If you want to know what lens he is talking about skip to 5:35 - the earlier part just describes what astigmatism is. If you are looking for the best contact then you probably already know what it is.
Excellent video. I'm wrapping up my 10 day trial and just ordered the precision 1 lenses. I agree with everything you said. I can't even tell I'm wearing them and the stability is fantastic. I'm coming out of the aqua comfort plus which we good but I always had issues after a few hours of wearing them and they'd get dry. The precision 1s really are a game changer.
Copper vision just discontinued hydra soft toric lenses which were perfect for my eyes. I had been wearing that brand for over 20 years so unhappy right now. I have a high degree of Astigmatism in my eyes. They told me some patients are successful with Biofinity toric. Just so upset just wanted to share
So I have been using the biotru Bausch and Lomb oneday for astigmatism lenses and they’re not working at all for me. I RARELY get a clear view. Like 5 min out of my full 15 hour day or so. I’m trying these ones out and I’ll come back and post about them when I get them!
I've been wearing the Acuvue lenses for almost 10 years now and was just told they don't make them anymore! 😢My Dr. says the only other option is Biofinity XR.
I dont understand why every eye doctor i go to tries to change me out of the brand i've been using for years. Air Optix for Astigmatism has always been the only contacts that ever felt comfortable to me. Recently my doctor had me try Ultra for astig. and they are so uncomfortable. Constantly have white stringy stuff coming out of my eye and feels like dry patches on the lens. Why do doctors constantly try to get me off Air Optix if they work fine for me and i didn't complain about them?
I agree Tanya. I will always leave patients in their current lenses if happy, as long as they are fitting well and giving you acceptable vision. Secondly, I never have patients change to another lens without trying them out first. Very aggravating indeed.
@@JoelHayden i wish alcon would upgrade the air optix to be more clear and less glare. The options are so limited for us with astigmatism :( are there other brands that have a "Smart Shield" type coating besides air optix?? So far everything else i tried make my eyes produce alot of grit and discharge
What is the highest cylider that it goes up to. The only one that actually goes up to 2.75 is the Bio true one day for astigmatism. I am happy because they really are good. But so many clinics do not even know that it goes up that high.
@@JoelHayden Thank you for your prompt reply! Really appreciate it. A few years ago, I switched from a monthly Alcon Air Optic for Astigmatism (amazing contacts btw!) to the Dailies AquaComfort Plus Toric contacts (hygiene reasons). They are also great but sometimes these contacts are a bit unstable and less comfortable for me. I will now try out the Precision One for Astigmatism and the Dailies Total 1 For Astigmatism. Price-wise it is a big difference between the last two contacts. Any recommendations? :)
@@cm2687 The Precision1 contacts? I’m quite happy with the stability, only when I put them in, it takes a bit of time for the contacts to stabilize. Hydrating during the day can also avoid eg dry eyes, which was my main issue. Which contacts do you recommend?

Totally have no clue where to start when purchasing contacts, I have astigmatism and some dry eye during spring. 😳

Thanks so much for the feedback Matthew! I absolutely agree. Alcon hit a home run with this one!

Awesome Jared, look forward to it!
the bc for precision 1 is only 8.5 and my bc is 8.7, can I still order them?
Imo although the Dailies total 1s for astigmatism have been released, the Precesion 1s are still a better lens

Huh? They do make Acuvue for astigmatism. Try ordering online. I’ve seen them and I’m about to try the dailies soon as they arrive to my optometrist

Please are they stable or blurry ?
The Dailies Total 1 For Astigmatism are released! What about these contacts? Better than PrecisionOne for Astigmatism? What do you think?
I LOVE THEM! Wear them myself and about to make an updated video. They are now the best!

They are very comfortable but horrible stability. My vision blurred everytime I blinked.

They are trash in my opinion … LOVED the non Toric kind… but these toric ones … thumbs down! Precision 1s are better
How about the best contact lenses for the combination of astigmatism and presbyopia? 👁👁
Great idea Nofirst!
I’d be interested in trying the Precision lenses
Asked to order you a 10 day supply Kim. Let you know when they are in....
Thank you! Looking forward to trying them
