Just got done with meps and am on my way to be a firefighter in the air force. Is the training process difficult? Not worried about it just want some insight on what happens in tech school
I've watch all the firefighter videos but I'm confused because Air Force F.D doesn't respond to calls only train train train, The City department are deep with their videos, live streaming every call, from fires to medical ect..
Depending on the base you’re located at, the volume of calls differ from base to base. But because we only respond to facilities on the installation, we don’t get many calls in general. That’s why I recommend if someone wants to be a firefighter, to go for civilian fire because they get way more action!
Are you guys busy with fire calls or no? I know City departments are, always running calls. Ive always wanted to be a firefighter, I even went as fas as getting a tattoo Maltese with irons and flames. I even bought a uniform, I get lots of attention. I get asked which department and I tell them I'm planning on joining

i live in tx and after there was like 5 wildfires with in a week the brush truck went a lot of places with the ENG even medicl calls

I went to the Airport Fire Rescue after my shift at the tower -- they took me out in one of the trucks. Those things are MASSIVE!
