Great takes! Last blowout win against USC, 1966, 51-0, national champions. In 1988, I attended this battle of two undefeated teams, both 11-0, ranked 1-2 in the country at the Coliseum. Irish won 27-10, winning their last national championship to date. In 2022, 2018, ND had a playoff spot on the line and won both games in competitive struggle. This Saturday, again a playoff spot at stake playing the Trojans. This team is different in terms of talent, depth and most of all focus. Notre Dame by at least 17 points.
Love your analysis great job. I get where you're coming from with the extra motivation for USC with us still being ranked behind Penn State. Hope we can blow then out and get that 6 seed! GO IRISH!!!
What is USC motivation in this game. Revenge for what happened last year? Maybe. But more likely, nfl prospects on usc will be dialing it back so they don’t get injured before they opt out of their meaningless bowl game. Players upset and wanting to transfer will also not want to be hurt. OR, they will play “me first” football to make their transfer prospects better, and not play within the framework of the team. Meanwhile Notre Dame is playing for their playoff lives.
If you have been around long enough make no mistake about this game with USC and their poor showing this year that allows us to waltz into the playoffs. My hatred started in 1964 at 15 years of age and Notre Dame's run came crashing down because of those miserable jimmy hats .......the upside is Marcus has his team of killers chewing on nails this time we're on a mission from God
USC was hot back when they had Sam Darnold and we destroyed them. The only reason they beat us with Caleb Williams back in 2022 i believe was because of his feet, not because of the weapons USC had/didnt have and that USC win wasnt even a blowout
Notre dame doesn't need to worry about blowing them out. They are in for a dog fight Sat. This SC team has its issues and shit the bed in the 4th quarters. But they are good and can beat ND in the coliseum. Records aside, this is the best team ND has faced all year. Can't wait for this one.
Stop worrying about blowing out teams and just win. There isn't an unbeatable team out there, going to have to play the best teams at some point anyway and ND is capable of beating anyone. When you worry about winning by a certain margin thats when you get beat
18:51 It appears The Irish are too confident. SC’s defense is very tough in the red zone. ND has not played a high power offense with multiple weapons such as The Trojans. USC for the win. ✌️✌️✌️
ND can’t complain about their ranking. They are still paying for the ridiculous NIU loss. That being said they responded. Nobody has played better than ND since then. ND beat USC with Caleb Williams 48-20 LY at home. How much has changed other than this being a road game?
Usually usc plays a tough game,...as i remember back in the day they spoiled a few championships games fir the irish..but not this year Irish are well rounded And on a mission... I smell win and a 11-1 Playoff birth.
SEC is so overrated and they still try to keep all those teams in top 25.. Alabama gets creamed by a down Oklahoma and they still keep them at #13 with an 8-3 record. just sucks
"See what you have to ask yourself is what kind of person are you? Are you the kind that sees signs, that sees miracles? Or do you believe that people just get lucky? Or, look at the question this way: Is it possible that there are no coincidences?" It made for dramatic purpose in a movie scene many know well, but also underlies the types of arguments that absolutists will make because for them everything is black and white, all or nothing. Most things in life are harder to parse in a way we can all understand as all one way or t'other - and college football has to be one of the weirdest and and most given to odd chance team sports in America. That is, if we allow there is 'odd chance'. I'm certainly no theologian, and I'm not telling you to bend your head around me being so dogmatic that I -or anyone would claim God goes around and makes every nutty play in some pretty nutty games the way they turn out. What I _am_ saying is that we, as animals, developed a survival skill to see patterns, such as the shape of a predator in the tall grass. Sometimes this is still a useful skill, and we use it to -earn money on the stock market, make a good play at the poker table, or choose the right hole in the O-line. Sometimes it announces itself less clearly as a 'feeling' or an 'expectation'. Often enough if we encourage it too much we can achieve the 'paranoid', or even 'loon' label. You will decide, if you read this far, what range you or I fit into, but before you turn away, think about that quote. What if a truly bizarre, I believe Tyler called it 'the most fantastically and unbelieveably lucky play', had not occurred in the NIU game? What if ND _hadn't_ lost that early game against a team that under most conditions was nearly punchless? Would we have lost a more recent, and injurious game, to a more believeable opponnent, resulting in the CFB committee sealing us forever in 'the friend zone'? Would Freeman have turned? Would the team have seen what it needed to, would maturity have been discovered? USC is the perfect example of what some great talent gathered together can look like when it isn't loaded right. When it isn't seasoned. When it hasn't achieved a steely resolve through pain experienced and observed in those we care about. While we can't always see the Magician's trick for what it is beforehand, we can all agree that the miraculous end product is worth the watch, and we should all be in awe of what we are now witnessing. With all the weird things - all the bizarre chances, the results of which cannot be completely augured, even now... it is very hard not to get the 'feeling' that this can't really all be just a set up, "...I do not see coincidence, I see providence. I see purpose. I believe it our fate to be here. It is our destiny" -Morpheus Go Irish!
Nessler & Danielson SUUUUCK!!! SEC Shills! What’s the over under on how many ND players names they botch? Whatever it is take the over. I forget who had the bowl game blowout over Oregon St. last year, but they were awful… this is going to be the same. The broadcasting team that did the bowl game, clearly wanted to be ANYPLACE else. At one point one of those clowns said that ‘Jeremiah Love isn’t known to be a speed guy’ or something like that. Expect more of the same on Saturday.
@@patrickhennessy8022 lol you were right on two out three , our special team destroyed usc , fake punt for the first from our own 20 , our punter unleashed a 60 yard punt, we had to kick off so many times because we scored so much , but never allowed a long return , we also out coached them , and our fans were loud in the ghetto
Meh...I'd pick ND to beat PSU right now...I would not have until recently. ND defense is at least as good, arguably better. On O, ND has more weapons, a newly functional pass game, and a better OC. Shrug.

THIS IS A MUCH MORE SCARY GAME THAN ANY THIS YEAR, WE NEED TO BE IN ATTACK MODE AND BE VERY PHYSICAL. THIS HAS UPSET WRITTEN ALL OVER IT
Na..they got this...usc is mediocre at best...irish defense wins this one.
@@michaeldidomenico7 of course it is which is why playoff talk is stupid until after this next game!

Great show. Happy Thanksgiving!
Good news for Trojan fans , this game will not be a heart breaker, it will be over by halftime, Notre dame 42 sc 10
You lost to NIU
Both USC and Notre Dame are garbage
@ScarletGray-o3j please explain
@@ScarletGray-o3jya mom is garbage
@@ScarletGray-o3j you lost 5 games barely beat a sad bruin team , I think niu would destroy Troy you guys suck
No, it’s going to be close
The fact SC has had the lead in the 4th quarter every game scares me
Facts. They are definitely much better than their record suggests.
8 wins so far over bowl eligible teams. The most in the country, could be 9 come Saturday afternoon
I could give a F about where they’re ranked w regards to Penn St. …. Gotta get past this night game @ USC!!!!!

They want to win that's the motivation
I'm looking for 4 tickets to the ND vs. USC game.

SC doesn't lose big. They are 10pts better playing at home also.
Tyler you didn't actually give your score prediction lol😂
Yes he did 35-17
@jamespaultaylor2059 thanks guess I missed it what time mark was it.

If nd plasters usc it would scare opponents in playoff🎉…tough game for sure 42-21

The last time ND ‘blew out’ USC in the colosseum was 2001. This game will be close. This game will come down to the last possession.
No i'm expecting a moderate blowout at least by three touchdowns
Go Irish
