This is definitely the way to go for the best bang for your $$, The spacers do make a different. I have two 2003 C32's one with this mod and the other with needwings air intake which gives you more CFM and much louder SC whine. couple this mod with a 64mm SC pully and ECU tune for a lot more HP and fun. My C32 with need wings has 64mm SC pully, Killer Chiller, Johnson SC pump, Separated SC coolant system and a eurocharged stage 1 tune which does not reflect the VRP short header and Killer chiller system install as I have the vehicle in the body shop being painted and having the rear door 1/4 windows replaced because the rubber has gone all gummy. Once back out of shop I will have the stage 2 tune to reflect my most recent added mods.
@@yungtuckgetbusy No plan on taking Onyx's to a dyno as I am working with OE Tuning on the tune I have with all the mods I have on the vehicle. I do need to teg the SC coolant tank in the trunk, I have a Johnson pump and trunk tank just not able to work on the vehicle because I broke my back last Feb and not able to bend for long over the vehicle to work on it. May have to have a Indy run the install it. My project C32 also needs secondary cats now and windshield, interior repairing so have a lot going on. Thinking of posting videos on the restoration and mods we can do on the C32. Just got to get to a better place with my health 1st.
I wouldn’t fuck around with the airbox man I did it, and it may not of been the reason, but I blew my engine up, not once, but twice I went back to the old cardboard filters and I haven’t blown engine since.
@chowderhead I think the 55 would be too big unfortunately, perhaps with a silicone adapter or such but really for full benefit I would recommend a complete swap. Hope that helps.
Good question, I think it would fit but not sure if it would flow better than stock on that car. I assume the C32 has smaller tubes because the supercharger is in the way so the stock 55 may flow much better.
@@BaldManMotors hey bro whats with the blinking explanation mark when you accelerate, happens on mine too just wondering if it’s normal and what’s the reason
@@GoldBloodedGSW49 It means its spinning the wheels and it blinks to let you know traction control is temporarily cutting power. Mine was loosing traction because it was raining that day.
ahhh shit, my c32 came with crappy not so cold "cold ram intake" that was lingering back in the engine bay, so I just bought a used c32 intake air boxes, until I realized how restrictive. Do you know that 3/4 of the filter never get used!? the box design is awful there is very little air flow as it is too shallow, not even considering the hole opening. I should've watched this a week ago and realized the difference I would've bought a 55 intake system... facepalm like never!

Could you make a video talking about what’s done to the car ? Trying to get an idea of how to get some power out of my c32
How much louder was the supercharger whine? I am looking to get more supercharger noise out of mine.
It is noticeably a little louder, I think the more open CAI styles or smaller pulley would be much louder though.
How did you go the intake spacers
Hey I have 2002 e55 amg thinking about getting a clk amg airbox to swap what u think! Will help more.air in there
Maybe a few ponies added, haven't tried it yet, felt it a bit better getting K&N air filters but that's a butt dyno on my E55.
Can I change y pipe only without 55 air boxes? Will it fit?

anything for sale?
Will this work on a c55 amg?

Ahh darn, I wish I had uploaded sooner. Sounds like you fixed the biggest issue though and got rid of hot air intake 😃
Do you still have this?
No I do not, traded for C55.
I have sl55 induction kit for sale in uk if anyones interested. Comes with y pipe air boxes pipercross filters and the front grill pipes
Plus 20HP!?
Lol could be, I have seen dyno sheets from 9 whp to some say 21 bhp so your guess is as good as mine 😃
@@BaldManMotors lovely camera works
Thanks, I appreciate it!
K&N provide almost no protection from dust... Lookup project farm. He was testing. Few extra hp not worth wasting your engine.
