Visit / clareplus for Irish News, Culture & Entertainment. Some of the stories from County Limerick that made the national news during the 1980s. www.amazon.co.uk/Africa-Risin...
@@LearningWithMaryam Pa is the handsome guy in the white suit-jacket with the bluey jumper underneath, he's standing next to the old lady in the glasses outside the lottery store on Bedford Row street in Limerick city centre, you'll see him when they're talking to the folk about the new scratch cards that had just came on sale in Limerick.
I doubt you lived through the 80s Siobhan...'cause it wasn't good. High unemployment, high interest rates, high emigration....that's thousands of young people, leaving the country for most of that decade. And I won't mention the heroin addiction, or the frequent reports of shootings, bombings and armed robberies on evening news bulletins. Plus, lack of access to healthcare and homelessness/substandard housing were issues back then too.
Landladies of Limerick worried about getting students. Little did they know. Thanks for the upload. I love seeing old Limerick! I grew up around UL campus, a lot of good memories
One smart young fella (back in the day) in the front left. Talking about national issues, rather than bollox duck speak generated by the mockingbird media. Star wars....MY ARSE!
R.I.P my beloved brother Pa. Rest in peace love and miss you always.
Where does it Show Pa in the video plz ❤

@@LearningWithMaryam Is this Winnie Or Mags? lol
We didn't appreciate how good we had it back then, to be surrounded by your own people in your own homeland is priceless.
Life terrifies you, doesn't it? Poor lamb. Try to get outside the confines of your own little head some time.
@tonyhartnett3376 I don't take advice from Planters.
@@siobhan3937 Which nicely proves my point about your ignorance.
Well done you!

@shamrockshore6308 I doubt you're living in Ireland or in reality, if you sincerely believe that things are better here now than in the eighties.
