    The grizzly river rampage reference makes me think you're a Nashville lifer. Long live the grizzly river rampage.

      My first job was working in the games section near the Wabash cannonball at Opryland

    I live in white bluff TN. and the harpeth is a amazing beautiful place. There's a lot of spring fed creeks that run into the harpeth. And Montgomery bell founded that whole place.yes they had huge iron mills and mines. But still to this day it's gorgeous and us locals enjoy it and try to keep it beautiful. There's a lot of beautiful fishing especially for largemouth, gar, and huge catfish.

    Great video, just kayaked and fished here for the 2nd time and got skunked but that’s more a testament to my angler skill. Beautiful place with all the cliff overlooks and bluffs.

    If you walk the hiking trail there's a beautiful Moutain side cliff called "table top" that's where alot of our native American ancestors had their meetings and gatherings

    Hello sir. My backyard is the Harpeth River. That river is loaded, and I mean loaded, with large mouth. Best kept secret .

    I was going to suggest that one to you...but...you saw the canoe rentals on the way in...during the summer...don't even try it unless it's a wednesday... its just covered up with rentals drinking beer and swimming. That's not a complaint...the river is for everyone to use...and it is beautiful... It was really quiet and full of big fish 30 years ago when I was 15. My friends and I use to wade that 5 miles until I could buy a canoe. If you go back and don't mind paddling back upstream...the current is slow and it's easy....go downstream from where you got out....NOBODY goes down there because the next take out is 20 miles downriver at the cumberland....you can fish down to the next bridge...then paddle back upstream and fish as you go the spots that you floated past too quickly. The river level its at right now and below is perfect for that. Live in the Boro now...so I only get down there a couple times a year....that harpeth sandstone sure is kinder to the bottom of my boat than the limestone on the stones. I really enjoy your content....keep it up!!! and thanks!

      This is so much good information! I will definitely go down stream. That's definitely my new favorite trip. It may not hold the big fish that it used to but it's still a great spot to fish

      @@Betterdaysfishing You found it out...but the fish on the harpeth must go to training to throw hooks....on that same trip 5 years ago my daughter hooked 15 bass...didn't get one of them all the way in...she still gets mad about it if I mention it to her...LOL there are still some mighty big fish...you will find some.

    Not sure if you use hellgrammites or not but they seem to want that as well either ned rigged or Texas rigged haven't tried any other way! Definitely loved Opryland too when it was here unfortunately never got to ride the hangman though! Have a good 1 Tight Lines!

    What was the river flow for this river on this day?

    • @Betterdaysfishing
      @Betterdaysfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure. It's not one I usually check. I was told that it was very low

    • @Betterdaysfishing
      @Betterdaysfishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      270 cfs today. It would have been similar Monday. That river is really wide and can handle much more flow and still be safe
