A nano V3 from china is under 2 euro, the same goes for the TM1638 display. Then you need some plexiglas, bolts, nuts and something to wrap the front of the display. I did a similar build (used a cheaper tm1368 with only red LED's)

Just found your channel. Awesome videos. Looking forward to making some of these projects. Oh, and on the first corner of Brands Hatch, try breaking a straight breaking line down the middle of the straight and turn in for a slightly later apex just before you run out of road, then go full throttle to exit. It'll feel like you're about to come off into the gravel, but that dip at the bottom of the hill will give you a mass of traction just in time to keep you on the track. Feels great when you get it right.
Love to be able to buy the housing n Perspex cut out. What you made is awesome getting thing together and can’t wait to have it up n running. Cheers bro subbed

Unfortunately not all ws2812 modules are equal and after building this all I got was random led action and yes it's wired correctly and setup correctly. After changing for individual led versions it works fine but for some reason not with these modules. I've ordered the ones from the same supplies as you hope they work.
@@Sergyvics not currently mate but will update when its worked out i figure it's cheap version of WB2812 stick. can be an issue if not soldered nice and neatly so hope your soldering skills are not the problem. This video is a bit old, but still relevant... but, does anyone know how to setup the lights so they function like the ones in the video? Of course simhub has been updated since then and it seems like it's impossible to get this same light coloring setup.
With modification of code you could use one. However if you do not know your way around C and arduino. It is a lot easier just to buy another arduino. The chinese clone arduiono market is great for this because the cost less than 2 or 3 euros.
I'm asking because there doesn't appear to be a sketch for it .It more seems like the Arduino Interfaces with the software in real time. Hence I question if it's possible to make it run as a USB device as well simultaneously.
Ah sorry, I didn't notice this uses simhub. It seems that simhub sends data over serial so to do so it must overwrite any sketch on the arduino. While I am sure with some trickery you could use one arduino it will not be easy. At least that's my view on the matter.
Great videos man...I´ve got one question? Is it possible to connect these led strips together to one arduino with 7-segment led display connected or each thing (7-segment led display and LED strips) need to be connected to own arduino?
Hey man, awesome videos! i got a question though, do you think it would be possible to make the 6 extra lights (3 left and 3 right of the rev lights) like they have on F1, Indy and other race cars to display flags, pit, drs etc.
Is there a way to buy the case to put the lights in or does it require owning a 3D Printer? Just wondering as would love to make this however not having access to a 3D Printer is an issue.
