Man this is just in time. I'm replacing my speakers soon and this helps a ton! Honestly your whole channel is right on time for me, I have an 02 as well that I'm putting a bunch of love into and your channel is saving my life man. Much love!
I went with the Kicker 77Kick42 up front and the 77Kick10 for the rear. They are "Plug and Play" compatible and the sound quality is pretty good. I ended up buying an amp afterwards added all new speaker wire. But these speakers were a good first step since they used the Mopar plug and the 3 bolts on the 6.5's. Keep up the good work man! See you on the trails... P.S. Don't forget about the tweeters up in the dash... I replaced them first! They are NOTORIOUS for blowing out!
Don't sweat the coaxial vs component speakers, your dash tweeters are likely blown anyway. Also, maybe its time to invest in a soldering iron, no need for butt connectors, and no risk of pinching your hand :)
I cut out the speaker part of the tweeters and put some mid range Kenwood. Put nice fosgate door speakers.... got thin sheet metal and hammered it into were the speaker sat in then took the new speakers and cut them into the sheet of metal... hahahaha but love the videos brutha.... keep jeepin
Alright as a guy who has damn near 600 dollars or more in speakers alone, the front speakers you put in are coaxial, coaxial is when the tweeter and the woofer is all one, components are a lot lot better and usually higher quality, they come separate with the tweeter and the woofer being two pieces
I’m replacing my old infinity speakers in my WJ limited gold edition with the pioneer TS 800M speakers I got at Walmart and the GM E360X4 AMP. Do you have any tips.
So those speakers there are 3 way coaxial speakers, meaning there are three different methods of playing frequencies, if you're not a complete audiophile they are a decent upgrade over stock, however you can definitely get better. There is a lot to take in to consideration when buying speakers, I won't go into full detail unless you wanted, but I'm glad you're ditching the stock Chrysler ones, they stink! Good vid dude keep 'em coming!
@@NajarOffroad awesome as they should! I actually just ordered a set of Skar Audio coaxial speakers all the way around for my WJ, I have the original factory Infinity Gold sound system, btw I liked how you used the factory connecter. I've never seen that before...
Haha very creative right😂 I did that with the tweeters because I didn’t want to cut into the harness and I didn’t know the adapters were sold and it has worked for like 2 years now so I know this method words for the long run! I’ll show the tweeter set up when I do the rear speakers
Hey bro I have a 2000 Grand Cherokee jeep but I have no clue what the rear speakers take because they are screwed in by 3 screws and all I find is speakers that are screwed in by 4 screws
It will work but not how they are supposed to. I guess you could bypass the stock amp and put in your own so you can Hook them up correctly. I’m not to good at audio stuff since I haven’t messed with it much
I put jbl tweets in the dash. put kicker in all the doors, and run two 12s in the back.. once you put a a system in there is no going back to screamer cars. It's such a game changer even our work van has a system in it lol🤣
I have been watching all your videos the past few days and subscribed because I just picked up a wj this is my second jeep first was a zj but I didn't build it but this one I am building it came with a 2 inch lift on it and bigger tires I'm planning on upgrading to a 4 inch lift soon hopefully
I haven't read but all you really got to do is basically put the ones you just put in the front door into the back since that's what they're for and then get the right component speakers for the front. And just like you I do like that little trick I wish I would have seen this video before I do my speakers I went the old school and just cut wires and resoldered everything. I also replaced the ones on the dashboard for the tweeters and huge sound and difference it almost sounds like you have a subwoofer. But I do have the jeep that came with the boosted amplifier under the back seat
Since I’ve uploaded the video I like the speakers especially for the price I can’t complain. But also I didn’t get the correct speakers I got coaxial supposed to be component
Can you do an update on that ATOTO headunit? I know you’ve had it for a while now. I’m looking into purchasing one. But want to make sure it doesn’t have any flaws. Also does it have RCA inputs for Front/rear/ and sub outputs?
Yes these speakers will sound good with the stock amp. They are made as an upgrade to factory speakers unless u have the Infinity speaker system which is on another level by themselves. A really good speaker to get for sound quality is KIcker CS series. they raise the voice quality way up and way more clear plus they have a little more mid to lower bass.

I am will be doing this soon to my 02. I just replaced my engine. Next, i am sound deadening my cab and replacing all speakers.

Yea I relaxed them a long time ago with some way better ones
I got the same rear speakers and i got adapters for the fronts and tweeters in dash
When you order speakers from crutchfield they give you adapters to connect the new speakers to the factory harness. All plug and play.
Good to know 💪 I want to upgrade all of them! Did this as a temp solution

Haha I replaced those a while back! So they aren’t yet😂 and also yes don’t pinch your hand haha

I used the adapters for 4 bucks or so on my 02. Used the same speakers
Yea I didn’t want to wait for shipping 😂 but I did link them in the description for people
Would these speakers work for my Tacoma?
What model is your Jeep Grand Cherokee? I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4x4. Does it have 6x9 speakers?

Yes I realized that as I was installing them😂 don’t worry later this year we will do it right!
YES FINALLY BEEN WAITING ON THIS VID FORRREVERRR
Kicker speakers are a lot better but for the price Pioneer are good. FYI u don't need component speakers in the front.
Yes sir. These were the cheapest speakers i found at Best Buy so we just threw them in since the old ones were busted
No video’s on the rear door speakers?

Yea I figured that after like 5 mins after putting them in that’s when I found out they take component speakers but for $60 they sound good 😂

Do the tweeter speakers even make a difference??
Nope haha I wish I knew before I purchased them
