I used to drool over cars and admire the craftmenship, but praise God the most beautiful and breath taking material thing I own is now a worn out bible my father gave me that was handed down thru the family that I'm ashamed I allowed to gather dust. Much love brother Denlinger and thank you for this video

Mine is one published by World, thumb index, center references, gilded and very flexible, no telling what the binding is made of, dark burgundy in color but the special thing about it is that the paper used was made at the local paper plant in town. It was given to me by a lifelong friend that worked at the plant almost his whole life and when the plant shut down, knew where to get one made with their paper. Both he and the mill are both gone but the Bible carries on. It will go to my wife who stood by me through thick and thin all these years but the most important thing about this Book are the notes and phrases underlined and comments made about my relationship with Jesus Christ. Even so come, Lord Jesus!

I truely recommend reading, euery day the 1611 facſimile. Many feel it is iuſt foꝛ ſhow, but there is ſomething different and ſpecial with reading the oꝛiginal. The woꝛds in the old language and ſpelling enter into you differently, the font too. It is hard to put into woꝛds exacly what is better, but it does indeed enter into the being differently and moꝛe completely in the fuller moꝛe complete language vſed in 1611. So much ſo that I haue ſince ſought out how to type vſing theſe olde characters and ſpellings. The 1611 alſo has the amperſand ſymbol "&" in many places. Which has a meaning moꝛe than iuſt "and". "And per ſe and" is how it was once read when you ſaw "&". That is to ſay "and and ſpecifically and" as if to giue added impoꝛtance to the thing which follows the & ſymbol, that the thing following it is equally impoꝛtant oꝛ poſſibly moꝛe impoꝛtant than the thing that came befoꝛe the &.
They doe make a ſlightly ſmaller verſion of the 1611 that is cheaper than the one you haue, and that is cheaper than all the other Bibles featured in this video that is ſtill a facſimilie, iuſt pꝛinted at 3/4 the oꝛiginal ſize.
I haue a CBP platinum edition bible with water buffalo as you ſhow in the video, but they meſſed vp the red lettering in mine ſo at leaſt 2 places in the booke of Iohn where Ieſus is ſpeaking it is black when it ſhould be red. I did tell them about it and they ſaid they would fix ſubſequent pꝛintings but mine ſtill had the inconſiſtency. I wanted THE Bible that I could hold in my hand, that was iuſt God's woꝛd (no red letter oꝛ obtruſiue references) and did not haue erroꝛs. That is vltimately how I wound vp back at the 1611. Though many claim there are pꝛinting erroꝛs in it, many claim that the alleged erroꝛs are coꝛrect and ſhould not be changed. That God's woꝛd is ſpiritual and that it was pꝛinted the right way firſt. That it was THE Bible that King Iames indeed did authoꝛize and that altering it bꝛought in erroꝛs and coꝛruption with euery edit of the KJB.
I definitely recommend ſpending at leaſt a moneth reading nothing but the 1611, it changes euen how you read the text out loud and think about the woꝛds. I know that might ſound farre out, but it is ſomething one iuſt has to ſee foꝛ themſelues.
    * alſo I know the 1611 has references which I ſaid aboue I did not want, but foꝛ whateuer reaſon in the 1611, the ſymnols vſed within the text I doe not find obtruſiue as the letters and numbers ſcattered thꝛoughout modern editions of the KJB. It vſes ſymbols in a way that does not crowd the text and the ſymbols themſelues are not vſed elſewhere, ſo I doe not loſe any intimacy with the text in hauing to mentally hurdle the reference letters and numbers of modern editions.
There is ſomething ſpecial to the 1611 Holy Bible. Euen though moſt who tout the 1611 tend to be heretical, euen in coꝛe doctrines, neuertheleſſe, there is ſomething to that booke.

Ive got an CBP turquoise hand size edition. Shipped from the US to the Netherlands, took like 1.5 month but im very happy with it. It has the exact same textblock as the Cambridge. Even with the extra shipping costs its cheaper to buy one at CBP (€100 with shipping) than the official cambridge (€230 from Cambridge). One extra thing I love about the CBP is that is says Authorized King James on the spine. btw brother I guess you had to kill a Yeti for this video? ;)

My ancestor John Alden was the ship's carpenter and cooper when the Mayflower left England in 1620 and landed at what would become Plymouth Colony. John brought a copy of the 1611 King James Bible with him and it remains in the family. He married Priscilla Mullins, a teenage passenger on the Mayflower and they had ten children. The Alden House remains in Duxbury, a short distance from Plymouth in Massachusetts and now is a museum where John's Bible can be seen. Praise God!

This man also held many prominent positions in the early Massachusetts Bay Colony, with that being said, he was more than likely a trinitarian Calvinist, so according to this ministry your ancestor was a heretic who is in Hell now!🤦🏻‍♂️. I recently bought a Schuyler Treveris and it is indeed a very nice Bible to read out of. I'd say the best as far as KJV readers go (although LCBP's paragraph Bible looks nice too). I personally like reading out of the 1611 KJV the most though, but the Treveris is definitely worth it!

Greetings to you. I appreciate your video and enjoyed very much seeing some of your awesome KJB's. Thank you. Recently, our area experienced a major power outage for a duration, and my CBP Turquoise (also known as the Presentation Bible) facsimile of the KJB comforted me beyond measure, and I sat to read where and when there was light. It truly felt as though the Lord Jesus shone a light on every verse. And then when we finally went grocery shopping again later I ran into someone else who experienced the very same thing, as though a light illuminated every verse. I was amazed as we talked and the parallels we experienced during that time. This particular Bible I have actually (I love Bibles) was a discounted return of some kind, as it must have been bumped on a corner, but it only seems to accentuate the yapp on that corner--a beautiful accident...gorgeous black lambskin with black letter only and nice white paper. Per what you said about a real paper Bible, I totally agree. Why would anyone want to rely on their device being charged up by their car battery at such a time? The feeling would definitely prevail, that is, not to use it too much and conserve the charge. As for me, as well, I love CBP's facsimiles, such as Cambridge formats as a Turquoise or a Cameo, and fairly confident that these Bibles made from facsimiles (from decades back) are not altered at all and very reliable. Perhaps the only thing they might do is enlarge or reduce the page size to make hand sized, medium sized, or large Bibles. They have other choices and all very reliable KJB's. Also, an easy solution if a person wants to put their paper Bible in the backpack or tote bag and go anywhere or travel, etc., and weather is not known...I believe a large Ziploc plastic bag will keep most Bibles from getting water stains. It is amazing how a plastic zip will keep the Bible clean and easily usable, even if in a suitcase. No need to search for and recharge a device wherever one goes.

Of course it can ! It is a translation of man, very much unlike the guidance God gave the writers of Scripture as written in the autographs. Men Make Mistakes, and the mistakes in the Translation of the text of the KJV is evidence to anyone who compares the Greek text of the Textus Receptus against the text of the King James translation. if you are not aware of the presence of translation errors then it is clear that you have not conducted such comparison.
The KJV is good and if you follow its basic teachings then you can live a life honoring to God !!! But it is most certainly not perfect.
it like a good preacher who bold proclaims the gospel and the way to life a God honoring life. follow his teaching and exposition of the Bible and God will bless you.
But as good as the good preacher is, you know your preacher is not perfect.
      Be Well, DZ

I own a schuyler just like yours but it’s personal size. I love the layout of the text! Easy to read and the drop caps remind me of the 1611 layout. Like you, my only complaint is the cross on the front. I really wish they would have left the cover blank instead. I do not like having a catholic symbol on my King James Bible.

Thank you for this information. I have a little bit different of a situation, because I can only read things in Braille. If you have seen the size of a Braille Bible, you would understand that it is hardly portable lol. I used to have one years ago, but regretfully we donated it, because I never read it, but only the times that I took whatever volume was necessary for that Sunday school class when I went to a Baptist church building. Here's something interesting to know. The King James version in Braille is 18 volumes long. The new King James version has 20 volumes. So I can literally say that it speaks volumes as to why the King James version is the perfect word of God.

Excellent video. Concur with your assessment for sure. A few things I have learned about these KJBs:
    1. Your red RL Allan is called a Longprimer. It has an Oxford edition. Of all the Bibles you showed in the video, this is the one I have avoided because of the textural criticism of the KJ text just like the new versions in the margins. I find this much more offensive than the Jerusalem cross on the Schuyler.
    2. The CBP, Cambridge, and the Schuyler you showed all have the same Cambridge edition text (spellings). The only difference that I have found is the Cambridge Turquoise has an uppercase "S" for Spirit in 1 John 5:8. The CBPs and the Schuyler has the lower case "s" and thus what some call a Pure Cambridge Edition.
    3. The Jerusalem cross may pre-date the Catholics who adopted it. One understanding of its meaning is it representing the Word (uppercase) large cross in the middle (Jesus Christ) and the word (lowercase) with the four smaller crosses representing the 4 gospels. While it would have been a preference with me if they left the Jerusalem cross off the Schuyler, it really does not bother me. One of the best KJB for sure. I find the Jerusalem cross less of a distraction than that phallic symbol on top of the church building inside the CBP editions. But that really does not bother me either along with the Catholic stuff in the original 1611 outside the text. Because the text itself is the preserved word of God.

The winner for me, it's a Cambrige Concord red letter in goatskin with indexing (not the wide margin you got). The size is perfect to go with you everywhere, and the font is just the right one for reading. I'm a highlighting freak, and the paper of the Cambridge Concord is one of the best for magic markers. In other bibles you pass through the paper to other page, but NOT with the Cambridge. And in that bible (and for me, this is one of the best things of the Cambridge Concord), you got a clean text with no letters of references in the middle of the text, just the number of the verse at the center with the reference in a separate column. I don't like to read the entire page just to find a letter in the middle of the text. CBP are great quality for a low cost, but the best for me is this one, the Cambridge Concord goatskin red letter with indexing (no wide margin), it's one of the best blocks out there, great for reading, highlighting and to go with you everywhere. I'm waiting the catching up of the body of Christ with that KJV bible, and I'm gonna get another one for back up. Hope you keep making this KJV bible reviews.

    • @ChantreJ

    • @davegarciaofficial
      @davegarciaofficial ปีที่แล้ว

Man I have tried and tried with the Concord. “On paper” it seems like it’s the perfect text block. But when I actually try reading it it becomes tedious because the font is just a little too small and cramped. I too love the clean text with no reference superscripts, but again it’s just too small/cramped.
For me the Cambridge turquoise referenced in the video is the best KJV block in existence. The spacing and line leading are just incredible. The text breeeeeathes. AND better yet, Church Bible publishers makes a slightly smaller “hand size” edition with a 9.5 font making it the perfect size :)

Behold how the tide has turned. Dr. Ruckman made note in his church history tapes of how the Romans touted their fine (false) Bibles on vellum sheets, all professionally and exquisitely made; meanwhile, the poor (and true and faithful) children of God were copying the scriptures on cheap newspaper (papyrus) and passing it around everywhere. Thank God that he knows our hearts and who belongs to him.

I know you are staunchly anti-Trinitarian, but have you checked out TBS bibles? I have the Windsor Text version and I love mine. No references, ironed calfskin cover and *beautiful* paper. I love my CBP bibles but the “Turquoise” font combined with the self pronouncing text gets to be too distracting for me at times. The Windsor is very easy on the eyes, truly a joy to hold and read.

Beautiful Bible - I would love to the get the Super Deluxe version of that, but it is more expensive, as well as the facsimile 1769. I prefer to sit down and read a paper Bible - and it is NOT our Paper Pope, as the Catholics say, but the Written Word of the Living God, who giveth us all things richly to enjoy. I will use the online Bible software when I am working on the computer, but for actual Bible reading and study, it has to be something I can hold in my hands and mark with a Bic four colour pen - I personally prefer not to use the highlighters because they bleed through the thinner pages. As I noted elsewhere, I cannot stand the Bibles that come with so called better renderings, so I just cover then over with that correction tape - but it would be good to get a Bible that does not even have that in the first place, yet here in New Zealand we seem to be stuck with the selection we have, and I need Super Giant Print, so I go with the Holman at 16pt, and I can read that. If there are Bibles actually printed by King James Believers, that would be good, but getting from overseas is expensive, but it is worth saving up for. The LORD will provide - Jehovah Jireh.

Brother Bryan, do you think that Christians like myself who know beyond the shadow of a doubt that the Apocrypha is most definitely *_not_* inspired Scripture should actually read the Apocrypha? or do you think that messing with it at all is too dangerous due to the fact that it contains false doctrines? I ask this because I've heard that books like Maccabees cover some good history and I was thinking about reading some of it out of my 1611 KJV for that purpose.
Btw, I would love to see you do more Bible reviews in the future, always loved watching King James Bible reviews.

Brother, too right about getting a paper Bible - I prefer overall to sit down and read from an actual, physical Bible, which I can also make notes in, although there is not much room on mine, but at least it is Super Giant Print (16 point). Sure, I might go online to get some helps where it is useful, like if I am writing a sermon and I can copy and paste text and such into it from various sites, that is fine, but when all is said and done,, there is nothing like reading a proper paper Bible. Now, imagine they had computers in 1611, what would the Bible have come out as then ? But praise be to GOD that we have plenty of Bibles to go around, and it is no crime to collect many ones, because one is not depriving people, since some old Bibles I have bought are in such good condition, as they were sitting on the shelf not being read, so who is missing out ? The Publishers will still continue to print King James Bibles if they think there is a few quid in it.

The King was present physically, offering the Jews the kingdom, the gospels are doctrinally the Old Testament, under the law (Hebrews 9:16). The doctrinal statements the Lord Jesus said in the gospels are for back then and also for the Millenial Kingdom coming after His return, He will be back again reigning physically and since faith is no longer there because He will be manifest, a works-based salvation comes back into play. Notice how in Matthew 25, at the judgment of the nations after the Time of Jacob's Trouble, the Lord judges people on their works and not on their faith. Think of the "church age" we are in right now as a special time gap because the Jews rejected their Messiah and salvation has become available for everyone, Jew and Gentile alike, thanks to the Lord's finished work on the cross. However, all the Scriptures are for our instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16-17), even if our salvation right now doesn't depend on our works.

QUESTION: Hi Brian I really hope you do see this. I have one issue with the KJV, why is that words that refer to Jesus not capsized? For example: For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be on His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isa 9:6 MKJV)

@@jannievandeventer8750 Not every reference to Jesus Christ in the O.T. has to be capitalized. The KJV is perfect in every way, because the LORD made it that way.
Proverbs 8:8 (KJV) All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.
The reason why bible perversions like that MKJV do that is to make you think that the KJV is false and it's right.
Deuteronomy 4:2 (KJV) Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
Proverbs 30:5-6 (KJV) Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

@@AnthonyTuminello thank you for the reply, it's not only the OT but also NT also. Let me explain, don't get me wrong, I love the KJV and read it much more than my own mother tongue which is Afrikaans. I think here the problem lies with in our translation to Afrikaans. We have 2 versions, number one, Afrikaans 1933/53 version which is the correct, direct translation of the KJV, only we capsize every pronoun refering to God out of respect and reference to Him, Jesus. The other version of Afrikaans is 1983, which is the corrupt version translated from the NIV. So there you have it, I have adopted the KJV because of my understanding of English and this is afterall the international language the whole world understands. Here is a example of how a text look like in our Afrikaans language 1953 version: John 3:16. Want so lief het God die wêreld gehad, dat Hy sy eniggebore Seun gegee het, sodat elkeen wat in Hom glo, nie verlore mag gaan nie, maar die ewige lewe kan hê.

@@jannievandeventer8750 That sounds good for the most part, I would check verses like Isaiah 14:12, 2 Samuel 21:19, 1 John 5:7, etc. just in case of errors. There should be no contradiction in 2 Sam. 21:19, and it should read "Lucifer" in Isaiah 14:12 and not "morning star", so on and so forth.
And yeah that's another thing about the English language, it has become a universal, worldwide language. With that in mind, I recently read this teaching of Samuel Gipp's in one of his books - that the pure and perfect word of God can ONLY be found in the English language (obviously the KJV to be specific), which you can read about here:
      samgipp.com/are-there-perfect-bibles-in-french-german-and-other-languages/
I'd like to know what you think about this idea of his, I personally don't know for sure what I think about it, though it sounds good for the most part. All I know for 100% certainty is that the KJV is the pure and perfect word of God for the English speaking world.
