It’s always typical it rains on moving day as it rained when I moved from my rented property to my mortgage property. As I was back at work a few days after I moved so I had to unpack everything and get sorted ready to go back to work and then started decorating at a later date. I’ve been here since July 2021 and only 1 room is complete. It’s time and money that’s needed to get things done so it’ll be perfect in time. Can’t wait to see the progress you make in your house xxx

Beautiful house and the garden will be such a lovely area in the summer to sit in the sun and have some lovely family bbqs ❤️
I would say as long as you have the main bits in each room- sofa and TV up,bed, work desk and essential kitchen bits ready, you can slowly room by room or even box by box up pack bits and put them where you think they will fit best. Even after 5 years nearly in my own home I'm still swapping things into different areas or moving furniture around. And just enjoy the process together and not let anything stress or tired you out 🥰

We have been in our house almost a year and still haven't done very much 🙈. We are getting married this year so focussing on that first but it's so true that you need to live somewhere for a while to know exactly what you want. Better to just relax and enjoy the house for a while ☺️ congratulations home owners!

Congrats on the new place! It is lovely. Have fun making it your own. Being in the US, I can’t imagine not having closets in the bedrooms though. You definitely don’t want any moving advice from me. My daughter and I moved into our new house last September and we still have boxes in our garage that need to be unpacked or stored in our basement. Good thing it is a two car garage and I only have one car. 😜

Perhaps the best advice is not to worry on the length of your to-do-list. There will always be things to be completed or upgraded. We moved over a year ago and there is still a lot of things on our list and we are still adding wishes 😉

congratulations. this is a massive step in life together. I remember the first night with my wife and thinking ahhhh we did it. such a great feeling. then comes the constant, where does it all go? haha. enjoy making it your own
oh and ps. don't be disappointed or annoyed once you find something broken or not as great as discribed in the house. everyone I know including myself always discovers something the seller hid or didn't mention, like a broken kitchen draw, floor board or tile
