I'm very impressed with that mate, I'm just going that way of the 4g lte due to abysmally slow internet .... Thanks Sky for all the bills and bad service
If your 4g router doesn't have CA... Get a 4G+ capable router if your cell provider do Carrier Aggregation. You might get 50 to 60Mbps on a good day. Also, try to look into Parabolic 4G antennas... Those have insane range. 😅😳

If possible, also check which CAs are supported. For example, in Europe B8+20 can make much sense (basically get double speeds) but is quite rare to find (on the hardware side, X55 based routers support it but no low-band 5G CA). And obviously n71 for the US or B32 for Europe.
Howdy and thanks for the video my friend! I have an omni directional mimo antenna for my mofi 4500 which does okay but I am trying to get better speeds out of it and considering the style antennas you have. Cheers from Arizona!
Hi, do you think such antennas perform better than "triangle-shaped in plastic case" LTE antennas? I think inside they have the same metal elements. Do you know which dB gain those have? I see you also mounted them with 45 degree angles - did you also try + polarization or only X?
@@AshGreen359 it should work just fine actually, a single antenna should be as effective as 2 due to cellular networks being radiowaves, thus they are transverse, only way 2 could improve the signal is by having some sort of constructive interference. But it really depends on your setup and location and kit. I would just do a bit of trial and error as you never know.
@@FieldtoFarm_UK myself and my isp had issues with the same modem you are using. Changing it to ext antenna only fixed the issue. It would prioritise the internal first if it could get a signal.

If you are recieving broadband data then the wi fi that the router then produces and transmitts can be linked to with your cell phone using Wi Fi. Then you can look up the index on your phone and activate Wi Fi calling and that means you can then make phone calls to and from your celphone. From in your house.
Fuck... I was getting mad because where I want to live I can get only 35 Mbps 4G on the phone, and came looking for greater speeds, looks like I am blessed with my current speed.
My 4g on the phone here is non existing, we are 11 miles or so from the tower. Any external aerial on a router should get you better speed that ur phone if you already get good ones. We have changed providers also that doubled our speed 👌

If you happen to get a good antenna or live in such a great position that the LOS to one site isn‘t possible, this still may work. For example, I have a 5G tower here which is obstructed by a hill in a really bad way and holding my phone in the air gives me 700 instead of 200 Mbps.
Well done, mate, you've done your homework re mimo etc. Where did you buy them from? I'm also researching mobile broadband as coincidence would have it. My Poynting omni also didn't deliver..
@@FieldtoFarm_UK hey so the Huawei router is what you use and I'll look it up but any idea what options are out there ....? Thanks for getting back to me ... inspirational vidz
Its a log periodic not a yagi… yagi is for single frequency whereas Log periodic are made for a range of frequencies.. LP gain is lower but more versatile if you don’t know which band your supplier is using.
Iv got 15 vids banked ready to upload just waiting on something then they will be rolling out lol. Got big plans for the channel patience is a virtue 😂
@shaundocherty96 Well, if I'm not mistaken his Huawei modem can reach a throughput speed that can reach 300mb at max (and for lower end ones, the reference is 150mb). So until there is a provider than offer more than that, it doesn't seem very wise to change his device.

Upgraded to ee sim and we get 30mb download now sometimes with an average of 20mb well worth it over the copper lines👌
I bought a few of these to experiment with but life got in the way . Thank you for your video

I'm expecting mine to come in the mail tomorrow
Are you supposed to point both antennas at the same tower? I thought to point them at the two closest
I'm pretty sure they wont work if u dont point them at the same tower

U r completely wrong the 2 r required or the signal speed will be 100th of speed 4g relies on mimo, multi in multi out signals
What is the make / model / price of the new antenna?
Just a generic directional 4g antenna
How did you join the two cables into one? Did you use t-shaped adapter for the cable?
You don’t. This is a MIMO setup. The Huawei router he us using has two antenna inputs on the back.
Make sure you change the settings on the modem to ext antenna only. Don’t use auto.

How much monthly does it cost, is it cheaper than £26 pm?
Slowly working on something similar myself, farm in semi regional Queensland
Works well if u can get good line of site to the tower we are 7 miles or so from the tower

It must be 2 anteinna for working well?
Yes, unless it‘s 3G. 4G and 5G require two antennas for best performance.
Well done
Should have just asked the guy to move the barn over a bit. :)
Is that antenna just for wifi or does it boost your cell phone as well ?
Its just for the 4g signal from the tower to your router 👌

Ebay and about 6ms
