Biggest difference is one transitioned to a stronger federal government with an emphasis on military and the other... well I don't actually know what happened to Disney's NR because their movies stink and barely even mention them, but it seems like literally their capitol and the entire system around it was destroyed, so that probably got MOST of their government. Again great job, but would love a Legends universe version of this video, just so much more great lore. Legends wise I think of the Old Republic as a cross between NATO and the UN. I find the many different sovereign planets, their militaries, empires, and the associated noble intrigue between the Ancient or Great Houses just much more interesting than what the new canon has thus far. Not to mention many of the Legends elements regarding the Clone Wars as well.
I really like how in every video you touch on the themes that are most prominent in the source material of its subject. That is one of the things that, I believe, elevates Templin above other lore channels and into something unique.

The politics was a bit boring to watch during the prequals, but so incredible important to the overall story-arc and worldbuilding. The new movies have practically zero world-building.

The politics was a bit boring to watch during the prequals, but so incredible important to the overall story-arc and worldbuilding. The new movies have practically zero world-building.

the prequels aged like fine wine, from bad to amazing.
in several years from now fans will say the same about the sequel trilogy it will garner a new generation with episodes 10-12 some years down the line.
