After buying all the DLC and base game for Conan Exiles on my ps5 (prior to playing it on pc couple of years back) which cost me around 120-140 CAD (maybe even more), I just hope I will not be as dog 💩 as Conan is on console. My armour is literally not rendering and a lot of other glitches/ bugs. If Sony would let me refund it I would do it in a heartbeat cause that game is my worst purchase in 2023. So yeah… try not to F up Funcom

My two favorite IPs Conan and Dune brought to life in my favorite game genre and this looks twice as good as Conan. By my will alone i set my hype in motion..
Will we be able to use buildings in the world as player bases? Like expand some building that’s been placed in there by the devs and actually use it for something unlike the buildings we find in games like Ark: Survival Evolved and it’s remake?

Which i know Skull&bones aint from funcom however im excited for both games cant wait for the adventures.
Personally I wouldn’t refer this as Conan 2.0 from what I’ve seen and heard as it’s certainly not. Yes some mechanics may be similar but the way the game is played is different. Base raiding for one is not the focus for Dune Awakening , it’s the control and gathering of spice and other resources Very excited myself , See you on Arrakis 👍🏻

I cannot wait to play this game on Xbox if it is nearly as good as Conan Exiles and it looks like it's going to be better I am going to have the time of my life playing this game . Especially because I'm a big fan of Dune love the books of the movies love all the comics everything has to do with it . PS can you guys add a single player mode like you guys have for Conan Exiles I do like to play this stuff multiplayer but at the same time I do like to go into single player and for your stuff out or Explorer or just build

First of all, love everything I've seen about this game so far. It looks amazing even if you don't typically play survival games and are here for just Dune. I did hear you guys weren't going to implement sand walking at launch due to difficulties implementing the system, but do you ever have plans to add it in the future?

They've said there won't be base combat, all PVP is going to be in PVP areas, and the fighting will primarily be over spice and other raw materials. Your home base won't be subject to Rust style raids and stuff
I haven’t read the books but from what I’ve gathered it all depends on the timeline I believe further in future it actually does become “Green Paradise”

Again please take your time go over your storyline very carefully and be very patient with your game I want to see great potential not a great failure.
…..why are there guns in this game…..the whole point of Dune’s lore is that gunfights basically became obsolete with the inclusion of force fields. Don’t get me wrong the game looks cool as hell but guns? That’s kinda missing a big part of the Dune lore.
I think they will address that. Most likely you'll have to unlock those or something of that nature. I won't give much criticism until stuff is set in stone
Guns had their place in the Dune universe, especially on Arrakis. Shields were not universally used by everyone - they were expensive and used a lot of power to keep active. So they were primarily used by nobility, officers or special forces groups. On Arrakis, the sands would wear down a shield MUCH faster (each grain of sand counted as a bullet, so it would wear out the battery faster). Plus, shields would draw sandworms to you in a killing frenzy if used in worm territory. So there were definitely times and places guns were superior.
Yet another online game from Funcom, the company that ALWAYS abandons their mmos to a skeleton crew after 2 years and they eventually fall to pieces after several more years in the hands of incompetent, understaffed development teams. Absolutely nothing to look forward to here.
Visually, this looks FAR better than survival games typically do.
It's easy to do with a planet as beautiful as Arrakis 💞
