Agreed, I'm a musician as well and I love funk / soul. In the UK my pleasure is going to clubs like Ronnie Scotts and the Jazz Cafe, some of the best clubs in the world, to watch the likes of Deodato, Dr Lonnie Smith, Billy Cobham, The Blackbyrds, Jocelyn Brown and others. I would book to go and see this lot if they were here, no doubt, they are brilliant.

Mc Fadden and Whitehead called on all of their brothers and sisters never to look back, but to keep going forward. Based on what is going on here in America right now your timing for this anthem couldn't be better. This song is one of many anthems I grew up with. Curtis Mayfield and the Impressions "Choice of Colors" is the first that comes to mind. In Greensboro, North Carolina, which is close to where I grew up, there were "Sit Ins" in 1960 and 61 I believe which was a non-violent stance that spun off from Ms. Rosa Parks. Protest were peaceful in the US until late 1963, everything broke down when Dr King was killed. Today things don't feel right. Everything is going to pieces at the same time. I didn't know there was a pandemic 1968 until this year. This whole thing smells bad.
What's interesting about what you wrote, in a historical context, is that the song itself, released in April, was robbed of being a bigger hit by the Disco Demolition at Comiskey Park in July of '79. Read the reasons and theories for that Demolition... This song deserves to be revered as highly in Pop Culture as We Are Family and I'm Coming Out, but it tends to be forgotten. Only those of us who were there in 1979 seem to remember it. It had the potential to be a true anthem, but its progress was stopped by the whole world embracing the one-note concept called "My Sharona".
Con Delo is one of the best bassist I've eva seen perform. He nails it everytime. An absolute beast on the bass! And I'm a huge fan of Nikki as well, a flawless and absolute gorgeous singer.

Nailed it. HSCC is in the right place at the right time and are riding the lightning. This is their time to shine on the world stage. With 1000s of new subs every week they obviously got something right! People are sick of the garbage currently on the radio passing for so-called "pop music" when it is nothing more than kids who can't sing auto-tuning to canned electro tunes because they can't play musical instruments either. HSCC is that breath of fresh air into the current music stagnation with their unique performances of old classics which are just on another level of talent altogether. I'm looking forward to when things settle down and they can get their tour schedule in north America sorted! Starting in Vegas will get things rolling out of the gate with a bang!

Love this band! Dave Ross is an excellent keyboardplayer. He doesn’t need the newest synth for the sounds. He gets the best sounds out of his Korg Extreme from 2004 in every song. Excellent playingstyle and programming the sounds and splits and layers. Best coverband! Cheers from The Netherlands.

Vision L well it is in the disco genre as well as r&b and pop.. it has been used in a lot of meetings and projects in sales business weight loss and other areas as a theme to motivate or inspire for sure .. clout it was released in 1979 as a disco song..
What HSCC has to offer here is more infectious than any virus. Like many others I’ve become mesmerized by the quality of these brilliant cover renditions. What you’ve donated to the world right now is immeasurable Yes, immeasurable when we need it most…. Love this band! Dave Ross is an excellent keyboardplayer. He doesn’t need the newest synth for the sounds. He gets the best sounds out of his Korg Extreme from 2004 in every song. Excellent playingstyle and programming the sounds and splits and layers. Best coverband! Cheers from The Netherlands.

Yes the Korg Triton Extreme has served me well and is a very capable synth however as you said it is over 15 years old and has done thousands of shows and it’s time for retirement.
I am picking up my new KORG KRONUS tomorrow, I’ll have quite a lot of sound programming to do.

Wow, I was so excited to listen to this cover of Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now as it is our graduating theme song from hugh school in 1979! One of my fav all time songs. It was so great to see the band all back together again and thank you for always selecting great songs which bring back great memories. Great vocals ladies -- Pina, Sarah, & Nikki !!!

Wow! This band is SPECTACULAR! Bands doing covers can sometimes distort the true originality and sound of the song in question. If this group came out with this song before McFadden & Whitehead did - the sounds would be exactly parallel. And those instrumentalists are on fire! I could watch and listen to this group all night! I'm sure McFadden & Whitehead would tip their hats to you! BRAVO!!!

Vision L well it is in the disco genre as well as r&b and pop.. it has been used in a lot of meetings and projects in sales business weight loss and other areas as a theme to motivate or inspire for sure .. clout it was released in 1979 as a disco song..

The bass line is out of this world. Singers get all the credit, but the bass does much of the work.
