I followed these directions last night and kept getting a black screen occasionally so, I turned off discord overlay, reinstalled the game and mods. Now it not only works, it runs faster! Thanks homie.

To anyone who wants a sick ass revamp mod, check out Saga Edition. It adds a whole slew of new units, skins for each map, such as different clone legions (Utapau giving you 212th, Kashyk having all camo units from the 41st, etc.) and even melee units like clone assassins, Magna guards with their staves, and even red royal guards for the empire.
As well as all of the Battlefront 1 maps, and some cut maps from the PSP version of the game. Not to mention they have a lot of cool inspirations taken from the 2003 CW show, which im a huge fan of.

hello, is this mod (saga edition) compatible with those in the video?
@johnblackburn9574 Saga Edition exists apart from the regular game files. It’s like having 2 games. If you launch from Steam, you get the game as you left it with minimal changes. If you use the Saga Edition launcher, then it’s the modded game. They don’t even share map files or saves.

Only mod you failed to show was the famous Zombie mod so good I thought for the longest time it was a part of the game. After learning what hunt was I tried to find it to play but alas its not actually in the game but just an amazing mod.

Wow, I'm not a game dev or anything but what people can do to do all this is just mind boggling, I know a bit of programming and although I have a reasonable mind it's still a lot of work to achieve decent results and understand things, this is just off the scale cool.....thanks everyone for doing this....awesome!

@@gladiat0r_ yup but now I have one big problem cause when I start BF2 it’s failing right off to boot, as u mentioned to desktop, when I click on the HD logo… I just have installed the Scarif Map so I deinstalled it to see if it’s lagging bc of it, but eitherway it doesn‘t work out…😢 ADDED: I DON‘T have Legacy Modpack

IT WORKS ok with Legacy inspite of that some of the maps are greyed and can‘t find the dedicated multiplayer server. Do u have an idea on how to fix this?

So the remastered hud was working for a bit, but then the next time I booted it up, the game reverted the hud to normal. I checked my gamedata files and found that it was in the "addons" folder, which the creator instructs not to do. But every time I try to reinstall it, it just defaults to the addon folder despite me selecting the gamedata folder. And if I try to manually correct it by just moving the folder into gamedata, it either still doesn't work or doesn't boot up at all.
Also keep in mind if by any chance anakin's remastered version doesn't load up and just shows a black screen only, it's most likely your gpu driver has been outdated, so make sure you update your driver so you can keep playing the mod. 👍

Question for the star wars battlefront 3 mod. (10:38) Do you have to copy just the add-on file and put it in battlefront 2 game data. or can you just copy the mod entirely and put it in the battlefront 2 game data?
I downloaded the Unofficial v1.3 Patch revision 129 (final) on moddb but whenever I load up the game it still says 1.1 did I do something wrong?

Question - when trying to download the Legacy Mod, my PC will not enable it to run as a file but instead runs it in windows media player. it doesnt appear to allow me to download it as the proper .rar file. is there a fix for this?

Even though i installed the game on steam onto my E drive i select the correct folder steam steamapps common the game and it says invalid file name for the patch file

If you are referring to the Remaster mod, yes you can. Just keep in mind most mods wont be "remastered" as they use different textures etc. Always install new mods one by one though as not every mod is compatible with each other and you may install 2 simple map mods and your game crashes. Easy way to avoid it is just install and uninstall as you play the mods only keeping what you need/use the most. Enjoy the game!

whenever i tried to download the 1.3 patch it said i put in the wrong file destination it is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II Classic
My windows defender won’t let me extract/run the Remaster files? Only option it gives me is “Don’t Run”. Is there a way to allow the files to download?
Everything seemed to work great, except several of the BF3 maps appear without names. They are simply blank without description.
It's been awhile since I've messed around with modding this game. I'd have to reinstall the mod etc this weekend if I get a chance to see if I cant re create that.

Dude I really need help. I installed that heroes mod as instructed but every time I tried to load hero assault my game would immediately crash.
So I tried to installing the Star Wars Battlefront 3 Legacy mod and I installed it into the game files. when I launched the game I did see the mod with a new added Maps but I can't seem to launch any of the maps did I download it wrong?

So I believe I did everything correctly, but when I load into games sometimes the screen will turn black and it stays like that for a bit, if I pause I can see the screen though. Otherwise, the game runs fine
If you have discord, disable the overlay.

Everything works flawlessly but for some reason every like once in a while, my games speed rate will increase for a couple seconds and everything is moving super fast and then it goes back to normal. I know the fake console has a command to change the speeds but every time I pick normal speed it works but still the game increases in speed once ina while. Anyone know any fixes?
Hmm never had that. Maybe limit your fps in game. Not sure.

the BF3 Legacy and Scarif map mods aren't working for me
Any idea why some of the mod maps are in yellow in the Instant Action list? I cant seem to add them to the playlist, so i cant actually play them
Modded map names will sometimes be different colors (blue, orange etc) they should work just fine as long as they were installed correctly. Some modded maps only work with certain eras though so that could be why as well.

Hey Gladiator i downloaded the legacy mod and the maps all pop up in game but the only map that it allows me to play is the space demo all the other battlefront III maps do not show modes that i can play anything you would know that could help me out here thanks in advance
Need more info. Is this a fresh install of bf2? Is the legacy mod the only mod you downloaded? did you follow the mods instructions on its page? Because the only reason it wouldn't work is not installing it correctly if you have a fresh install of bf2. If you are having trouble try re installing it. If you are still running into issues, read the mods FAQ page etc. If you followed my steps exactly there shouldn't be any issues.
I followed the instructions but the models for the troopers don't look any better
Edit: Just ended up deleting the file and redownloading the mod and it worked
Thanks very much for the helpful info. How come you didn't start right off installing the "Battlefront 3 Legacy mod" to avoid the redundant first couple steps? Does it break something if you install "Battlefront 3 Legacy mod" first? And when you say you can "skip the first couple" steps, do you really mean we can skip the first three mods you listed under the video? Really liked the video except for getting confused on why we didn't start with installing the bf3 legacy mod.
Thats because I never said skip the 3 mods before the Bf3 legacy mod. I said skip the first one (the 1.3 patch as the Remastered mod includes it so you don't need to install it twice) This has nothing to do with Bf3 legacy mod. I just brought that up early in the video has it was on the first page of the mod list and we were looking at it. But after I mention that mod I move onto 1.5r2 mod which, if you are using that mod, it has the 1.3 patch in it. So you can skip the 1.3 patch. The reason I didn't start with 1.5r2 is not everyone will want to remaster the base game, some just want to add map mods/units etc and you atleast need 1.3 patch to mod the game. So depending on what you want to do you might use the 1.3 patch, or the 1.5r2 mod. Hope that clears it up for you. The BF3 legacy mod is not needed to mod the game. 1.3 or 1.5r2 is needed.

Not bad, was enjoyable while it lasted, but unfortunately after leaving my game run all night, it will no longer allow me to load into a game of any variety, just crashes straight to the desktop. If anyone might know what the conflict here is pls reply, ty!
