I think Josh's renditions of any Paul SImon/Simon & Garfunkel songs are my favorite kind of content he puts out. I always listen to each one of them on repeat for days ! I Love the collabs between you and Ben!
Damn Ben Cooley. That was a crazy hard vocal performance. have no clue how you flawlessly hit notes so seemingly divergent from what Josh was playing Reminds me a bit of Photographs which i tried to do once and failed miserably. So impressed..
That was incredible. This particular melody is one of the hardest to sing well, and Ben nailed it. The picking brings a new life to it as well, and the harmonies were just the chocolate-covered twinkie on top of this big fat musical dessert sundae of a song. Thank you both.
The road noise was an artistic addition to the audio. I know this song very well, but can't remember why. I wouldn't forget if I had owned that album, so it must be one that my sister had. It's a great song.
What an awesome video & performance. Ben’s voice is perfect & Josh’s guitar work & harmonies are exceptional, but the video work steals the show for me! Great video work, Kelly! You have become quite the creative videographer. Love this!
What a coincidence! I was thinking about learning this song for my channel! I am in my last year of university in the faculty of architecture and Frank Lloyd Wright is one of my favorite architects! Wonderful cover as always Josh !! :)
So Artie wanted to be an architect... I live in Texas now but the song and scenery make me homesick for New York City........ Josh, Ben, Carson, Taylor and Reina... the most talented musicians on TH-cam today. Let me know when you plan to come to Texas.... I really want to see you live and alive............ Stay safe all you out there in TH-cam land ..... RP
I just noticed how Ben is making the gestures with his right hand in a way very similar to Artie. "So long, already!" ... I love that on the studio recording near the end.
Pretty sure Ben Cooley was on the National Tour of The Simon and Garfunkel Story (a musical) playing the role of, yup you guessed it, Art Garfunkel. I can see why. What a great cover.
This was so beautiful. And you chose a wonderful setting for a song about FLW, with the skyline in the background. You could have stood outside the Guggenheim, but I think this was a better choice.
Beautiful! Such a wonderful performance of a wonderful melody. It is so good to see a younger generation embracing the music of a generation passed. Play on, brothers.
Literally every cover you do is perfect. The ambient bustle of city life and the modern NYC skyline give a beautifully poetic backdrop to this classic.
Damn I love the filmography and this cover is beautifully done! Also love all the "yeah"s at the end - I know the feeling of finishing a take and coming out of the spell and having no idea what to say 😅
So long, Frank Lloyd Wright I can't believe your song is gone so soon I barely learned the tune So soon, so soon I'll remember Frank Lloyd Wright All of the nights we'd harmonize 'til dawn I never laughed so long So long, so long Architects may come, and architects may go And never change your point of view When I run dry I'll stop awhile and think of you Architects may come and architects may go And never change your point of view So long, Frank Lloyd Wright All of the nights we'd harmonize 'til dawn I never laughed so long So long, so long So long, so long So long, so long So long (So long already, Artie!) So long
I don’t know why I even bother waiting for any mess ups in your videos (only cause I know how hard it is to nail a playing/singing take all the way through) these guys are the real deal
to me this is like a door to another dimension in which i'm not living in an ugly Germany city but NYC and stumble upon two wonderful street musicians. Beautiful as always
@@marksimpson2321 You will find that the original version doesn’t have these awful distractive noises. They actually spoilt their very good interpretation of this song. I saw Simon and Garfunkle in London’s Hyde Park some years ago and they had the pa done so well so we DID’NT hear the background noise and traffic . To me they spoilt a great song and it needn’t have been!
I disagree, I enjoyed the background ambience, in part because it added to the authenticity of their symbolic setting, It didn’t matter that it wasn’t in the original for me
Love is all over this performance and video. It oozes from the backdrop, that incredibly fragile but heartfelt singing ... and as usual, Josh's perfect guitar playing from his arrangement. Thank you.
I have S&G greatest hits album but I did not know this song. This was my first time hearing it...and it was beautiful. I started tearing up. I have seen many of Josh’s videos/performances alone and with others but this is the first time I’ve heard this person sing. He is good. Great vocal control and harmonies. Kind of a cross between Simon and Garfunkel themselves. I am always amazed at how talented people can be. Thank you for the present 🎁. And greetings from Québec 😁
I love seeing all the recurring characters in the Josh Turner cinematic universe! Sometimes someone won't be seen for years and suddenly show up again...
Please consider supporting Josh through Patron. The link is in the description. He has invested so much with his friends to bring us some wonderful music, especially during the pandemic, that I for one am honored to give back.
The "Garfunkel" is incredible, but then "Simon" came in sounding SO MUCH like the actual Paul Simon, it's uncanny. This is as close to perfection as it gets when it comes to imitating Simon and Garfunkel musically, and you happen to kind of physically resemble them. Awesome stuff, hope there's more collaborations between you two, I really love this.
I love Ben brought his own approach to the lead vocal and Josh brought his own approach to the accompaniment, yet, the song still sounds so pure and true.
Total retro look, great sound on a song not easy to sing. Ben looks, stands and even touches his chin like Art Garfunkel. Early 70s vibe with even the ambient sounds going on. Another great video as I run through the list of many of Josh Turner Guitar.
You said I'm gonna look for some 😎🌁aesthetic🌁😎 to go along with my friend with an amazing voice and who casually looks a bit like Art and with this cool arrangement
Josh Turner & friend(s) - the greatest musician, videographer, producer & entertainer the world doesn’t know. I wasn’t going to watch this because I wasn’t a S&G fan per se & I never heard this song. When someone can make you enjoy & like a song you really had no interest in - that says a lot about the musicianship & quality of the production. Great job. And it didn’t hurt that the singer looked a bit like Art Garfunkel and sounded just as good if not better. Josh Turner creates the best musical entertainment (along with some great thematic video) on the planet.
This is the most Simon & Garfunkel -looking thing ever created by someone neither Simon nor Garfunkel. So cool.
Best comment of the section.
This isn't just Garfunkel. This is Art!
That was both amazing and terrible
Nice...
I see what you did there!
Garfuckel
soooo pretty, love u my king of jokes
i don’t know who’s hair i like more....Ben, Josh or the mic
Either way the sunglasses steal the show.
Hilarious. Ben’s hair is a special cool!
Best comment 👌
That mic's hair is really Don King's.
Alongside the great music arrangement, the framing and coloring of this shot is just wonderful. Beautiful video Josh!
Exactly what I was going to say. The aqua tone and sunshine adds a nice dimension to a well done performance.
Yes. And the colour of their clothes matches too.
This is so 1973 !
@@tinkersailorhead4360 need the newsboy cap
we are waiting for the collab, chase.
the construction noises in the background are so fitting for this song
I like the night in the woods pfp.
The melody: gorgeous
The harmony: magical
The picking: flawless
The vibes: immaculate
I always appreciate how Josh can step aside and let someone else have the spotlight. He's an immense talent and a good person.
The look on Josh's face at 2:47 as the car zooms by is everything lol like "dang this has to be the take now"
I think Josh's renditions of any Paul SImon/Simon & Garfunkel songs are my favorite kind of content he puts out. I always listen to each one of them on repeat for days ! I Love the collabs between you and Ben!
agreed !
Me too 100%!
Damn, even in the 90s these guys could play
Great sing and beautiful performance!!
I know right, it really does look like a 90's video.
two immortal vampires and carson
Damn Ben Cooley. That was a crazy hard vocal performance. have no clue how you flawlessly hit notes so seemingly divergent from what Josh was playing Reminds me a bit of Photographs which i tried to do once and failed miserably. So impressed..

Excuse me while I go cry in a corner, that was beautiful
Love the VHS look. Takes me back to the late 80’s
The road noise was an artistic addition to the audio. I know this song very well, but can't remember why. I wouldn't forget if I had owned that album, so it must be one that my sister had. It's a great song.
Good to see Ferris Bueller and Napoleon Dynamite together on this
Everything about this is incredible! Scenery, Voice, Guitar, Sunglasses.
love the simon and garfunkel stuff so much
Ben has the Garfunkel hair!
Indeed haha
He was in the Simon and Garfunkel show.
And the Paul Simon voice!
It looks like Garfunkel when you first get the Chia Pet but before the seeds get enough sunlet to really thrive
Idk why but this makes me nostalgic for a time I wasn’t even alive.
Beautifully said, and likewise. Aurora's Runaway elicits beautifully painful nostalgia, while this is a quiet comforting ache.
Paul goes Bossa Nova.
Ben just nails it.
Not March 2021, March 1970!!! 😀 you making me 50 Years younger!!! Thank you Josh and Friend!! Good wishes from Berlin. Rainer
Same for me and from me from Friesland Holland
This and bury a friend are two faves
Love this perfect performance in "unperfect surroundings"
My wife's family is from Oak Park, Illinois. When we visited this song stayed in my head. Turn a corner, another FLW house.
And the Unity Temple. Photos don't do them justice.
@@mikegalvin9801 They’re breathtaking.
My best friend died last year, and this song makes me cry nearly every time I hear it, especially this version. Just a beautiful arrangement.
this is exactly my experience too , music is so powerful. bittersweet.
you guys are so wonderful, especially Art.
One of my favourite S&G songs, suuuper underrated
The greatest works of art
(no pun intended)
are always the most underrated.
Just gorgeous. How perfect was that?! And what great timing for the car to start motoring away during the end 'So Long's 2:47 haha. Well done.

Very underrated song!
this song, the location, the vintage vhs edit and the zoom out is making me cry
Bravo gentleman, superb cover 👍🇬🇧👍
this is so freaking awesome....what a performance. almost made me cry for no reason other than its beauty

Almost Bossa Nova! Brilliant version. I guess it's really hard to sing but Ben does amazingly!
The slow zoom out on this video is cool. Nice touch.
I just noticed how Ben is making the gestures with his right hand in a way very similar to Artie. "So long, already!" ... I love that on the studio recording near the end.

Beautiful! Such a wonderful performance of a wonderful melody. It is so good to see a younger generation embracing the music of a generation passed. Play on, brothers.
Well said Buc! I agree
Literally every cover you do is perfect. The ambient bustle of city life and the modern NYC skyline give a beautifully poetic backdrop to this classic.
I knew this was going to be brilliant, but damn it was better than I even expected.
Never clicked a video so fast, yet so gently...
Damn I love the filmography and this cover is beautifully done! Also love all the "yeah"s at the end - I know the feeling of finishing a take and coming out of the spell and having no idea what to say 😅
What a great song and a very good execution. Josh's guitar playing is flawless and Ben is quite a singer. The video is beyond cool. Thanks!
Great playing by Josh.

I used to work in one of those buildings... I'm so happy I don't any longer but man, do I ever miss New York.
Oh my goodness, a great song about Art leaving the group and Josh blows me away with his guitar playing.
just heard the entire album yesterday and now there's a Josh Turner cover! so nice.
Always a pleasure treasure. Short-sleeve weather in NYC in early March - doesn't get any better. Enjoy. 🌻
So long, Frank Lloyd Wright
I can't believe your song is gone so soon
I barely learned the tune
So soon, so soon
I'll remember Frank Lloyd Wright
All of the nights we'd harmonize 'til dawn
I never laughed so long
So long, so long
Architects may come, and architects may go
And never change your point of view
When I run dry
I'll stop awhile and think of you
Architects may come and architects may go

All of the nights we'd harmonize 'til dawn
I never laughed so long
So long, so long

Wonderful cover just spoilt by the sound of wind and traffic. Do it again guys inside !!
I don't agree! Also are they doing that dwliberately because of the subject matter?

This is nothing short of amazing - you took a Simon and Garfunkel tune, and made it your own (again).
That makes my personal top 10 songs list about architects..easy
I wonder should Simon or Garfunkel ever watch this? What would the feel? Would they perhaps... be just a bit jealous?
Fantastic rendition, guys!
Why can't I find a Ben Cooley channel on TH-cam ? Absolutely mesmerized by your voice Ben.
Brilliant in everyway. Had a rough day today. Thanks for cheering me up guys.
Love is all over this performance and video. It oozes from the backdrop, that incredibly fragile but heartfelt singing ... and as usual, Josh's perfect guitar playing from his arrangement. Thank you.
Thank you for reminding me about this fine song and the great memories that accompany it.
Incredible cover!!!

*Magical harmony and vibes, both amazing and great singing Ben/ Art/
Haha love that 90s vibe. Is it possible that even that head-bob mid song was a throwback move?

Beautiful simplicity. Cool bossa nova with Manhattan skyline.
