- Today we install an Amazon $60 Carplay Radio on my Jeep WJ. I did purchase this around August September, and the radio is now about $70 with the coupon discount on Amazon. The radio does lag a bit but other than that the radio has been solid. I mostly use Carplay which works well. If you try to scroll through the apps and scroll through the carplay it does lag. So do you think its worth the price?

The Radio is now about $70 on Amazon with their Coupon. Make sure to click the coupon to get the Discount.
I purchased it in August so I was able to get it $60.
The audio quality was actually good to me. Do you think this radio is worth it?

Good content. I may have to upgrade to Car Play. My sons give me a bad time about the factory CD with cassette in my 99WJ. Hey, this is a guy who started with AM radio then upgraded with FM converter along with an 8 track under dash player in the 60's. Advanced to AM/FM cassette and finally CD. So going to Car Play is quite a big step !
Looking forward to what your channel brings in 2024 .
Super sharp for $60!
I like the usb port in the center console. I have a 8 gang swich rocker switch with 2 usb ports where the ashtray used to be or I'd totally jump all over that idea! Great option on a budget! Love your content man keep it up!
It plays music through CarPlay for $60 which is not bad. But I’d say if you have a bigger budget definitely get something better. Yea I really liked how that came out tbh. All the new cars have them around that area so I copied that haha
That’s funny, perfect timing. I just picked one up for my hero off of Amazon and it got delivered today. Thank you for uploading!
The same radio?😂
@@NajarOffroadno I went with a double din but was only $55
I just like to wish the Najar family a Merry Xmas and a happy new year 😀👍🎄🎁always enjoy the videos so thank you From Rob.
Thank you Rob! I hope you enjoy the Holidays brotha🤟
Looks good for that cheap
I turned one of the cigarette lighter ports into a USB port. Bought a 2 pack on Amazon.
No just I had the same thought today
Najar,
Are you still in Florida? I live in Sanford. I have been rebuilding my 04WJ for three years now. Sometime in the near future I will do some bodywork.
Great videos thanks
What did you plug the ground into? The only wire i have that don’t have on the factory harness And I’m not finding anything online.
Also was the ant for the amp?
What car do you have?
Did you have any issues with it? I just bought the first radio you recommended for my Jeep and it's been nothing but problems. I'm ripping it out tomorrow and putting the stock head unit back in
Which radio was this? I run Atoto on my build and it’s been good to me my favorite brand on Amazon for radios tbh. This one is a budget one I paid $60 back in august and it does lag but the CarPlay works which is what mattered to me. If your budget is over $100 you can definitely get something better
@@NajarOffroadI bought the one you recommended using your link. It wasn't the Atoto, it was the single DIN touch screen with Android Auto
Quick question so I own 2000 grand Cherokee and I’ve had problems with my radio wiring, the red wire(ignition) and yellow wire(12v) aren’t getting power at all, I’ve checked the fuses there all good, I was planning to disconnect the battery tomorrow to see if that will help but if you maybe know what it is, it would be greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas :)
I’m not sure you would have to trace the wires. Have you had any blown fuses before from a short?
@@NajarOffroadI have actually yea, last I checked i probably had to replace like 10 of them because the jeep was just sitting around for 5 years but I also own subwoofers and that could have blown something due to faulty wiring which was on my part, I dont have any upgrades like a better alternator or better battery cables so until I get that I wont use the subs anymore. I will try to trace them then, that helps out alot thank you :)
Instalando ese radio...se pueden conectar al.volante..para subir volumen o cambio de musica desde el volante??????
Did your jeep have the steering wheel controls?
I did connect the steering wheel controls. I have a video on how to do it with the Amazon radios that have the steering wheel controls option
Lol i just got a 1000 dollar jeep too i may have to pick one of those up.
Watch to the end! Depending on your budget you can probably find something better. This one did the Job but it does Lag
@@NajarOffroad yeah i did ill prpbably get the 90 dollar one instead
Need radio ideas for my 99 grand Cherokee 4.0 inline 6
I had a Carplay radio for about 1 day. I could not stand the fact that you HAVE to have your phone connected to do anything.
Sounds radio specific, I installed this radio shown and it connects wireless
I mean that there were no native apps on the stereo, so you had to have a phone connected. @@poop2138
