      Elephant Garlic should be ready to harvest in approximately 280-320 days. Depending on growing conditions, plants can take two years to form full size bulbs. Bulbs are ready to harvest once the plant has flowered and the flowers have dried.

      It sure is! Our season here in Australia starts in Autumn and ends at summer as it gets way too hot to grow in Summer! Our winters are quite mild so that’s when we grow or brassicas! 🙂🍅🥫🌸🌽🥦🌶️

    Another lovely calming video. Those cauliflowers look amazing. I also hate to throw anything away. I can’t even bring myself to throw seeds after my lettuce and herbs have bolted. It feels too wasteful so I spend ages saving them all. I must have thousands of lettuce seeds at the moment as I let a whole bed bolt. Look forward to the next vid 🌻🌺🌸🌞

    It was nice to see you barefoot in Nature. The feeling of various textures of soil is not only wonderful but has a lot of health benefits.Our feet were meant /created to be bare and that's why there are a number of sensors/nerve endings under our feet which connects to our entire body from top to toe. When we walk on sand, gravel and tiny stones/ pebbles, our entire body gets a stimulation through these sensors.Apart from that it allows your body to connect with the earth and absorb free Electrons from the earth's surface.

    Has your elephant garlic flowered yet? It takes the best part of a year to bulb up and best to pick it once the flowers start to dry up.
    I've heard it can take over a year in some climates. I'm in Melbourne so it might be quicker up your way.
    Some nice looking veggies in your garden. Cheers!

    • @risslittleveggiepatch
      @risslittleveggiepatch  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      No it hasn’t flowered yet. I’ve been watching lots of videos about elephant garlic and a few did say that they need to grow scapes which I didn’t realise. They have only been in the ground for five months so maybe the dying off is lack of water. I’ll leave them until after they flower and keep watering them! Thanks for the info and confirmation about the flowering! Thanks for watching! 🙂🌸🥦🥬🫛🤣🌽🍅

    How did you get your mulberry tree to grow so well?
    I have planted mine in numerous places in the garden (sun,shade, wet, dry) and it is a cranky plant (for me). Feeding tips are welcomed because I drooled seriously watching you pick your mulberries. lol - Moreton Bay

    • @risslittleveggiepatch

      Thanks for watching Lynda! My mulberry tree is behind a north facing fence and it doesn’t get a lot of sun so partial shade may be the key? It has grown so well here. The dirt that I planted it in was pretty heavy. I added some compost when I planted it two years ago and I added some rooster booster at the end of Winter this year. I have pruned this tree about three times to keep it small and I think that has helped it fruit. ☺️🌸🥦🥒🥬
