I remember my first pc has one of those, I thought “well it has a GPU, it must be good, right?”
But obviously it's not good.
It was a budget GPU in 2009, but it could actually run most games back then . Then memory became cheaper and most games demanded at least 1GB so it was becoming obsolete.

I had this one on my core i5 7th gen machine until I realized that the integrated Intel UHD graphics has more juice than this.
I used to play games with this in my 4th gen i3. Playing spore ended up burning out the gpu and it had to be replaced.

That 32-bit memory bus kills that GeForce 210. Not only that, but it has 600 Mhz rather than 800 on the memory, quite slow for a DDR3, and it's 512 MB. It's one of the worst 210s out there. It's barely any better than your old DDR2 one to honest. But at least it works! (For now!)

when i got my 2nd pc in 2011,this was the graphics card i had,for the games till then and before 2011 was good,even for early csgo(till 2015) ,since it could run decent (around 60+ fps on 1024x768 or 80-90 + on 800x600 ) ,older minecraft versions were also good

I remember playing csgo at over 100+ fps in dm on a HD 4350 and i3 530. I don't understand how it is possible to ruin the performance in such a massive way without that big of a graphical improvement.

@@angelomiguel8482 Not really, my gtx 950 is bottlenecking the i5 4690. A few years ago it would be a massive overkill for the game. They simply fucked up the way the game works and have no idea how to fix it. And no, it's not planned obsolence. Valve has nothing to do with GPU production.
@@angelomiguel8482 2GB is fine for textures in CS:GO, but 512 MB not so much. They deliberately increased size of textures without much improvement in quality, and game became much slower.

Keep in mind. The gpu of the PlayStation Vita actually has better performance than a GT 210. This is actually impressive.
So could a PS Vita hypothetically run all these games as homebrew in regards to the hardware specs alone?
@@The1of1000 If thinking of raw power then probably. However, code bases and processor architectures are different, so it would be very hard if not impossible to port some games.

holy shit, i had this card like 10 years ago lol...use to run cs 1.6 at 20 fps with my onboard graphics...got this card and my jaws dropped when I saw 100 fps....the game looked so different...i didn't know much about fps and shit back then...when I saw 100 fps compared to 20 fps i was like "wait??! this is cs 1.6?"
heh I enjoyed the card. Couldn't run any games on it though...specifically bought it for cs ... great purchase ..
BTW ...I still play cs 1.6 and i've been playing it since I was 16 years old. I'm 32 years old now. Yeah

I bought one of these used at a local electronics recycler for $15. I can say it is at least still useful if you want faster graphics on an older cpu that doesn't have good integrated graphics c:
Nahhh you can get older gtx's and radeon hds that would curb stomp the 210 at that price

Looking back at videos of gpus like this makes me realize how far budget gpus have come you can actually get somewhat decent frame rates with budget cards now
I used this gpu to play dead space 1 back in the day lol, actually ran good with a phenom x4

Can you test Doom 3 (non BFG) or Vanilla HL2 on this GPU? My 1st AMD build (talkin Athlon XP LMAO) had onboard nvidia MX4000 graphics that seemed stronger than this... I would get < 30 fps in those games but they were playable. It'd at least be cool to see what this could do on older games.
From my experience, 210gt run old games pretty good ( even HL 2 ) at max setting and 1080p just fine, although you might experience FPS drops below 60 fps to 40 fps at intense moments but it is a good card for classic titles, but I recommend 9500 GT for the best experience.

This was my first GPU
I played gta 4 on 800x600 res with 20 to 30 fps and many other games with 20fps

I got 65 fps in fortnite with g210😏
70 fps at valorant with g210
Card was budget when it was released, but at least it had 512 MB so it could play most games in 800x600 or even 1024x768, which was plenty at that time. However, memory became cheaper somewhere in 2010, and most cards came with 1GB so 210 became obsolete.

I was so glad I didn't buy this. When 2 years ago I was looking for a gpu while knowing nothing about them. I was looking for the cheapest one and luckily this card wasn't in stock. So I bought a gt710. Granted it is also not a good card but it's loads better than

It was slow and painfull to use but
It gave me many hours of fun with my friends or alone
And that is priceless and not even a 3090 can guarantee you that amount of fun

Bought this one back in the day for my dedicated Minecraft server, to get an image. Didn't disappoint.
Back in 2009, this GPU was actually decent. My friend’s PC had this, and he could run pretty much anything albeit at low settings at 720 or even sometimes 900p.
This gpu is so bad it can't run BioShock *2007 game* with 640*480 on medium settings well.

I used one of these for CSGO about 4 years ago, it was my first "real PC" (not a laptop) and I got all the components for free (my cousin gave me the GPU), the GPU was absolutely unusable, I remember getting 20-30 fps just as you did. But, I was using an athlon II X2 220 (which is a 1€ CPU most likely could get 6 of them for 4€ or something). I later upgraded to the Phenom II X6 1055T and a GTX 950 2GB. Got like 250 fps in CSGO...

Me too. I had it paired with an pentium d820, the first dual core before the core 2 duos that were much faster, it was a dell sff with 2gb ram. I played crysis at 15fps for sure. CSSource was one game I was able to fully "run" lol good times.

I only bought one of these from episode to test if my other gpu was broken it would crash on the trevor ron mission on top of the water tower everytime, ordered this to test to see if it would crash and it didn't. Served me well, sent it back same day
