Man, this game was a complete blessing as my first foray into the Souls franchise and my first PS4 game. I played the first 2 Souls games, but this game gave me a bit more appreciation for it. With any luck, I hope that a sequel to this title is in the works.

I have just finished the second run (ng+, of course) and seeing the PV bar so short makes me feel old someway. I remember how much I hated this game at the beginning. But this is one of those games that you get addicted to! Absolutely loved it 😂
At my first try I got stuck 3 hours for cleric beast. Uninstalled the game, but atmosphere of this game was what made me think that sooner or later I would have had to face it and try again. So I installed it after some months, and platinumed it. And the only bosses I repeated more than 3 times were Rom, Logarius and Gherman. It's a game with many defects in my opinion, but also a lot of good elements. Loved the atmosphere totally. I hope that developers won't rush the lore thing for an eventual sequel
I could have knocked it down sure, but grabbing it would be about another minute or more which is unnecessary considering it's damage compared to the Saw Cleaver. Of course with the optimization considered in the description you could get the Saw Spear instead and keep the same route with a comparable time.
i like the saw spear's transform mode better than the saw cleaver. hunter-man only swings up and down on cleaver's transform mode while saw spear you get a sweep at least
Nat Yongpairojwong you get a sweep with saw cleaver as well, when locked on target, while in trick mode, quickstep left or right and tap R1, you should sweep in with a low horizontal sweep
The one thing in this that bothers me is passing up the madman’s knowledge so you don’t have to bumble into a boss fight to start leveling. That and passing the music box.
An interesting run. This targets the blood stone shards mainly. Although I will say that it's useful to know that R2/L2 can cycle in the menus. So rather than selecting a head piece, pressing O, then navigating to the chest piece, and selecting it, just press R2 while in the head piece menu. Same for items and weaponry. But definitely a good route for starting out. Especially since you run by the girl who gives you the music box, so you have a much better time fighting Father Gascoigne.
Father wasn't too hard for me of course I had a friend about the same experience as me help out but still I could see doing his fight single handedly tbh I had more trouble with the 2 beasts guarding the bridge
I wish I had seen this video when I started Bloodborne yesterday. I spent hours getting through this freaking area as I couldn't get my head around the layout and kept dying. I'll definitely be using this when I start a new playthrough.
When you realise that in all the souls/bloodborne games you can simply run past most mobs and you dont have to kill everything, the game does open up a lot more. You should check out another video of a speedrun that complete the whole game in 30 min simply by running through levels and only fighting bosses
In 10 minutes I was still trying to punch Boss warewolf at Iosefka's clinic dead, because noob didnt know how to equip weapon after dying first time! LUL

This was the first ever soulsborne game I ever touched when it came free on ps plus. I turned the game on and the rest became history. Now I’m here after three years having beat all of them. What a great three years.

Watching this video and I notice that all of what you did in 10 minutes, would have been ~2 or 3 weeks worth of grinding for echoes and shards to even attempt this

xTheNameisEthan I never heard of something like that. I think that in the 1st playtrhough almost all people that didn't know you have to go to the dream to get a weapon died before reaching the cleric beast. It seems that you are an exception.

My personal tips for anybody You need 16 blood stone shards to get a +3 Weapon at the beginning of the game. The Huntsman guy's drop them occasionally and so does the Werewolfs as well. And you can collect 10 in the area. Unlocking all possible shortcuts in Central Yharnam to navigate the area easier it's a pretty mid size area in the beginning of the game. Lone Survivor is a very good class to start with due to its balance stats and high vitality. Strength should be at 16 so you can use Kirkhammer very early. Do not purchase the Cathedral Key. Talk to Eileen, Little Girl, Alfred, Losefka, Old Grumpy Woman before progressing further. So you don't miss anything. - Keep in mind the awards for the Little Girl questline is mutually exclusive so choose carefully and how you wanna progress the questline.
Tried something similar to test out the Threaded Cane last night and can say I didn't enjoy the cane, so I will try this route tonight with the Saw Cleaver. Second playthrough on New Game only, no NG+ right now.
Cane suck early but if I put some Points in skill and upgrade it it's so op, cane transformation give u other type of damage (better for beasts if I remember good)and it's godlike in pvp (backstep r2 in whip mode)

No its not the same. The one you buy from the messengers has a worse statistics than the one in the sewers. Hunter Set Physical Defense is 270, Thrust is 270 and Bludgeoning is 220, Bloodtinge 270 and Arcane 150. Yharnam Hunter Set, the one from the messengers. Phy. 230 THT 230 BLG 250 BDT 220 ARC 230. However the Yharnam Hunter Set from the messengers looks cooler in my opinion. Cheers.
After having beaten all dark souls games a couple of times i decided to get a console for this game. I did not expect this game to be so much different from dark souls :O
Leaving the ten bullets then coming back for them after getting a gun will net you 20 quicksilver bullets. If you get the quicksilver bullets before getting a gun you only get ten. Let's not forget the saw spear in the sewer.
Probably not for someone who is playing for the first time. It's for creating a new character and jumping straight into unlocking shortcuts and upgrading your weapon. In hindsight I should have progressed the quest lines in the area as well.
T H I C C i started this game pretty recently and i can say just going through the game and learning and making mistakes is a big part of what makes this game fun, definitely pick up the early hunter armor in the sewer especially if you’re having issues with Gascoigne or the Cleric beast
@@TyrantsRemedy just get the music box and get him in a visceral loop by doing it against some gravestone. For the best form, go up the stairs and you can chese most of it's health by doing the same loop against the stair railings, then for the last chunk use molotov.
I have a love hate situation with this damn game I've never played a game of dark souls so I didn't expect that there are no save points in the game and that you lose all of your blood echos if u die but the game does have its moments when I play it

That was impressive. I beat the Cleric Beast on the first try but it took me about 3 days to strengthen up for him.

No its not the same. The one you buy from the messengers has a worse statistics than the one in the sewers.
Hunter Set Physical Defense is 270, Thrust is 270 and Bludgeoning is 220, Bloodtinge 270 and Arcane 150. Yharnam Hunter Set, the one from the messengers. Phy. 230 THT 230 BLG 250 BDT 220 ARC 230. However the Yharnam Hunter Set from the messengers looks cooler in my opinion. Cheers.

Bruh. The amount of time this video could've saved me is angering.
Leaving the ten bullets then coming back for them after getting a gun will net you 20 quicksilver bullets. If you get the quicksilver bullets before getting a gun you only get ten.
Let's not forget the saw spear in the sewer.

This was my first soulsborne game and I gave up my first time playing it because I didn't know about the lever and the ladder in the very beginning

Probably not for someone who is playing for the first time. It's for creating a new character and jumping straight into unlocking shortcuts and upgrading your weapon. In hindsight I should have progressed the quest lines in the area as well.
T H I C C i started this game pretty recently and i can say just going through the game and learning and making mistakes is a big part of what makes this game fun, definitely pick up the early hunter armor in the sewer especially if you’re having issues with Gascoigne or the Cleric beast

@@TyrantsRemedy just get the music box and get him in a visceral loop by doing it against some gravestone. For the best form, go up the stairs and you can chese most of it's health by doing the same loop against the stair railings, then for the last chunk use molotov.

I've never played a game of dark souls so I didn't expect that there are no save points in the game and that you lose all of your blood echos if u die but the game does have its moments when I play it
