Hunua Falls, a beautiful place in the south of Auckland.
The Hunua Falls is located in the Hunua Range Regional Park. It's a great spot to spend a sunny day out in Auckland. The waterfall is extremely easily accessible from the carpark making it a popular waterfall in Auckland.
There are various walks you can do in the Hunua Ranges. If you go on the suspension bridge track to visit the Wairoa Dam like we did, we reckon we did the track in reverse which meant that early on there are some steep inclines (after the bridge) and there's a fair bit of steps throughout the native bush hike too so we worked up a sweat pretty quickly. For a much easier walk, do the loop from the Wairoa Dam first!
