After 26 years living and working between Thailand and the united states I can honestly say most Black men who come here never want to leave. During the quarter century that I have been here I have never had to deal with racism or racists.

To be honest, I think comparing BKK to Las Vegas, I still feel like I'm more BLACK here than I am back in Vegas. In Thailand, women will let you know how black you are by clutching their purse, holding their nose, walking in the sopposite direction or immediately turning their head away when they see you -- or even not sitting next to you on the train.

I know you made this video for Black Men but as a Black Woman I feel the same way you feel about Thailand. When I visited Thailand I didn't feel "Black", I felt like a person. I definitely relate to a lot of what you're saying from the mundane life in the US to the kindness and peace I felt in Thailand.

Well, I think you may have visited at the right time, because between 2013-2017, and teaching English out here, they will let YOU KNOW that whites are the gods and that you were just parasites, as what happened with me. Times have absolutely changed no doubt, but this wasn't always the case.

I see things happen in US and deeply understand what the most of black peoples have to deal with racism also for and Hispanic people and Asian people too. it’s like if you are not White you will be treated differently. I’m not saying all white are bad a lot of good white people out there. US will never get rid of something call the “white privileged” that’s what I experienced and still experience now day. Thai culture is to take care of mankind. They are accepting. The next thing you will be pushed to (I promise) is that your being black is nothing to them but to describe you if they need to. For Thai, if you are human and you are not trippy, then you are good, very simple.

Best thing I have learned was to lower my expectations when it comes to customer service in Thailand. Things are laid back for the most part, so the service culture is rather relaxed as well. You get used to it and then you learn to bring a good book to a doctors visit, since it may take awhile. But in Bangkok, at top quality hospitals and hotels, the service is top notch as you would expect.

The customer service at most places are far from efficient. When you visit a well structured establishment, it’s a world of difference. Now more than ever thought, the cost of living is wayyyyy cheaper. Bkk can be expensive depending on where you go. When you learn Thai, people will probably just think you’re from the south.

If you live in thailand and understand thai language. When you hear someone call yoy black or curly hair or some word that make you feel racism. Please understand we are not racism like american people. Sometime thai people make fun with this thing. It's bad habit of thai people. We think it fun. Something like Hey that black guy come here! Or some bad joke. Please understand their is **no hate** or racism in that. It's just bad thai habit who want to make fun with someone appearance. Some Thai think this can make we become friend quickier by make joke about their appearance.
We do that to every one chinese or white guy or indian or japan or thai people themself. Thai people love fun and not serius but sometime it's too much.
We once have a popular song which wrote about thai people who live on mountain and cannot speak proper thai accent. I think if it is in America is must be so racism but thai thai people make fun about it because we think it cute.5555555
I hate doing joke with that (i was call glasses since 10 years old because i wear glass but now i love it 5555) and i sometime do it with my best friend such as elephant leg (her legs are big). But i want you to know this thai normal habit so that you can stay in thailand stress free. If Some thai call you black just because they want to be friend with you or make you laugh. Just laugh at it. And accept that who you are. You are black that why thay call you black. I am glasses that why my friend call me that. Please understand we have no hate in it.
Please stay in this country with stress free, hate free. Don't think too much. Make youself happy and make others happy. Hang out with thai local and learn from them.

Well, I wouldn't say American people, but White American people. Two, women are the ones that are more racist, mostly the influencers and the ones that change their skin white and post photos of them with white random men and babies on IG. Those are the ones that fuel that racism that still lives within the Chinese-Thai community. Thai -- pure Thai, no problem. Chinese-Thai = always a problem.

@@34Poolside I have come across with a vlog of a Swiss man. He is disabled and need to be on a wheelchair. He lives in Thailand. He explained how good medical care and service he received in Thailand. Of course, he mentioned that he also had experience of people trying to take advantage from him. But overall, he has been very happy that he made a decision to come and live in Thailand. BKK has a lot of good hospital with physicians who got their training and fellowship in US. One of hospitals I would recommend is "Bunrungraj". Some of my friends are working there as nurses. Just check it out. I am sure they can guide you for home visiting nurses, caregivers, physical therapy ect. As long as, you have good health insurance and financial resources.

I already have my hotel booked but compared to what you were talking in regards to price sounds like I can get a better deal elsewhere. Current price is $82/night.

We actually mocked Laotians and Cambodians like the brotherly fights and some itchy feelings toward Myanmar ppl but sometimes we feel emphathy for them. They can live their lives peacefully or build their own futures in Thailand.
For ppl from other countries, we consider and treat them as guests.

Welcome to Thailand hope you are very happy and tell people to come travel in thailand Thailand is a Buddhist country. Most of the traditions and ways are thus Buddhist-style, emphasizing sharing and being considerate to fellow human beings and animals. Many people may not believe it, it's the truth, it's the way of life of the Thai people.

good man Isaiah, enjoy TH ! 🍀My brother in law is married to a beautiful Nigerian woman and the kids are mixed, - my sister in law didn`t feel comfortable in Phuket, to many tourists, they looked to her in a strange way, so she told me (that was a few years ago), - but she was happy in Cuba and Havanna ! I think TH is a free and friendly country with good spirit until now....

Thailand was never a free spirited country. Nigerians, based on the disgusting racist media, are the worst humans imaginable through the eyes of Thai. Ask any Thai, even in the business district and those who work for international companies in Sathorn, "what do you think of Nigerians?" -- and you will be shocked by the answers. It still lingers because the government, police, media, and hiso people of this country think black is bad and white is great.

I’m so happy for you.and you’re fair . Because a lot of people like to complain about beautiful night time ladies.it’s make me feel like they think all Thai women have to doing that’s job.because I don’t.and just to let everyone know. 50% of those nighttime women is not Thailand citizens most of them can’t read or write in Thai and as a Thai citizen I’m not judging and 99% of Thai people will not judge. We happy for everyone .long as no one forces them.it’s a freedom country everyone can do what ever u want .have fun in Thailand . I am from surin province I would love to show you my hometown.second week of November before thanksgiving my hometown have elephants festival and it’s not to far from phanom rung historical park u will be happy there thanks ขอบคุณค่ะ

Thank you for loving our country. But I have to say that there are good people and also bad people in everywhere. Most of Thai might be generous and polite but I can't deny some of us wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of foreigners. Please be careful and never trust in everyone easily, especially in risky and financial situations. Take sometimes to learn about the people you meet before deciding to make friends. Hope you will enjoy staying in Thailand.
