Hey Vicky! Thanks for the review😍 I’m glad my routine helped and made your self relaxing process much easier!! P.s. to avoid under processed areas, I find that basing my scalp the night before (or even a couple days prior) helps a ton. Basing the day of, increases my chances of under processed areas. That’s just my opinion based off experience. HTH💕
Hi.. Never experienced scalp burns before I used to use the out of oil relaxer and I used it for 1 year. I never had any problems with it it's just that the relaxer I wanted something else instead of this particular relaxer my daughter handed me that relaxer. Because she was relaxing my hair at home it's been 5 years now since I've been relaxing my hair at home and I took it I was OK with it but I just wanted my hair to be straighter so after one year's past I began to use the cream of nature straight from Eden I used that for maybe 89 months after that I didn't see the relaxer anymore I looked everywhere you just didn't seem to admit I didn't see it it was in superstrength so I went to the Mazani Butter creams and I'm still using the Masani buttercream.. I love this relaxer it makes my hair very silky soft and smooth and it tends to last a little longer last a little longer Then the other 2 Thank you ever so kindly for your opinion of the Olive war relaxer God-bless you🙏🏽❣
So I'm in SA as well and planning to relax my hair in 2 weeks. For the pre twist I'll just use vaseline and my olive, avo, grapeseed oil mixture. For the opalex alternative (I'm also not spending that kind of money on no damn cream) I did a bit of searching and found this -Schwarzkopf Gliss Ultimate Repair Treatment Mask Its around R100, claims to provide the same benefits as the Opalex but you keep it in for a like 5 minutes. The reviews are also very good. Will come back and give feedback. Will be my first time self relaxing since giving a serious approach to my hair. *fingers crossed Do you really think the brand of relaxer makes a huge difference? Ive used dark and lovely since I was a kid but I've never been opposed to changing. As long as its not like Easy Waves or something lol (sorry)
Hey Zanele. Thank you for the Schwarzkopf suggestion. I’ll look into it as well. For the relaxers I’ve been using the same relaxer for the longest time. I’m not sure if it’s going to play a major role but they are all formulated slightly differently in terms of added ingredients so I just need to try it out and see. Can’t wait for the feedback 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽
