lightes of that size), f745 AIO, O3 air unit and flywoo M10 nano GPS, without TPU parts and anything else and it weighs 185g + battery (4s 650) which about 70g

    • @skkyfpv
      @skkyfpv 9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you. That's the secret source of the skky35 🤣 check-out the weight planner and build videos on our website on how to get to 180-183g dry weight incl. GoPro. It's a lot about the details: Picking the right components (naked O3, light capacitor, light AIO) and then about optimizing weight at every step of the build (short cables, light mounts, etc.). There are more than two dozen of skky35 builds out there - so it's a nice challenge but definitely doable 😉

      This depends heavily on the flying style. For cinematic filming with 60-80km/h and GoPro recording we get 5+ min and 5km with a 750mAh 4S HV under 250g. Can reach up to 6-7min if the battery is new and you fly a bit slower.
      With a 550mAh you should get around 4min 😉

    Nice kit!🎉
    I built a redkyte xdrei (same idea) and had some bad troubles with micro vibrations in the gp. I tuned it and did all I could, but just soft mounting the hole deck plate helped.
    Maybe I change the frame to this; it looks way stiffer!

    • @skkyfpv
      @skkyfpv 23 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi Ralf, I myself had two xdrei builds and could not fully solve the jello after many weeks of tinkering and tuning. Hence I was looking for a low-vibration frame as an alternative and found the AOS 3.5 V5 which fits the GoPro perfectly. That's how skkyFPV was born. The good news is that you can reuse nearly all your XDREI components except maybe the motors - where we recommend 1404 with 3000-4000kV. But the frame also works great with other motors. No more jello ;-)

    • @skkyfpv
      @skkyfpv 6 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I had already many crashes and apart from broken AOS arms the drone was always fine. Once flew with 90km/h into a metal sign 🤣🫣
      Given the drone is so light, it is more durable than it looks like.
      Having said that, this is obviously not a bando basher 😉
