My Sister, I hope you have plenty of step-downs. If not you will burn your electronics up! As you know and many people have found out. the hard way. The power outlets are 220 volts in Ghana. The only thing that would ship to Ghana is a clothes dryer, they are already 220. Electronics and appliances are cheaper in Ghana, especially with the current exchange rate. Custom duties in Ghana are through the roof especially if you are shipping a car in. A friend wanted to ship his 2023 Lexus SUV, duties would have been $47,000! You fared well , but the horror stories at the port abound!

Not all U.S. electronics require 110-115 only. I have several items that are multi voltage like my Xbox series X for instance. I’ve used it in Gambia, Zambia and now Kenya and it’s still working great with no transformer.

That is not correct electronics in Ghana are various expensive, and they're not high-quality electronics.. Ppl all know about steps down...

I hope you don’t think it’s strange that outside North America 🇺🇸 the electric ⚡️ voltage has different power supply especially being in Africa.
It’s just common sense to educate yourself about what’s happening outside what you might call your comfort zone.

The infrastructure is NOT better than AMERICA .. in my opinion .. if AFRICA, JAMAICA, NIGERIA and all those other regions infrastructure was better than America they would never feel the need to move here or make money here just to take it back to their hometown ..
See, we need to switch thats all. America has the infrastructure but bad leaders. Africa lacks infrastructure, NO IT DOESN'T ??? ok why are there poor areas in the WEALTHIEST country on the EARTH lmao .. that doesnt even make sense .. if africa was so rich not one location there should be poor or lacking .. period ..
Like I was saying, Africa has better freedom. Or does it? but yeah, I'd like to move but I want a shower head, running water, my own lot of land, shelter, solar power, etc. I've seen videos of ppl shower with buckets, it doesnt have to be that way when you can these things in other countries online .. but I digress..

Electronics prices in Ghana are pre-2015 prices, which means they’re exorbitantly very high. I found a Samsung TV in the US for $1,300 and with taxes about $1,506 which was an equivalent of 16,861 Cedis at the time. I came home and went to the electronics stores in Accra and that exact TV was selling for 49,999 Cedis. I came back and went straight to store to get it simply because I’ll save me about 30,000 Cedis give or take
