- This video demo shows a couple of patches included in The Legend. Overall The Legend comes with more than 400 patches, both modern and vintage, made by leading sound designers.

I have many synths in my library (Omnisphere 2, Synthmaster, Massive, Monark etc.) and always back to The Legend. It makes me feel so good when I’m playing with it. Great, bold and massive sound with an analog soul. After all, you can use it as a great fx filter! My favourite is „drive” knob that concrete boost any sound you have in your DAW. The quality is perfect! Don’t think, just buy, it’s worth any penny! There is a lot of fun with creating the sound you want! 👌👊
Wow, this is way beyond the likes of Monark and Diva when it comes to sound quality, accuracy and functionality. This is simply the best emulation of a Minimoog I've ever used or heard... Unison, CV control and it's polyphonic!!! - This is just mindbogglingly good! Save yourself £3,000, buy this instead along with some CV control Rack extensions, then bung them all in a Combinator. It's so fat it's obese!!
Dig deeper, compare yourself in person like I already have. You'll then understand.
I mean the legend sounds great. But for a couple reasons I wound up going with Monark and I'm 100% happy with it. Like this vst, it's also pretty indistinguishable form the real thing - at least on certain patches.
I just bought it and have no idea what the performance is like.. Just this short demo convinced me.. remember Diva can do a lot more than just 8 voices though and has more emulations not just moog.. I have head butted with Urs in the past and I pretty much think he hates me but there is no doubting the quality of his synths and I will defend them. Anyway.. let's see how the Legend behaves on my new 16" MacBook pro.. gonna try it right now!
@Octavio P. Compare it to the real deal. I had a real one in my possession and own the Behringer D which is literally a pretty much perfect clone. Comparing this to the real ones, yes I pick the real one every time because it has slightly, and do mean like 5% more dynamics, but to be honest, because this now has Poly 8, patch memory, and controllable drift, the VST ends up being the one getting all the use, while the Behringer D collects dust. Yes I borrowed the real D (freshly serviced) to compare to the Behringer and that is when I decided it was a moot point comparing because they are that much the same. I would love to have the real one simply because the coolness factor, but honestly would end up after a few days always going to the plugin here, because in a mix, after a mastering compressor has been applied, there is NO WAY anyone could tell the difference!
This has to be the best Minimoog emulator I heard to date. When i heard a side by side comparison I couldn't tell the difference. Soft synths VA's are really coming along way.

Crazy good sounding plugin! Now I don't think I will need a minimoog reissue I was about to order. This thing sounds incredible and looks easy to use.
Listening to this with my A7x's and have to admit it sounds amazing. Instant buy.
This is one of the best software synth ever!
I didn't realize how incredible-sounding this VST was until I started playing with it tonight. Prviously I was a Diva guy, but I think I may have just converted. Both are awesome, but the Legend is noticeably easier on the CPU, especially when running multiple instruments. And the sound of the Legend is INCREDIBLE. Great presets, too

On par with Diva and Repro. Awesome plugin.
For the moment this is the most realistically analogue sounding soft synth.

I just downloaded the trial version for Windows 10 and it locked up during installation (had to end task). This wiped out all my VSTs out of the VST folder and I permanently lost everything in the folder including a VST I had been working on in C++. Very annoying! Don't know if there is malware on the site, but I'm not going to attempt to download again!
hey i noticed that there are audio inputs on the back in the reason LEGEND, what exactly can i do with this, i plugged a thor into it and it just appears to let sound pass through, are these audio jacks for filter FM or AM?? can you do a quick video showing what can be done with them???

Yes probably, together with the new patch browser introduced in DUNE 3 and Obsession.

Amazing analogish warm sound,you can't make the difference,very good for sound design from scratch,but what makes is "unbuyable" for me is that you can't play chords in unison mode which has to be a basic thing in a synth.Even the free famous Synth1 by Daichi has that.I will definetly buy it if they will upgrade it and make possible that basic feature.
Check out DUNE 3 which can do that. The Legend is a virtual-analog synth. Unison is always monophonic here since there is a fixed amount of voices, and Unison simply means playing back all of them at once.

I'm in the market for exactly this. But first I must know: are the settings identical enough to the original hardware, or a competitor like Artutia's product, that I can simply duplicate my settings from there to here and achieve exactly the same sound? I don't really care about the presets that come with this product. I want to know if I'm getting ~99-100% identical functionality under the hood as long as I duplicate my existing settings properly. Thank you.
If you check out our other comparison video, you can see it's possible, yes. It does require a lot of skill though. Sometimes a difference of 0.1% can make an audible difference, for example when it comes to oscillator tuning. In such cases, hardware knobs lack the visual accuracy, i.e. you won't even know what the parameter value actually is. Furthermore, each hardware unit sounds slightly different due to part tolerances and different internal settings. So generally speaking, copying settings 1:1 from a vintage-analog synthesizer without at least minor adjustments will never work, regardless of how great an emulation is. So listening and adjusting is mandatory if your goal is to obtain a precise match. That said, getting in the vicinity of a particular sound should be no problem even with very little effort.
I've downloaded the demo. Definitely sounds good, but the settings are a little different than what I'm used to. Is it possible to assign the mod wheel to the cutoff? Maybe I'm missing something. Overall, good work!
We just updated The Legend to v1.07, now you can assign MIDI controllers to arbitrary knobs and switches. So yes, you can assign the modulation wheel to the Cutoff knob.

Do you think that Dune 3 is capable of reproducing legend's sound?
Yesterday i watched video about Dune3 "Blade Runner" synth patch, and it's sounds damnnn good. So maybe D3 can do that, not sure.
If your gonna show the rack over and over,, how 'bout showing the settings used to get those sounds, which would have been more useful.
What you see are the settings, furthermore you can just open any of those patches in The Legend to see the settings - the patch names are given on the right.

Is it just me or is there too much reverb to hear the synth properly?

The reverb and delay effects are built in to the synth
Odd, I can't see any controls for them.
Andrew Robinson Idk, but the description for it on the Propellerheads website says that there is built-in reverb and delay. Maybe on the back? I know there is a lot more controls on the back of the rack, like cv/gate controls. I'd check out the website to see exactly what all parameters you can manipulate and where they are exactly.
The delay and reverb effects are adjustable on the back. Click round arrows in the upper right corner.
not thats its bad at a but these sounds are totally NOT Minimoog sounding at all
We made two videos, be sure to check the other one. This one simply shows what The Legend can do, it's not supposed to sound vintage.

Sorry guys, I don't buy this. I'm fed up with this kind of sound!!! Boring! I'd like something that sounds like Keyscape, or the neo soul linked vst!!! Guys! give us (Reason users, I mean) something capable to compete with the other DAWS! I would spend a lot to get a really good sound in Reason, I just can't find it!

Sorry to hear about your issues. This is certainly not the installer's fault, however, the installer does not delete any files at all. Furthermore please note that all our installers are standard Windows installers, not our own, i.e. they are used by millions of developers around the globe. If you randomly lose files on your system, we strongly recommend you run a malware check on your system.
