I know it is your job to hype up the Rebels, but I really think you are right on all your analysis that you give on your daily shows. I claim Starkville as my hometown, but I have to say that I have never been as excited to see Ole Miss perform as this season. Fans "appreciate" defense, but they don't love it like I do. I am expecting good things. I am from the Johnny Cooks and Glen Collins years at State and they turned me on to defensive play.

Although I'm Ole Miss alumnus, I also remember when State had also John Bond, Dana Moore, Louis Clark, and Kent Hull. I have many relatives in Becker, Mississippi who are adamant State fans. Beating State is like beating up your younger brother. Great team back then.

The team has evolved into a deep roster with experienced talent at all positions. Dart will be better protected and don't forget the helmet mic. This is an amazing time and we all need to enjoy it.

I don't trust SEC officiating Ole Miss will need to beat them too much like the LSU game.

You can bet your bottom dollar if Bama needs to leapfrog over Ole Miss to get to SEC championship game, the refs will help some teams to upset Ole Miss

And it's not just the officials on the field I question the validity of The Alabama supreme Court in Birmingham on reviewing plays. That system needs to move to neutral site like Charlotte NC or Omaha.

Probably not Texas with Ewers and Manning.

We need to get rid of the Paul Finebaum show on The SEC Network. All he does is promote Alabama and nobody else exists. This is supposed to be illegal on the SEC Network. The SEC made Texas get rid of the longhorn network as a rule to joining the SEC. Yet Alabama gets away with it with the Paul Finebaum show

@@darelleubanks5473 finebaum disses on everyone, including Alabama back before they were so dominant. You obviously haven’t watched much. He also has excellent guests.

"Maybe the best quarterback in the history of Ole Miss?" Statements like that are why nobody takes you seriously.

He gets Ole Miss to the Playoff...He is the best QB in Ole Miss history...He will have every record and be the winningest QB in Ole Miss History.
      And thanks for the view

I am part of that ÑOBODY who DOES take him seriously. Saying NOBODY is misleading & just a FLAT OUT LIE (just like Donald Trump's LYING VIEWS regarding the 2020 Election -- WON fairly, as ALL court cases stated, by BIDEN.)

I take Steve seriously as do everyone on this blog! This fellow works his butt off and produces a great assessment of Ole Miss sports. Please quit your rhetoric and post more responsible statements.

@@jasonsaban3883For a low populated state we do pretty well with what we have historically. We are up and coming as a major force in college football much like during Archie and Eli's time when we were close. Give us some credit!
