I have three Junk Journal creators that I eagerly await new content from - You, Barbara (49dragonflies), and Pam at the Paper Outpost. All three of you have your own unique styles and ways of making these, yet you are also constantly challenging yourselves to expand your knowledge.
Louise... this series has been so amazing. It really is a Masterclass! (In my not-so-humble opinion, akin to a graduate student's final project (two variations using similar products and techniques) that also involved having to teach others how to get similar results.
Add in the fact that you are now one of Tim's makers??? 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I know this is a dream come true for you, and very, VERY deserved. I look forward to more amazing content from you. (Hoping you have a similar type of intense series next year? Hehe. Maybe not, but really... this was so eye-opening and informative!)
And... your english is better than some native speakers. The few times you get the word wrong (like crumble versus crumple), its usually more of a confusion of two very similar sounding words.
It's very hard to create a video where you are actively making something, planning out your steps, etc, AND trying to talk and explain at the same time. Add in the fact that it's not even in your native language, where words that may not be used often (cumble/crumple) have to be translated in your head... it's a LOT. I, for one, am always very impressed by ALL of your skills. 😊

I love you Luise! The crumple vs crumble..we understood you😉 crumple is prob what you were looking for. But when you crumble something like bread or cookies it make a rough texture??? Right?so it works. Most Americans are not very Succinct (exact)in their speech & we insert alternatives word when our brain can't come up with the right one quite a bit. So you fit right in❤❤ I say this never to correct you because I would be heart broken if you gave up your English versions! Ah! I would die😢. But just for information. American to Austrian. I couldn't begin to speak Austrian? Or is it German? Dont know. The other word that fit there was wrinkles.

I have followed you several years and have eagerly joined this series to make a clean and a grungy journal. In the US near my town it’s hard to find beautiful material as you have there. However I’m still looking for fabric for my covers. I’ve learned so much and have saved all the videos so I can review them again. I can’t imagine how much work you have put into this series. Work is really not the best word to describe your efforts, to me it’s more of a ministry for junk journalers. You share your creativity, experience, humor and heart! Please know how much I appreciate it!!! ❤Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Watching this one video was like experiencing an entire series of classes on making a hidden spine journal cover. You are so thorough with an easy-to-understand approach. Knowledgeable and entertaining as well. I leaned so much!
(I laughed when the workmen outside your window started making noises. Doesn't that just figure!? It reminded me of Pam from The Paper Outpost when her lawn guy comes at the most inopportune time to cut the grass. Lol!)
Anyway, your clean journal is so beautiful, and that grungy journal looks awesome as well. I am one of those people who was lucky enough to purchase a journal from you and am too scared to ruin it with my lame lack of abilities. I look forward to your coming tutorials on how to add things to purchased journals to help make them your own! You are awesome! ~Becky from Indiana

Luise, I truly loved this series.💗 I've gained so much information, tips, ideas and inspiration...just amazing! Plus, I just enjoy watching you work.🤩 Also, I had to watch the last half of this video 3 times, because I kept falling asleep. lol! It's a good thing! I find your voice so soothing and relaxing. Don't worry...Eva of Bohemian Crafting lulls me to sleep too. And, I love you both!💗💖💗
Please, don't "freak your freak" about your English.😉 I never have a problem understanding what you mean.💖 I can help with a couple of words in this video though. "Crumble" is when something dry breaks apart in small bits, like a cookie or even plaster. "Crumple" is to bunch or squish something up into a wrinkled wad/ball, like a blanket or a piece of paper that then becomes all crinkled & wrinkled. Also, when you said "attitude" about the fabric...I thought it was great! It worked fine, imo.😁 But, sometimes people might say "temperament" or "it is temperamental" when it's difficult to work with. But, hey...at least you speak more than one language! English is my native tongue and I still struggle sometimes.😂
I love your art, and can not wait to see what you bring us next! Much love and many blessings, Tracy in California, USA.💙💙💙

Luise, your Gramma’s material is absolutely stunning!!! Thanks for teaching us how to do a hidden spine. What a lot of work, but I love a challenge. You are such a great teacher my friend. I can now go and make my own, or go back to this in depth video if I forget a step. The grunge journal cover is so funky, and totally my jam, along with the clean version, but more so. My Gramma used a lot of that material in her prize-winning quilts. Maybe that’s why I love it so much. I can’t wait for the next video. Thanks so much for spending so much time teaching us your techniques Luise!❤

Thanks for a great series. I took tons of notes on this episode. When I finish changing my bedroom and creativity room around (it used to be a sewing room until I discovered junk journaling and now it’s too hard todo both in one little room) I will start working on a new book. You are always inspiring and inspiring teacher. ❤

Also; how do you number your journals? This probably sounds like a goofy question and maybe you already have a video for it. But I know that you probably have a very unique way of numbering them. Are they all numbered in the same style? Is your logo the same in every journal? Thank you!! 😊 ? #terribleteaartistry

You don't ever disappoint. l will be referring to this series over and over as I make my way through creating junk journals with you right beside me (well, on my tv anyway) guiding and inspiring me. I would love to have one of your journals. Do you have a wait list or something or is it only first come first serve on your Etsy shop?
