I have a confession. I don't play violin. I don't play piano, either. I play no instruments at all. I do listen to classical music sometimes, but I'm not very knowledgeable. I just appreciate your personalities. Sometimes, I have no clue what you're talking about, but you're having a lot of fun doing it and it makes me smile. It's great to see people doing what they're passionate about.

It's good to have parents like that. Mine, for example played some pop for my younger sisters and that was it for their connection with music. When I first discovered normal music I was already 16. When I started to learn to play instruments (drums, piano and guitar) and sing by myself Al they did was just bought me drum pads and I had to get money for everything myself but hey still were irritated with me practicing and often forbid to play the keyboards and guitar for days (I had a small portable synth and a squire strat so they just took the cables away) and I quit on drums pretty fast just using those for loops to help me play the guitar. And when I did some vocal excersizes they just made fun of me for making strange noises. So Chinese kids are still pretty lucky

We literally have a piano at our college with a sign on it that says, "Do not move this piano. It needs to be tuned every time it's moved and that costs $$$." or something like that
This reminds me of Dan Simmons' Endymion, where a guy, who grew up in a nomadic clan, tells he can play the piano because they carried a grand piano with themselves in their caravan. He admits this was a drag, as they had to tune it every time they moved, but they did it anyway because the leader of the group insisted. This was the only thing I could not believe about this entire space opera universe.
How much does it cost in the Us. Because we got a tuning from an expert who had to put a lot of work into it for 120 Euros.

Well, baroque Violin originate from Poland probably. So it's natural we have native word for them. And well, gj making Italian say "skrzypce". And German "geige" can be connected to Polish "gęśle".
Well we also call it Violine in German because of course we have two words for it because we have to have a synonym for everything.

08:33 - I'm pretty certain that roughly half of all your subscribers are NOT violinists. Your content attracts all kinds of musicians AND even non-musicians (who are in it for the memes). I myself am a guitarist, heck, I don't even play Classical (I focus on Blues, Jazz and Rock), yet I still love your channel so much. Same for my wife who plays a little piano. You guys are definitely amongst our top 5 favorite TH-cam channels.
