Not going to lie, the anxiety I had during every scene Rob was in I was convinced my boy was about to tap out of life permanently 😢.It wasn’t until like the second to last scene when he comes home, looks himself in the mirror and smirks at himself almost as if he proved to himself that he didn’t see a monster like Muck had warned about that I finally breathed a sigh of relief…Then his ceiling finally gave way and I was like 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😂😂.

🤣🤣the ceiling wanted to remind us that it's never all fine with him. But yup, you're right, we were all on edge for Robert during this episode

Both Rob and Yas have to be fired this season, or there are no stakes on this show. They have no power, and Yas is a liability because of the bad press. In real life they would have been fired long ago. Rishi should end up in jail. I really hope Yas didn't *actually* kill her dad-- that would be too soap opera.

@@SuperRobertoClemente Almost time to find out! Co-creator, Konrad Kay, did say when he was on the podcast last week that they try to avoid "melodrama" and that they felt like the full events of the boat were in line with the show's reality. I guess we'll find out soon enough

@@popcornfordinnerpodcast It's the plot thread I'm least interested in. I'm not much for "whodunnits." Industry is inventing a new genre, so I don't want the traces of old genres sneaking in to add suspense. For me the maximum suspense is in how old human situations like friendship, love, jealousy, hate, etc. are totally undone by capital. Succession tried to do that, but could never discard its ties to King Lear and Shakespearean archetypes. Industry is breaking new, terrifying ground. It's the first great AI-age story-- posthuman, in all its horrors and sadness.

(of course, there have been plenty of stories ABOUT AI). But they were before it really surged into our lives, like we are confronting our own non-humanness. Sci-fi without the future. The Safdie Bros. probably got there first.

lol she said harper can die. oh yeah the little screen time for harper is quite strange. giving how harper and eric were so close and then suddenly s3 saw them separate and harper and eric are like growing enemies

The little screen time is a natural progression from Harper being fired at end of season two and hence out of that world ostensibly, but also practically it gave them a chance to shine the light on the rest of the ensemble. We're very excited to see what Harper has up her sleeves over the next 3 episodes though

Harper has a tendency to get overconfident and make mistakes off that. She'll go all-in on a Pierpoint short. Meanwhile, Pierpoint is going into crisis mode-- they'll restructure, fire lots of people, to shore up their stock price. If the company survives, Harper's bet might not pay off-- and it could take down her new fund.
