I don't usually watch Tom and I would have scrolled right past this I'm about halfway just looting everything and having a blast, very well made game!

Yeah, that was an odd decision, I feel. First thing I tried to do in every zone was beeline the tower and install DT.
I think he thinks the beads are rarer than they actually are, so he's trying to save them for big/well-traveled areas.
Its his first play through. It makes sense he thinks they're as rare as he makes them out to be

Two Lovecraftian inspired games you should check out Tom:
1. Desolatium. First person point and click Lovecraftian game where you solve puzzles and face Lovecraftian creatures. Only a demo at the moment but worth checking out I think.
2. Call of the Sea. It's an adventure/puzzle game set in the 50s on an island in the pacific with clear Lovecraftian influences. A really beautiful game with good puzzles. I think you'd like it a lot :)
Call of the Sea is 'very' puzzle game, but it is honestly a wonderful gaming experience. Like the weirdest, and yet most perfect blend of Lovecraft and Disney, of all things. Charms and joy in spades, but with the most potent undercurrent of spoops.
@@Blisterdude123 I agree. Its such a beautiful game that has that lovecraft inspiration to it but isnt just another lovecraft rehash. Super pretty with good puzzles and not too long as well so would love to see Tom do a full playthrough :)

So, I got the game from enjoying this quite a bit, and I'll share a tip.
Deadly Transmission. Deadly Transmission. Deadly Transmission. Deadly Transmission. Deadly Transmission.
You'll be thanking yourself repeatedly afterwards.
Two small tips:
Quicker to harvest crops by cutting them down then it is pressing E.
You can sleep to speed up production buildings.
Also. Wow, that tomb took me the longest of all of them, just couldn't get the timing right on that last bit but you just... walked it. I never thought to walk! Always sprinting - and half the time accidentallly going on an X.
PS realise it's all pre-recorded so even if you see this, you may have already figured it out yourself.
Well that's lucky! I just found this place yesterday in my playthrough.
Do you think Tom will ever realise that you can change your hat, clothing and trinkets from anywhere? You dont have to do it at a camp fire.
He has done it, it's just less common for him to remember on the spot it seems.
I think in the video after the break he said that he saw comments saying that he could do it but thinks that you shouldn't be able to so just chooses to change at the fire
Kinda cool that the subnautica: below zero fish make a cameo in this series

With the amount of Tombs and amount of Bosses, honestly do not worry about putting orbs in for Deadly Transmission, you're approaching the part of the game where the minimal resources they give aren't really worth it anymore when you have [or will have soon] the means of getting whatever you need from smashing virtually as fast.
Honestly... everything about the Hunting Rifle is underwhelming until it's fully upgraded and even then it just takes so much it didn't feel worth it other than for one zone with an enemy type that's really annoying you haven't seen yet but will soon.
Getting the axe up to 80 though 😩👌I remember how good that felt. Now that you have the axe as your primary melee [besides the katana which fully upgraded is worthwhile cus it has monster damage boost] you should switch around your trinkets. 90% recommend that material magnet, it's such a QoL improvement.
Still definitely recommend the gas bridge as your next destination.
Hunting Rifle is great for dealing with the spike plants and provoking the skinless into prox mines. That's been my main use for it so far.
@@Jokie155 Honestly at the point I was at when I got it, I just power attack 1 shot the spike plants and 2 shot power attacked the... I assume skinless, the screamy skeletal guys.
That said I killed myself twice on the prox bombs and ignored them after that.
Honestly the lack of ammo just made me really not like the hunting rifle.

I caught it continuing on from the montages, and wanted to say - nice job on the musical choices in this one! Good BGM in a series like this makes things feel especially Angory!
Until you get the sickle I'm pretty sure you can grenade your farms to harvest.

I recommend The Procession To Calvary point and click adventure game. Made up of old renesanse paintings, basically Monty Python the game. Whould be nice if you and could play it with Simon or Ben.

Tom, if I can offer a word or two of advice (I don't even know if you can read it before the next episode or if its all pre-recorded :D):
You want to start collecting leaves again - you will need a TON of them to tile more plots of the field. And to make lumber
You also want to grow more crops - a full field of each should see to MOST of what you will need to cook.
On the subject - fully upgraded sickle can cut down 4 plants at once with a single swing. Its saves a lot of time when harvesting.
Fully upgraded katana deals 40 dmg +120% of that against monsters. And hits multiple targets. It's pretty good for killing, garbage for everything else.

Commenting at the start so forgive me if this is a dumb question, did Tom go in the old temple that the explorers gassed and did I miss it, or did he forget about it?
No. I can't remember if he checked it or not, but it doesn't open until you complete all of the other tombs. And opening all of them also requires you to collect all of the myth tablets.

Tom, you should really start using the Deadly Transmission on the towers as you'll need the mana that enemies will drop for later.
You can harvest crops with the sickle btw.
You will want triple digits worth of seeds of every crop.... just trust me.

Tom tip for later there's a quest called The Ark that you need a load of resources for especially the farming kind build big farms
You really need to level up and use your scythe. Its far better for clearing out houses etc. before using your heavy hitter to get the tougher items. It will save you a ton of time.
you should expand your farm, and also go to the other spots where you can farm you have several spots you can plant them being: Packard family farm 1487:463 §§ Evans farmhouse 1349:594 §§ Tropical Farm 1591:807 §§ Sanctuary Farm 1025:597. would give you more food than you are able to eat if you keep them replanted
