    Is the passenger area of the seat any thicker and is it more comfortable than the stock seat? This is the only area I want more cushioning. I don't want the front area any higher. I'm 5ft 8in and barely touch the ground now, but my wife wants more cushioning in the passenger area.

    • @Woodzman
      @Woodzman  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t remember how much thicker it is but it is better foam. I still use the Mad Dog pad when the wife ride with me.

    I have the Low version with the gripper cover, i must say it's way better than the stock but sometimes still hurts over bumps, If i was a taller guy i would definatley got the tall version, not that i gained a lot with the short version but every bit counts with a short inseam.

    • @Woodzman
      @Woodzman  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stand up over them bumps

    • @Woodzman
      @Woodzman  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never had the low seat but I think the foam is the same as my tall seat and the foam is not as soft as stock and that is a good thing. The stock foam is to soft and smashes flat. The foam on the seat concepts is a lot better for sure.

    • @ripmax333
      @ripmax333 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Edward Hall as woodzman sad the seat concept has a more harder foam material , definitely harder than stock. And the gripper version is helps you lock into position during hard breaking.

      I knew you would and I think it is great bro the crf250l deserves the love man. Great all around true dual sport bike that can handle cross country trips long commutes or single track and all in between, and can be made to climb any hill you come across if you want to gear it that low. keep this one even if you ever want to get a bigger bike so you don't have to mad a 3rd crf250l lol! If thin bike had the 12 tooth larger sprocket like my wr250f I am sure it would not bog even on the steepest hill climb. Just going to a 13 42 for off road riding has made a huge improvement on the big long technical 2nd gear climbs. Everyone I ride with now has a new respect for the 250l and people are now stopping me thinking it is the new 450l because of how I at 145 lbs. am able to rip this thing around like a dirt bike. Just no large jumps or super fast whoops like the wr250f likes to do. The wr250f can also pull the front wheel up with throttle only at 45 mph to clear a rut or whatever, and that is nice for faster paced riding, but it is nowhere near the comfort and rideability of this crf250l on the road or even relaxing comfort on the trail. I just ordered this seat kit for the wr250f as well along with a rear aluminum cargo rack. Once you have these luxury's it is hard to ride with a numb sore butt and not being able to carry your gear and tools as easy. I may have to get a second Nelson Rigg bag like you recommend woodsman, like I use daily on the 250l I never take it off now!

    Was your complete seat a drop in replacement?
    I’m having a hard time with the company right now. I’m on my second complete seat and both had a defect. A lot of time wasted.
    The bolt holes on mine have not been centered in the tabs and make it not possible to get two bolts in. I could have saved time and money but just getting the kit and stapling it to myself. In my experience so far, the Honda seat pan has better tolerances than seat concepts pan.
    SAVE MONEY! get the kit and not the complete!

    • @Woodzman
      @Woodzman  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow , yea on my 2014 when I got the complete seat, it was perfect, the seat pan was pretty much identical to the stock. My 2018 I just got the kit

    Question for CRF250L owners... my 2017 acts strange sometimes. When in the higher gears and put a lot of load on engine the bike cuts out for a second. The only way to describe it is feels like you pulled the clutch in while on throttle. The bike jerks and looses momentum. I replaced the clutch thinking that was it but nope. This is driving me nuts cause I seem to be the only one with this problem. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

      I changed them on my 2014 250L to the double take mirrors but I think on this bike I will leave them stock. They work pretty good unless your in the brush. That is where the double takes are nice because you can fold them in.
