Works well, however the only issue is that if you have a "Page Count" and "Table of Contents and Index" they don't get updated accordingly!

Hello. Glad it helped. If I remember correctly, but not used for so time now. You need to update the table of contents every time you make a change. I will have a look when I get a minute

Would it be possible for you to help me? I need to edit a document for my class until next week, and i have a problem with page numbering.
1. The first (Title) and the second (Index) pages have to be without numbers,
2. From the third page, the pages have to have page numbers, but the 3.page have to start as page n.5 (not page n.3)
Could you help me?

Hi, I'm glad it help :). What you need to do is follow the second tutorial (page 3 or higher) and then use the offset that I showed in this tutorial to set it to no.5. Hope this helps :)

What if I want to start the page at, say, page 4???
It doesn't work to mark the first 3 pages as "first page".

+Andreas Husfeldt Hi, Thanks for question :). I will creating a tutorial on this in the next 3 weeks if this does not help. What you will need to do is insert a page break (Manual Break) at the end of page 3. Then you need to go into "styles and formatting" and create a new style (right click on one of the the styles and click new). When the new window opens up just name it anything you like (e.g. numbered pages, etc) and click ok. Go to the new page and add the new style by double click the new style you created. Then add the page numbers as I did in the tutorial. Hope this helps :)

Hello, I will do a video on this later today or tomorrow, but in for now. You need to add page number (Insert > page number) and they type "of" next to it. You then need to add a page count (Insert > fields > page count). That should be it, hope it helps :)

I really need to do an update for this tutorial. In the meantime you can create a new style like in the video and then add a manual page break (Intsert > More Breaks > manual page break), select your style and tick the box for start page number at and then select number two. Hope this helps
