Thank you Thank you thank you Jay. This is my all time favorite car. Absolutely gorgeous! I think they built 142 with the 409. The 348 is enough though. I really enjoy your channel. God bless 😊
Superb stunning gourgeus beautiful chevy from the batcave 🦇 thanks Jay grams president of volo auto museum and russel for perfect photografy from tom your friend now and always say hello to All at volo cars and happy easter 😊😊
When I was about maybe 8 years old my across the street neighbor, a senior in high school had a gorgeous 61 Impala with the bubble top. He had the coolest hair, I thought he was the coolest guy in the world. He’d be out in the driveway every weekend washing and waxing it.
02:54 Ah yes... That famous GM door rattle when the door is closed. Even when the door closed all the way (on the second attempt). the rattle was still there. 😅🤣😂
Most clocks on these cars dont work and arent fixed by the restoration folks since it uses up the battery when the car isnt even on. But you could easily try to rebuild the radio with modern guts in it while still keeping the original face of the radio
The drivers window rattle will be fixed. Each car gets inspected and serviced when it arrives. It gets a 2nd inspection before it leaves. A window rattle is typical on an old car but I agree, this car is sooo nice we will take care of the rattle.
Perhaps not from the factory, but was done at the dealership, not some custom shop 10 years ago. If you want to spend half a million dollars to get the “factory” version, more power to you.

Had this in 4 dr hardtop with the 348 ci maroon
Every car you demo just shines and sparkles and the colours pop. No doubt those vivid white studio lights help the cause.
A beautiful 61 Impala, my favorite from the 60's.
Mine, too! Bubble Top - as a kid I wanted one sooo bad!!!
Yo tengo el 4 puertas, y lo uso todos los días, lleva conmigo 32 años
Too nice. I would be terrified to drive that.
I'd be afraid to park it at the grocery store.
True! I want one in gray primer with a few scratches and some surface rust…
@@AlexYounger That would be preferable.
BEAUTIFUL 61

As close to perfect as you gonna get a 61’ this is way more then just clean it’s the details that matter the most 💯

Gorgeous ‘61 Impala ‼️‼️
What a beautiful car. More suitable for the 348. The 409 dual-four was awesome for its time as well.
The body lines are much better than they were from the factory too!
I owned this car in 1968
Such a beauuuutiful Car!💕

PS could be Christines cousin, thanks, Mike and Nico for testdriving and photografy 🤟 😊 😊 😊
Michael, you can’t get that close to your sweetheart with that 4 speed in the way. 😊
GORGEOUS! Why not make it flawless with the bumper done?!
02:54 Ah yes... That famous GM door rattle when the door is closed. Even when the door closed all the way (on the second attempt). the rattle was still there. 😅🤣😂
And that famous sqeek when you open the door
"Super Sweet" car and presentation 👀 🏁 💪#chevy #ss #volocar
Nice '57. Michael should slow down a bit when he drives by the barn, its just a blurr. Awesome test drive!
Very nice car.
Sorry folks. Chevrolet didn't start the Super Sport badge until the 1962 model. This is just a '61 Chevrolet Impala. That SS is just an add-on.
Sorry, they made 453 Super Sports in 1961.
One of this day I`m going to get me one of those beauties.
Fabulous car 🚗
Bubble Top Love!!!
Thanks very much! ❤️
My Dad had one. It had the first year 409 engine. It got stolen and never recovered.
It's in Russia. 😁
Who knows?
Impressive! Does the clock and radio work? Details are everything.
Not important
I agree, does the horn work too?

Jay - Beautiful car, but should of added Vintage Air.
I like the car alot
THE YEAR SUPER SPORT CAME OUT 1961😊❤
First year for the Super Sport
One HP per cubic inch is excellent for an early 60s vintage car.
Nice car 🚗 🚘
Exactly my first car HS graduation present in 1964. My fsther paid $1400 for it from the original owner. Only difference mine was a 380 HP 409!
great video that is a really nice car
I Luv-it!... 👍💜⭐⭐⭐⭐
Just curious Jay, what was the original cost on that bill of sale? I’m guessing around $3200 considering all of the options.
when he closed the drivers door it didnt sound healthy as i mean for 125 grand and the door rattles when he closes it ???
All impalas do that..
It would be like living in a bubble 🫧.
Imagine that with a 409 and Hurst shifter.
Wonder why they didn’t keep with the rectangle steering wheel center. I thought the 61 steering wheel was the best of the 60’s.
Roman Red !!!
🏆🍀👀✌️
You are selling this as a true SS?
Bitchin Impala!!!!
Seat Belts?
Yes, in the front but not the back.
Do you really think that car has 350 hp? I kind of doubt it.
I have a 61.Makes me wanna puke when it's called a bubbletop
All cars way over priced. On website
Cars that are overpriced won’t sell. Volo sells a lot of cars! Must not be too overpriced for buyers who ant the best!
Watch it was so it's probably way overpriced so you keep it
its beautiful ,but sorry not a true SS at the end of the day its a clone, therefore not concorse quality, just my opion
Perhaps not from the factory, but was done at the dealership, not some custom shop 10 years ago. If you want to spend half a million dollars to get the “factory” version, more power to you.
i agree with you it's beautiful, and thank you for your knowledge.
Your opinion and 50 cents won't get you a cup of coffee
@@daveklein2826You just love to throw jabs at people don’t ya?
It’s still a ss when dealer add on It has the big motor already all they done was put the accessories on
$100,000
I accept your offer
All those car shows on t v charge more than a hundred thousand dollars to restore a car
Bitchen rides just built a car for a guy and it just won the Ridler award. $2.5 million was the bill on that one!
@@jaygrams5046 WOW, I wondered what that cost.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😂😅.
Never did care for the 1961 model.
