It is very seldom that I leave comments on TH-cam. I just want to say thank you Paul!!!! No one has ever broke this down in this way. I have tried to learn Spanish all my life only finding myself to quit. Discovering your channel is truly motivational!!
Omg I have been studying for a year on duolingo and with books from 30 minutes too an hour a day and i took college Spanish. . Of course I understand more than I thought I would but I've never felt like I was going to be able to speak it without a lot of expense. Just the first 3 lessons of cero to conversational have been a boon for me in terms of feeling that I am eventually going to be able to communicate verbally. Your method is simple and very encouraging. So glad that I found you!!
I studied Spanish and lived in Puerto Rico for 5 years. That was back in 1994. Needless to say although my ability to speak has somewhat been retained, my comprehension has plummeted. These lessons are perfect for me because in many cases they review what I know, but more importantly my ear for Spanish is coming back as you teach what really are the common phrases and constructions. I am trying to do one lesson every nite. I can't tell you how much I enjoy this. I especially like the your pace since it gives me a chance to repeat what you say and make sure my accent mirrors yours. Muchisimas gracias!
I absolutely love your lessons Paul, I am learning so much and have made a commitment to stick with your style of teaching as I am retaining so much more than I ever did with other teachers on YT. You are so thorough, clear and a great Spanish teacher. Again I would like to mention that the time, effort and energy you take to put these videos for us is so so appreciated. Thank you so much Paul. All the best to you and Linda! Much love!
Our family (ages 4 to adult) is greatly benefitting from your lessons! You are preparing us to be able to communicate with those we love from Mexico and we are thankful! Please keep up the fantastic work.
18:16 ganas can be translated as desire or appetite so I like to think of it as "I have desire to go to the beach" or "I have appetite of work" to mean I feel like working
I have been learning spanish for two weeks and I am very grateful that I found your channel. I am learning Spanish as my fourth language . Once again thank you for sharing your great Spanish learning formulas.
This is exactly how one should learn a second language. The cognates and ideas presented here establishes the foundation. Subsequent to that - one just has to practice and explore (and correct) conversations in a newer settings. I am so glad I found these - am a self learner but language is my passion. Thank you for all your work - past, present and future.
You're a very gifted Spanish teacher, imo. What I like best is that your content feels meta, micro, and intuitive at the same time. With other modalities, I've felt like I'm entering the language at some random point and growing out from there in who knows what direction. Thank you so much.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate it. I always tell my wife that I teach the way I want to be taught. It works for some people, but not everyone.
Again this lesson was great, you're the best by far. Appreciate how you take your time to explain and always encourage pronunciation. You keep building with each lesson. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Ive been at it for a month now. Lesson 1 got me actually putting full thoughts together in spanish. Something that I could not do before. This is hard and confusing, but it at least gives me a guide and something to improve. Before, I was out there on my own trying to figure out the language. Thanks for these videos so much!
U have organinized this masterfully... impressive. I always wonder if u can remember the moment that u came to realize..."wow...i think im getting this!" U r really good at teaching this and i am so thankful u decided to start ur show.
Even on my focused fluency journey these videos are super informative and have taught me so much including that I know more than I give myself credit for. Thank you so much Paul. It’s literally just putting words together… well not literally but you get the point. I just need to put the words that I know with the formulas that I’ve learned to make more sentences. You’re the best teacher! Right now, I’m focused on home life and teaching my kids more. Their dad is a native Spanish speaker from Mexico but they’re home with me 25/8. I’ve noticed my kids have become more comfortable with speaking it as I start to speak it more to them. Thanks to all of your lesson things are becoming more clear by the day!
Wow, this video is jam-packed with stuff. I try to write everything down from each lesson and have found it helpful. Such a good lesson. Thank you, Paul.
This was such a helpful series for anyone wanting to learn Spanish in real life! This would be especially helpful for anyone who wants basic skills needed for a move to Mexico or any other Spanish speaking country. Conventional classes yield far fewer results in my opinion . This not being a popular series just means folks weren’t ready to put in the effort, etc. Again, very helpful for me as I get ready for my move to Mexico.
I find this series to be very helpful to place all the fragments into a comprehensive structure. Know a lot of words and congratulations but not how to talk. Speaking along with you pulls it all together.
Loving this approach. And the emphasis on pronunciation. I learned most of my Spanish from reading and have a difficult time understanding the spoken word. I hope you keep adding to this series!
Thank you so much! I've been studying Spanish on my own for almost 2 years now and just these couple of lessons have helped me make sense of the language.
Hi QP, you are amazing! 👏 20 years ago I've learned the english language in a similar way. My english coach, a guy from North Carolina, used the same repetitive method.
These are great videos. I have been picking away at learning Spanish for years with varying success. I know a lot of words, but still can’t understand my in-laws when we visit them in Mexico nor say anything really meaningful. I am thinking so much about what to say, that I can’t naturally listen to them. These videos have helped a ton as has watching Univision without captions. Thank you for taking the time to create and put these out there. I have always wanted to just have a normal conversation with my mother in law. We see her again at their small Puebla in Jalisco in May. I am determined to not have to speak through translation this time. You are helping with that mission and it is very much appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to leave positive feedback. These lessons are not as popular as the short lessons that I make, so it's good to hear that some people find them useful. Take care.
Wow, i know zero Spanish but i have learned so much in 2 days. Im halfway through lesson 3. The explanations and the method of teaching… its brilliant.
I have been trying to learn Spanish for years... Finally everything is clicking and making sense! Thank for for teaching this model, now I know that I can learn and speak Spanish. I'm only two weeks in to your cero to conversational course, and have blown past any goals I ever thought possible for myself! I can't even imagine where I'll be a year from now. Honestly, thank you sooooooooo much!
Maestro, this course is the best for an advanced beginner level. It gets to the core stuff quick and lets you see what you need to do. you are a very good teacher. I got a n excellent you tube spanish series of 60 classes and 50 verbsfor $55, it was very good and clear. I went through it three times and transcribed it. Your course even from 2 kicks in the afterbruners.and pushed me ahead.........really great teaching, a unique approach that resonates with me.
Another absolute banger. Been loving this series so far man. Any free time I can get I try to squeeze in at least half of or the whole lesson. Got a notebook to write down all the translation drills too and am furiously writing as we go along. Really fun. On to lesson 4!
I am SO glad I discovered your channel! I am in Intermediate Spanish 2 currently & the 4 year gap in between had me at a slight memory loss. I have little problems hearing/watching and interpreting or reading but I often get confused on my verb tenses when in conversation. You have been helping me get back to the basics as I focus on my Spanish degree field! ¡Muchas Gracias, Paul!
I just want you to know that I am very excited about finding your course! Practical! THANK YOU1 I panicked when I saw your short episode on stopping - then hoped you would survive the hump you needed to get over with the Spanish person saying only Spanish people should teach Spanish... I AM SO GLAD YOU CAME TO TERMS WITH THAT! Congratulations! SO glad you did! Your lessons are invaluable and I haven't found another course that teaches the way you do (and have been through many and learned very little and am now sitting in Mexico beginning once again!!). So happy to have found you! And that your more recent posts are fresher than 2 years old! There is a place for you here and I am SO glad you have taken that to heart and have (as far as I can tell) continued to offer what you do! Thank you! Truly!
Excellent method and ideal content to get you speaking. Yes, speaking and not just reading. I have been trying to learn a long time but already its helping pronunciation Well done Paul
The formulas you share (I feel like, do you have time, etc.) are super useful. Your first three lessons have increased my ability to communicate many times over. I'm taking notes, and looking forward to your entire series. Thank you!
I'm really enjoying your course so far. I'm supplementing it with some other things I'm studying. I'm also a retired deputy sheriff living in Mexico, so I'm really focusing hard on learning the language so I can navigate better here. Great job!
Several months of Spanish in university and it didn't click. I feel like the pieces start to fall into the right places, this last hour was really motivational.. Thank you so much.
These are techniques that have worked well for me. I enjoy passing on the results of my years of trial and error. Hopefully, it will shorten the language-learning journey for others.
My husband and I are loving your class so far! This 3rd session really sped things up so we will need to be sure to practice a whole lot more before lesson 4! Thank you so much for an excellent learning experience!
I look forward to Lesson 4. You’re a marvelous teacher, Qroo Paul. Meanwhile, I’m plugging in nouns and talking to myself in Spanish. Many thanks for all you do.😊
Paul, honestly... in 3 of your lessons, I've gained so much confidence to build sentences! 3 years of Rosetta Stone... garbage! Countless hours with Duolingo... lol :) Point is -- Thank you!
I love these lessons. I'm 60 and my classroom Spanish is a distant memory. I got bogged down in online courses because I do know some things and got bored. These lessons are so practical and helpful. Looking forward to an immersion vacation when I've learned a bit more.
I'm happy to hear that you like this stye of teaching. I also get bored very easily, and that is why I create lessons with people like you and me in mind. :)
I memorized 132 false cognates and it has really improved my Spanish. I found a list, copied it by writing it out while sounding out each one. I practiced my list until I was familiar with each one. It has really expanded my vocabulary and helped me to stop making errors using words that sounded equivalent in English, but were far from it. Maybe you could have a lesson on this to help your learners of the Spanish language. Thanks for your tremendous work, Qroo Paul. I have learned so much from you and these plug-in lessons, and I look forward to Lesson 4.😊👍🏼
Thank you, thank you thank you. So grateful to have found your videos. I, like the many others, have tried alternate paths of self learning, and couldn't retain anything. With the way you explain and have us write down and give practices...i'm actually getting it and remembering it the next day. THANK YOU, and a coffee is on it's way!!!! :)
I am roughly a B1 level Spanish learner and seem to be terminally stuck at this level regarding my conversation skills. Decided to go through this series because I can always use a refresher. So far I am finding that repeating the translations out loud is providing some of the speaking practice that I am sorely lacking, plus the review is nice. Thanks Paul
This method is amazing! My Spanish is so much freer and for the first time in years of trying to learn it, I feel like I can actually use it. Edit: When I read over this comment after posting it, I subconsciously read it partly in Spanish, lol!
I want to thank you for your excellent lessons. I was just randomly watching youtube videos and not planning to learn a new language, until i watched your video! You made it so do-able. I watched 3 lessons straight and i love them all. I am planning to finish all your lessons. Thank you again!
Thanks for watching. I only have 7 lessons in this series at the moment. It wasn't very popular last year when I made it so I discontinued them. I will probably resume the course when I get back from Costa Rica at the end of the month.
I found this lesson easier this time as I went back over lesson 1/2. I also found writing the English sentences down and drawing a line between each phrase or word to then slot in the Spanish under it. So I'd do *Do you have | time to | study | Spanish? | * I found this helpful for me 😊.
I really appreciate the emphasis on pronunciation. A lot of this is review material for me but it is helping me to reinforce the correct pronunciation and ideas behind the constructs.
I just saw the note that the series was discontinued after 7. That is disappointing as this series has been wonderful and so helpful. I'll stay with it till 7 then move on to your other videos. Thanks Again!!!
I did discontinue after #7 because of the stats didn't really justify continuing them. Hopefully, you still get something out of the ones that are on the channel.
This is awesome. Better than these language learning apps. However they helped me a lot with vocabulary, so I understand the sentences you mentioned more. However, these videos are great! Thank you
i breezed through the first 2 but this one was much harder! awesome im happy to watch a video over and over until i understand and im ready to move on. Gracias!!
Paulie, this lesson has been a bit of a challenge to me and I have finally managed it, I will be doing a tad more practice on the quiero, puedo and tengo conjugations but thank you so much for making these videos, God bless.
Hi, your channel has helped me significantly! I’ve wanted to learn Spanish for years and now, in my professional role as a social worker, it would be extremely beneficial if I could become fluent. Please continue this series!! I’ve been watching everyday!
After these first three lessons, i am able to speak more Spanish to my fiancée than i have been able to in 4 years. Shes so happy and so am I, thank you Paul!
I have crawled along (off and on) for years with Rosetta Stone Spanish and never really enjoyed it. I really am liking Qroo Paul's technique and feel like there is hope that I can actually learn Spanish now. Muchas gracias señor!
Thanks man , i was really like to quit learning spanish , bcz i was bored 😑 but when i saw your first lesson, iam absolutely happy now and I learned many things and iam writing them in my note book everyday ❤️ thanks amd be continue man .
Hi. I love this course! I have been working fairly intensively with it since I found it 2 or 3 weeks ago. I was so disappointed when I saw Qroo Paul had decided to withdraw it. Keep up the great work QP. Your teaching style works well for me
Love your videos. I just began to learn Spanish about a week ago and they have been very helpful. The section here "to have heat" has confused me a little with both of the "to be" verbs. To have comfort and be comfortable for example.
Wow... this is really helpful! I have learned a lot of words on Duolingo, but this method is helping me construct sentences so I can actually CONVERSE with someone. Your presentation style is second to none! Simple but thorough. Good job!
I fast forwarded through the formal 'usted' and had to laugh at the endwhen you said, 'don't be. it'll be very clear to the person you're speaking to that Spanish is not your first language.' hahahaha you've got that right!!
Hola, sir paul. I learned a lot from your videos. I managed to completed the recent videos from aib it helps me to use your tricks. You made it piece of cake you guys are the best teachers included the aib channel.
Your channel is absolutely amazing, this series has been very educational so far and I’m so excited to watch the rest, I wish there was something similar for Arabic
I thought of an experience I had in Spain that shows how getting corrections at the time of interacting with natives stays with you far more than making mistakes on one's own. I was taught initially by a Mexican native speaking teacher that suggested I use usted whenever I met someone unknown or I was being introduced to a person. Then I was in a remote spanish school in Northern Spain (Basque Country) at a meet and greet which the teacher oversaw and I used the usted when introduced. All other students only knew Castilian Spanish. I was told it was far too formal, sounded unfriendly or you think the person is old enough to be addressed in this manner and in Spain usted was rarely used. So my two lessons were go with the flow of the land and expect to get it wrong. And making these mistakes are what you will remember best. I can remember exactly where I was at the moment I made this mistake. I wish I had learned the following phrases when learning tú and usted. The verb tutear means "to address as tú". You can call me by tú. Puedes tutearme. Please address me with tú. Tutéame por favor. Don't call me by usted. You can address me with tú. No me llames de usted. Puedes tutearme. Can I use tú with you? ¿Puedo tutearte? Have you ever asked or been asked to use usted (awkward)? Please correct me if I got any of these wrong.
Hi Rosemary. When it comes to the use of usted, Mexico is definitely one of the countries that leans heavily to the formal side. I know that is not the case in Spain. Tutear is a useful verb to know, although I have never had the need to use it in a sentence. If I am meeting someone in a social setting, they may start out as usted but when I use tú with them, they normally switch over too. As far as store employees etc, I tyoically use tú with them and they respond with the usted form. I have never had anyone ask me to refer to them in the usted form. Ever. All of your sentences with tutear were very good and accurate.

It is very seldom that I leave comments on TH-cam. I just want to say thank you Paul!!!! No one has ever broke this down in this way. I have tried to learn Spanish all my life only finding myself to quit. Discovering your channel is truly motivational!!
Thank you for that. :)
Super agree!
my sentiments exactly
Couldn’t say this any better!
Absolutely, best tutorials on TH-cam. Wish u did Portuguese too! No idea how I'm gonna learn that without this kind of learning!
Omg I have been studying for a year on duolingo and with books from 30 minutes too an hour a day and i took college Spanish. . Me too. I can understand but can't speak or translate. Paul's method is good.
usted es muy inteligente! mil gracias siempre!!
Great instruction and technique for learning more quickly. I appreciate your videos!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I'm an Arabic native speaker, English is my second language and yet you're the best teacher i find to teach Spanish
Thank you very much
Thank you! 😃

I am in complete SHOCK at how much I've learned in just 1.5 videos - great method! And, it's fun. :)

Again this lesson was great, you're the best by far. Appreciate how you take your time to explain and always encourage pronunciation. You keep building with each lesson. Thanks for taking the time to do this.
Thanks for watching, Pauline. I have been enjoying making these lessons.

My husband and I are thoroughly enjoying this conversational method. Thank you so much for this easy method.
Happy to hear that you like the lessons. :)
Loving this approach. And the emphasis on pronunciation. I learned most of my Spanish from reading and have a difficult time understanding the spoken word. I hope you keep adding to this series!
Thanks for watching them, Carla. I already have another one in the works. :)
I'm not a commenter, but these are Best Espanol lessons out there. So happy to see you are still making them, thanks.
Glad you like them!
Thanks for the instruction. I'll probably be heading to Puerto Rico with friends next summer, so this is proving to be very helpful.
Thank you so much! I've been studying Spanish on my own for almost 2 years now and just these couple of lessons have helped me make sense of the language.
You're the best teacher of Spanish one can find. I really respect your teaching style. And the productivity in a 30 minute lesson is amazing.
Thank you! 😃
Hi QP, you are amazing! 👏
20 years ago I've learned the english language in a similar way. My english coach, a guy from North Carolina, used the same repetitive method.

I am appreciating these fundamental lessons very much. Useful for both learning and review.

Thanks so much for leaving these up. I think it's great that you teach how to make sentences so quickly into learning the language.
These are techniques that have worked well for me. I enjoy passing on the results of my years of trial and error. Hopefully, it will shorten the language-learning journey for others.
Thank you for your lessons, Paul. They are a fun and effective way to learn Spanish.
Most easiest way to learn spanish. Thank you Paul. God bless you. Try to upload more videos, it's really helpful for us.

I do have a tendency to move quickly but I expect people to watch the videos more than once to absorb all the material.
Thank you so much Paul - these lessons are so valuable. We all learn in different ways and this is so much more user friendly than a written text.
Glad it was helpful!
I look forward to Lesson 4. You’re a marvelous teacher, Qroo Paul. Meanwhile, I’m plugging in nouns and talking to myself in Spanish. Many thanks for all you do.😊

Maybe you could have a lesson on this to help your learners of the Spanish language. Thanks for your tremendous work, Qroo Paul. I have learned so much from you and these plug-in lessons, and I look forward to Lesson 4.😊👍🏼
You sound like a very dedicated self-learner. That's great.
Awesome again! THANKS Paul
You are an amazing Español instructor, muchas gracias!
Thank you!
The Spanish tutor helped me conjugate with his graph.. but you are a way better teacher... wow. Gracias !
Wow, thanks!
You are so welcome!
Thanks Paul
I'm glad it is helping. It is common to for for folks to get stuck around the B1 level.
So how do you get unstuck? Not there yet but wondering

I'm gonna have to watch this one twice. Fantastic series!
Unique approach to learning Spanish. Thank you very much.
This is the best course to study South American Spanish. Thank you!
I'm glad you are enjoying it!
Thank you! I’m starting to speak and feel less fear 🎉
The lessons are perfect. I am looking forward for Lesson 4. Thank you so Much! Merci beaucoup! Muchas gracias!
I'm glad you like them, Jo-Anne B-T. I just posted Lesson 4 a few minutes aago.
I like your style of teaching , it works for me, Worcester UK..
I found this lesson easier this time as I went back over lesson 1/2. I also found writing the English sentences down and drawing a line between each phrase or word to then slot in the Spanish under it. So I'd do
*Do you have | time to | study | Spanish? | * I found this helpful for me 😊.
I really appreciate the emphasis on pronunciation. A lot of this is review material for me but it is helping me to reinforce the correct pronunciation and ideas behind the constructs.
I learn a lot, thanks! I can say you're the best teacher I saw here on youtube.
Thank you! 😃
I have just discovered your channel and lessons. Amazing teacher, thanks so much for making it so informative, straight forward and motivating.
Excellent lesson covering a lot of territory. Your teaching technique is providing the scaffolding upon which we can build our Spanish. Kudos.
Thanks, finstrand. :)
Gracias!!
I pack a lot into each video. I recommend that people watch them more than once. If you try to move through them too quickly, it's easy to get lost.
Paulie, this lesson has been a bit of a challenge to me and I have finally managed it, I will be doing a tad more practice on the quiero, puedo and tengo conjugations but thank you so much for making these videos, God bless.
Really cool stuff Paul
I'm glad you liked it. :)
As a beginner, I am so glad I stumbled on your lessons.
Hi, your channel has helped me significantly! I’ve wanted to learn Spanish for years and now, in my professional role as a social worker, it would be extremely beneficial if I could become fluent. Please continue this series!! I’ve been watching everyday!
You right senorita
After these first three lessons, i am able to speak more Spanish to my fiancée than i have been able to in 4 years. Shes so happy and so am I, thank you Paul!
That's awesome!
Gracias por todo , Im learning a lot with you already in only 3 lessons
Happy to hear that!
I have crawled along (off and on) for years with Rosetta Stone Spanish and never really enjoyed it. I really am liking Qroo Paul's technique and feel like there is hope that I can actually learn Spanish now. Muchas gracias señor!
I'm happy to hear that you like this approach. I hope it works for you. Take care.
Very happy to have discovered you. Great courses! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks man , i was really like to quit learning spanish , bcz i was bored 😑 but when i saw your first lesson, iam absolutely happy now and I learned many things and iam writing them in my note book everyday ❤️ thanks amd be continue man .
I'm glad it helped. Learning a language can be a pretty arduous process but there are some shortcuts.
So good! Paul, you are brilliant. Thank you so much! So structured , clear and useful
Since I subscribed to your channel, I know understand the foundation perfectly to build convo
Awesome, thank you!
Thank u for this video, i learned easy on how you explained the word into sentences. Your the best teacher Sir. Thank you!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching. :)
Hi. I love this course! I have been working fairly intensively with it since I found it 2 or 3 weeks ago. I was so disappointed when I saw Qroo Paul had decided to withdraw it.
Keep up the great work QP. Your teaching style works well for me
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.
Good job!
I'm happy to.hear that this method is working for you. :)
These videos are the best, muchas gracias Qroo!
I fast forwarded through the formal 'usted' and had to laugh at the endwhen you said, 'don't be. it'll be very clear to the person you're speaking to that Spanish is not your first language.' hahahaha you've got that right!!
Thanks, Paul, I like your way of teaching very much I am in Michael
Hola, sir paul. I learned a lot from your videos. I managed to completed the recent videos from aib it helps me to use your tricks. You made it piece of cake you guys are the best teachers included the aib channel.
That's great to hear! Thanks for watching.
Your teaching style is really amazing!!!! Thank you
Thank you! 😃
So happy I found your channel! Thank you!
Great episode and thank you i like the Tengo ganas de gracias amigo por tu ayuda otra vez y no espere a hablar espanol con fluidez gracia otra vez
