Late to the party I have only once seen this place have that much water. Used to be one of the greats sad it has gone down hill. Caught some great fish there.
It sadly completely died off this year. I fished that channel a ton years ago. The water levels are rarely high enough now. Its unfortunate----especially for a place that kicks out monsters
The last few weeks I had been trying to remember the name of a lake I fished once about 30 yrs ago. I knew the general area and that we caught a bunch of "Fatties" trolling. I finally remember the name and made the long trek out there Friday after work. It was getting dark just as I arrived so I pulled over at the nearest camp spot and got set up. Saturday I got up and made my way down to waters edge and looked at the rock wall and the little cove. I thought my mind was playing tricks on me as I thought recognized it from your channel. So, here I am surfing your channel to see if I was correctly identified this place. Sure enough. I only caught 3 "Fatties" (midnight fire leech) and missed 3 others. It seems like we fish a lot of the same places but sir, always do better than me. Keep the vids coming and who knows, I may just bump into you one day.
I was just there as well. The water level is way down from last year. We still got into some fish but no where near as many as last year. Exactly 10 years ago there was beyond epic for both quality and quantity. After it winter killed 8 yrs ago the quality has never equaled. It's still awesome but I miss the days of catching several dozen mega fat bows a day from 20 to 26 inches
I been looking into this boat for awhile. I think it’s rather expensive for an inflatable and seems it should be a foot wider. At least from the pictures and videos. But would like to see one in person before pulling the trigger.
I haven't tried it on a river yet but it's surprisingly stable standing up on a Stillwater. They make a three man version that is ten inches wider that handles rivers like the Green just fine. The Flycraft employee that helped me load it into my truck told me he has taken the two man version down the Green multiple times and has had no problems.
TroutHowler thank you for the info. I got a drift boat now, but was thinking about a more portable one without trailering or dealing with boat ramps. 😷
Hello I’m hoping you can help me. I ordered the base package but I’m now looking for oars that will fit. Can you please tell me the length of the oars that come with the boat.
Thanks for the review!
👍
that man delivered me into this world!!
Haha, I just talking to Dr. Codd a couple hours ago. We're trying to come up with a weekend to go on a trip. He's one of the best guys I know.

Thanks for another great video of my favorite fishing place as a kid. I used to catch Native Cutthroat there.
Thanks, I'm excited that it has made a comeback

@@TroutHowler Yeah, its way down. Not much water back up into that channel. Catching fish is fun but, catching big fish is more fun.
That's one awesome boat. You get the biggest fish in Utah. Love the vids. Keep 'em coming.
As long as you're willing to acknowledge that---we can still be friends
Don't forget to lock the gate on your way out lol. Nice to be able to couch fish now n then. Great job!
It was a lot of fun. Those boats are pretty impressive.
Out of curiosity, what college offered a fly fishing class?! hahaha
Haha, we went to BYU. I have heard of several other colleges offering fly fishing classes so that's not unique to BYU. It was a fun class for sure.
Nice! Looks like a great day. That boat looks like it did a great job for ya.
Keep up the good work.
It was super fun
Man every video I have to tell you how much I love your channel and to keep up the good vids man!!!
Rad boat. Another great video my friend.
Thanks man, yeah the boat is pretty sweet. It was a lot of fun
Nice toy. That might be added to my wish list.
They're pretty sweet
Congrats on getting some commercial attention on your channel! You still make the best flyfishing vids in Utah.
I don't know about the best fly fishing vids part but I appreciate the kind words none the less 😊
the place they are fishing seems like snag central...i would lose a few rigs in there haha.
I may or may not have edited out a snag or two 😆

They are made in SLC if you want to check them out. You can get a bed extender that goes in your receiver and put it in your short bed truck.
I know you have a short bed, but could you fit that in the back of your truck? Width wise?
Yes sir, I fit it in the back of my truck all the time.
Beautiful scenery there and no pressure on that honey hole. Sweet ! Thanks for video n best wishes. 🙂🙂
Go Utes!
@@kurtporter1323 My sworn enemy. I went to the Y 😊. Many of my friends chose poorly and went to the U haha
Hey, football scholarship counts for something, right?

7 ft I'm sure you'll enjoy the boat. I certainly have so far
Nice catch - where about is this? I have been looking for some slow moving channels of water to take my pontoon.
@@calumhanson7723 That's just rude lol
Looks like fun great video ?What part of Utah is this
North East. It Unfortunately it died off this past winter--no fish survived
