Congrats man. pleased for you, enjoy your posts but wouldn't say you don't have the 'gift of the gab', you're better at talking to the camera/watchers than you think & I am yet. ,We do hold a similar outlook about ChewYoub though. I also post my rides for fun, as a hobby and a way to enhance the ride, but am still heavily on the learning curve & in the dark zone of views, but getting there..
best of luck to you & ride safe mate 🤛🤜

@@SwenglishSteve650 Hi mate… Thanks for the kind words 😊
I really believe that it should be about enjoying yourself… TH-cam is just an extension to the hobby and a way of transmitting a passion! Hopefully also getting others involved in the hobby! Chasing views is a sure way to ruin the fun…
The day I start riding just for views is the day I’ll pack the ChewTube (I like that) in!! Still… It’s nice to see a little reward for the vids ai make! Won’t ever have the money for the Ducati V4S but even a little towards the massively overpriced insurance costs is a brilliant bonus!!
Keep up your vids mate… Take care buddy 😊🤘🏻

I enjoyed your video, really interesting for a YT noob like myself. Liked and Subscribed :) I particularly like the sound coming from your mic, can you share your set up, please? I used a DJI Action 4 camera and seem to be in a constant battle with the wind. The DJI Mic 2 is good but I never know where to put it, it picks up every breath and sniff. lol. Anyway, Ive waffled enough. Im off to watch some more of your content. Keep doing what makes you happy :)

@@LicenceToRide Hi mate… I find that the Mic works well in the helmet placed as low as possible with the wind muffle thingy(what’s it called?). Make sure you set the mic and receiver at both -12db (I know the DJI4 you can pair straight to the camera so may need to look at the settings there. I still get a little wind noise because my GTair2 is a little noisy but nothing too bad.. It has the chin guard that probably helps with the wind as well! I have a video I made a while back that maybe helpful: th-cam.com/video/JBa41y1OPkI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1XcUAojwvhQ86Kqg
Is your crash helmet quite on its own?
Massive thanks for the kind words and thanks for subbing mate 😊

@@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm Thank you for the swift reply. I have the mic on -12db. My helmet is Shoei Neotec 2, and fairly quiet. I tend to clip the mic to the sena mic arm but that puts it right in front of my mouth, I can hear myself breathing even with the "dead cat" on it. The really bad wind noice comes from the camera itself as it has 3 mics built in. Do you use a "wind jammer"? I tried to reduce the wind noise when editing but then you cant hear the bike.
Thanks for the video link, I'll check it out. Many thanks for your help :)

@@LicenceToRide I use a strip of Velcro on the back of the mic placing it just above the chin guard… It allows me to keep the mic a bit further from my mouth. Obviously your issue is that it’s just too close… Try the Velcro… Should help.

Well done. I was monitised on YT in January of 2024 but received my first payment in March 2024. In september of 2024, I was paid £118. In october 2024, I suspect my payment will be about £160. Over the months from March, the increase as a % has been on average about 25%. Assuming this 20% increase occurs every month, projecting out to the end of 2026, the monthly payments are quite incredible. Have a play with excel and have a look. This is purely adsense. Now with over 3K subs, maybe I need to look at this a little more strategically 😆. Just haring the experience 👍

Hi mate... Thanks for the great and detailed comment. I've subbed back and will enjoy checking yours vids (hopefully my views will help). I love the fact that your earnings are on the up every month. Is that because of the cumulative effect of viewers watching both new and old vids? Why a video does well or not, seems to be a mystery lost in the algorithmic abys of youtube.. Vids that I thought would do well didn't and visa-versa. I guess the best thing is to just carry on making vids I enjoy, and not get too deep into attempting to make videos just for views!
Not sure what's going to happen over winter as there's less opportunity to ride... I know that bike reviews do better but don't think I'll go down that route. So, I'm gonna keep on having fun making these videos and hopefully make a nice little dent in my yearly costs (insurance is getting criminal).
Take care buddy... Now to watch your channel!! 😊🤘

@@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm Thanks for the return sub 👍. My findings are, always ride on the bike and tell your story. Audio quality is paramount (and I am starting to address that problem). Go back to your old videos and turn on monitisation via the YT Studio. It appears (and this might be complete BS) that as you reach certain subs milestones (1k, 1.5k, 2k etc etc), more subs just go up and up and views go up. That does not mean that folk watch all the video, retention is a manjor problem today. Look at the analytics, I find most of my viewers are 45 years and older althought 25 to 35 is growing. Keep it simple - YT appears to be promoting smaller channels that are simple rather than super dooper editing. I was going to do a video on uninsured drivers on UK roads (1 in 25 are uninsured) but after further research, I realised that no one is intererest in this subject using the analytics tool - subsequently, I will not be bothering with this subject. I work in IT and a couple of years ago, I suggested to my boys (now 25 and 29) that they should start a channel. They said i had to prove it was worth it. So I started a channel. And now I have proved that money can be earned. This was the primary reason for the start of the channel however, now, I am enjoying so much that I just keep going. The boys have not yet started on their channels which is sad. Any questions, feel free to reach out 👍 and hope this was of some use

Hi mate... I like the idea about using analytics to understand if a topic is vald. That's a brilliant idea... Of course it won't stop me making videos on topics, that while not popular, are of particular interest to me. I will always keep the ethos of the channel to making videos primarily for myself, but of course if I can also mix in some hot topics to reach a wider audience.
I checked the old videos and the monetization symbol is on and I'm generating a small income from these videos (not much of course).
As for retention time... The 'youfs' of today sure seem to struggle with anything longer than 30 seconds. I guess though that my audience is aimed at the age group of the modern British Biker (50+). They are more likely to see a video through to at least the halfway point.
I really enjoy editing and strive to increase the quality... I hope that it helps but even if not I will carry on to strive to improve anyway.
Hope you manage to get the boys to get their channels running...

you are looking at it wrong, you are not supposed to please people, all you need to do is say or do something controversial (but legal), its all one big clickbait, so make sure your thumbnails always include a surprised/angry/shouty etc face. before you realise youll be buying mansions with youtube revenue

    • @TheBucksBiker-lh2nm
      @TheBucksBiker-lh2nm  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Hi mate... To my defence, and as I said in the video, I'm gonna carry on with the videos I enjoy even though it's not a category that traditionally gets massive views.
I do like the idea of upping my game with your thumbnail advise... Don't care about the mansion but would sure like to buy the new Ducati Panigale V4S (and have enough left over to buy the wife some flowers.
Thanks for the comment buddy... Take care 😃

@@TheBucksBiker-lh2nm first its a V4S, then maybe a track bike or ADV and suddenly you need a larger garage for all your bikes, do you know what usually comes with larger garages? MANSIONS! :D
in all seriousness i agree with you when it comes to changing your content to increase views and subscribers count, if your priority is just riding and recording and sharing it then it may take you longer to build up your channel but it wont put crazy amount of pressure on yourself and be more genuine, do what you like be happy!
