Oh congratulations that’s amazing round the corner now 😁😁 hope the move goes well 👍 you have good taste 😂 we were going to go for amtico flooring in the hall and kitchen but we ended up going for pebble oak instead, one price level down from amtico it was like £1k less. I shall put a close up of it in the next video. 👍 the next few videos will probably be the fitted wardrobes and the start of the garden.

Oooh good question. Let’s see if I can remember 🤔 with ours we got a bottle of Prosecco some truffle chocolates from hotel chocolate, key rings, 2 white paint tubs and floor cleaner for the amtico flooring. I think that’s it. Hope this helps
New house is great, we’ve done loads since moving but a lot still to come. I put a community post up about the upcoming videos. Snag wise will be one of those videos 😂😂 but actually not bad. No major issues just a lot of little things like doors needing adjusting, cabinets refitting. The biggest snag has been the towel rail in the family bathroom needs moving as it’s too close to the toilet. But so far so good 👍👍
I know this sounds stupid but my home demo is tomorrow and I took a visit to the house today and noticed its still fenced off, garden, brick wall, and path still isn't completely built and finished... and looked through kitchen window and still is a mess and boxes everywhere. Does everything have to be 100% completed at the home demo?
Evening Peter. Not a bad question at all. Ours wasn’t completed at all at the demo day. Our demo was about 10 days before our house was “finished” and there was loads of things that wasn’t complete for example the flooring in the downstairs WC, the outlets in the kitchen and the kitchen counter wasn’t flush with the cabinets to name a few. But by the time we moved in it was mostly fixed and finished after a few snagging appointments. On the demo we were able to point out a few things to the site manager who sorted it before we moved in. Hopefully if you notice things on your demo he/she can take a list of things to fix before moving in 👍👍👍 (Sorry for the long reply) 😂
Love your video! We get the keys to our new Bellway home in 2 weeks so this has made me more excited! Can I ask is it ok to paint the walls straight away as I read you can’t but I really want to get some paint on those white walls straight away too! X

Also, did Bellway prevent you from putting wallpaper or painting the wall straight away because I read somewhere that for new builds home, the walls are wet we have to wait for a year or so to put any wallpaper or paint it again? Not a silly question at all some have had the same question. We were told the same by our site manager to wait approximately 12 months, but he then said once you move in it’s your house do what you want. 🤔 We haven’t had any problems at all yet. But we were thinking well Bellway painted to make it white so why would us painting be any different and so far so good. 😁👍 Probably worth mentioning we didn’t do any research just went straight ahead 😂😂 Ps sorry for the long reply - thank you the bed is awesome looks better than expected 😊
Did you guys have to extend your mortgage and did you have any problems doing so? we’re currently between exchange and completion waiting for our house to be built, but now worrying about mortgage expiring lol!
Hey Liam thank you for taking the time to comment, our mortgage was valid until November and we moved January so I did the same and started to worry towards end of October. Rang our mortgage advisor to enquire. Honestly it was super easy we were reassured they were handling it. We then got a letter and a phone call a week or so later that our lender was extending the mortgage for a further 6 months. It worked out well because it was also on a cheaper interest rate 👍😜 just pop a call through to your advisor. I’m sure you’ll be fine. Our advisor said it’s usually expected with new build purchases due to potential delays 👍 hope this helps anyway
Thanks for watching Louise 👍 it was a company called bedfactorydirect.co.uk found it randomly and it was cheaper than the majority of places we went to for the storage and size of the floor standing headboard. We did have some issues with the delivery driver not taking his shoes off (even after requesting upon purchase) and getting mud on our new carpet but other than that it was good and the bed looks great 👍
Hey buddy, sadly not. Like I said the next video about the house and garden will likely be after Christmas now. We’ve ordered some more garden supplies today. But had some issues, I broke my wrist about a week ago and we’ve prioritised Christmas over garden at the mo 👍

New house is great, we’ve done loads since moving but a lot still to come. I put a community post up about the upcoming videos. Snag wise will be one of those videos 😂😂 but actually not bad. No major issues just a lot of little things like doors needing adjusting, cabinets refitting. The biggest snag has been the towel rail in the family bathroom needs moving as it’s too close to the toilet. But so far so good 👍👍

I know this sounds stupid but my home demo is tomorrow and I took a visit to the house today and noticed its still fenced off, garden, brick wall, and path still isn't completely built and finished... and looked through kitchen window and still is a mess and boxes everywhere. Does everything have to be 100% completed at the home demo?
Evening Peter. Not a bad question at all. Ours wasn’t completed at all at the demo day. Our demo was about 10 days before our house was “finished” and there was loads of things that wasn’t complete for example the flooring in the downstairs WC, the outlets in the kitchen and the kitchen counter wasn’t flush with the cabinets to name a few. But by the time we moved in it was mostly fixed and finished after a few snagging appointments.
On the demo we were able to point out a few things to the site manager who sorted it before we moved in. Hopefully if you notice things on your demo he/she can take a list of things to fix before moving in 👍👍👍

Love your video! We get the keys to our new Bellway home in 2 weeks so this has made me more excited! Can I ask is it ok to paint the walls straight away as I read you can’t but I really want to get some paint on those white walls straight away too! X

We we're told not to for at least a year but now I know that you haven't had any problems I'm going to start ASAP. Let me start with Congratulations again for your new home. Great Video!! Really nice wallpaper, where did you get it from? Also, did Bellway prevent you from putting wallpaper or painting the wall straight away because I read somewhere that for new builds home, the walls are wet we have to wait for a year or so to put any wallpaper or paint it again? Is it so? (I am sorry if its a silly question, pretty new to this!)

Not a silly question at all some have had the same question. We were told the same by our site manager to wait approximately 12 months, but he then said once you move in it’s your house do what you want. 🤔 We haven’t had any problems at all yet. But we were thinking well Bellway painted to make it white so why would us painting be any different and so far so good. 😁👍 Probably worth mentioning we didn’t do any research just went straight ahead 😂😂

Did you guys have to extend your mortgage and did you have any problems doing so? we’re currently between exchange and completion waiting for our house to be built, but now worrying about mortgage expiring lol!
Hey Liam thank you for taking the time to comment, our mortgage was valid until November and we moved January so I did the same and started to worry towards end of October. Rang our mortgage advisor to enquire. Honestly it was super easy we were reassured they were handling it. We then got a letter and a phone call a week or so later that our lender was extending the mortgage for a further 6 months. It worked out well because it was also on a cheaper interest rate 👍😜 just pop a call through to your advisor. I’m sure you’ll be fine. Our advisor said it’s usually expected with new build purchases due to potential delays 👍 hope this helps anyway
Where did you get your bed frame from?
Thanks for watching Louise 👍 it was a company called bedfactorydirect.co.uk found it randomly and it was cheaper than the majority of places we went to for the storage and size of the floor standing headboard. We did have some issues with the delivery driver not taking his shoes off (even after requesting upon purchase) and getting mud on our new carpet but other than that it was good and the bed looks great 👍

Hey buddy, sadly not. Like I said the next video about the house and garden will likely be after Christmas now. We’ve ordered some more garden supplies today. But had some issues, I broke my wrist about a week ago and we’ve prioritised Christmas over garden at the mo 👍
