Yessir! At 8:42 a cabover starts to make its appearance and what an appearance it is...wow. I have never seen a Dodge L-1000 series look so good and never have I seen one look better. Somebody has an incredible eye and a remarkable imagination to come up with what was done with this truck. Absolutely outstanding and big props to whoever it was who designed that bad boy.
That's a great video i for one love to see these old trucks especially when they have been restored with much love and care God bless and stay safe out there 🙋♂️ 🇬🇧
Such an underrated truck I would love it if these were still in use today...but I'm still glad some people take them and turn them into absolute beast machines
My favorite is the cabover tilted forward with a pallet on it's end propping up the cab while the driver worked underneath. Exactly what you'd see on my property.
Awesome video, Seeing all those Freightliners brings back memories in that I worked for awhile at the Portland, Oregon Freightliner truck plant installing exhaust exhaust systems at midline before chassis paint. The muffins and stacks where installed at finish cab after chassis paint. towards the end that one blue cabover KW started , it sounded like the connecting rods where about to come out the side of the block.
Same here. But boy do i hate hot rodding truck drivers, diesels are for work not burnouts. I grew up on a farm, i love diesel fumes in the morning but i kniw you cannot treat a diesel like a hor rod. Its meant to out on thousands of hours. We had a 12.1L twin turbo in our 4wd tractor, we sold it with 5500 hours still running like a top. Theres a drunk kid who hauls for his family farm. I was passing him one morning and he put the pedal down and i was going 95mph to pass him. So tired if all the diesel hot rod idiots in town. Not a spec of dirt or scratch, no hitches, never pulling a trailer. These guys drive their HD diesel trucks to their cubicle or office job. If they do pull they pull a camper, which i can pull wity my 08 hemi Aspen. Diesel dummies
@captainotto call me old-fashioned, exactly what you said nobody could have described what a cabover from a different point of view. I love the box look, and it's simplicity.👍👍
At 1:11, much as I love the look of them, a cabover's only good point is it's ability to make tight turns thanks to its short wheelbase. What then is the point of this truck? The one at 6:20 is the same and how do you see out of it?
What a great video, these machines are amazing. Cabovers use to scare the devil out of me & in some cases still do but I still love them. I just keep out of their way especially those mad face ones :P
Dual air cleaners and stacks, cabovers,Alcoas, stretched! 😎👍! I apologize but I'm not digging trucks smokin the tires. Love the little black Frieght Shaker
There was a bunch of drivers firing up cold engines and reving them out the gate. Specially that blue one around 7:10 that thing barley quit start up knock and was getting reved. That's great on a engine.
Is there any advantage to stretching the frame like that?? Seems to me it would make it more difficult to back up. And cost more to put on a boat to ferry across to some island destinations. (Per foot charge)
The only time I'd own a cabover is a Kenny cabover like that red one @1:11. Freightshakers make some good looking ones too. Better work on my Boomhauer impression just in case
Man, that Dodge L-1000 is mind-blowing! Someone turned the ugliest COE ever into an ABSOLUTE BEAST! Well done to whomever created that beauty! I drove one in the late 60's early 70's and it was dog food ugly. I was proud of it being only 18-20 years old but it was still ugly.
Brings back memories. My 1st truck was a 1973 Kenworth K100 8V71 , 13 speed. It was fun to drive !!

And the Ford
Agreed, they were usually beaters. That was stunning. One of the best trucks and I would love to see inside
@@BigGeorgiaBoi vv,
That had to have been the best looking ugly truck I've ever seen.
My son is one of the biggest fans of COE-Trucks!! Thanks for sharing this video.
I love see old trucks thank you for showing this beautiful video
It's back to my outlaw teenage trucking years in this one?! Very nice clip. Appreciate it alot.
Cabovers looks cooler than long noses...became a fan of 1987 Freightliner FLA 9664 after Terminator 2.
I prefer Peterbilt and Kenworth over Freightliner, but those are cool too.
That's a great video i for one love to see these old trucks especially when they have been restored with much love and care
God bless and stay safe out there 🙋♂️ 🇬🇧
I am sure, Greta is watching you. 😁
How dare you ! 😁
F greta
Hey Greta, watch this. This is what the world needs more of. Oily detroits
That black and green Cabover at 6:03 looked gangster as all hell!
Nothing better than the sound of an old Detroit, wish they still made them today!
OMG. GREAT VIDEO JUST LOVE LISTENING TO THE CABOVERS SOME REALLY GREAT FOOTAGE. I CAN WATCH THIS OVER AND OVER THX
This is music to my ears ... and candy for my eyes. Thx for this dose of the good stuff.
The KW n driver at 1:10 makes me appreciate the skills behind these beautiful machines
Such an underrated truck I would love it if these were still in use today...but I'm still glad some people take them and turn them into absolute beast machines
Infact, they are still being used in the U.S like the freight liner argosy and the new K.W that just came out
6:30 or so, the two-stroke with straight pipes sounds awesome with the jake on, as they always do.
My favorite is the cabover tilted forward with a pallet on it's end propping up the cab while the driver worked underneath. Exactly what you'd see on my property.
I've seen quite a few Freightliners painted like that. Factory paint, I guess.
Then you must have a death wish!
All I can say those were the day's when we were true Truck Driver's !!!!!!!!
The first Freightliner was the best sounding, my opinion
8:58 That L1000 Dodge was my favorite, cool video!
Love them screaming Detroit's! My father always said you had to drive them like you're mad at them.

As a retired driver, thank you.
To me the Cabover looks tougher than the conventional trucks nowadays😁
These trucks look soo beautiful, and their engine's are better👍
It's not just tougher; they look angry. Ready to kill. Especially the old Frieght cabovers. They look only a couple steps removed from Mad Max.
@captainotto call me old-fashioned, exactly what you said nobody could have described what a cabover from a different point of view. I love the box look, and it's simplicity.👍👍
The kenworth cabover jake braking in australia sounds really nice and wich youtube channel was that jake braking kenworth cabover from

Dual air cleaners and stacks, cabovers,Alcoas, stretched! 😎👍! I apologize but I'm not digging trucks smokin the tires. Love the little black Frieght Shaker
One question from germany: Why is there sometimes sooooo much space betweeen the wheels? For example minute 06:16.
Thanks!
Some guys stretch the frame for longer wheel Base
Serious Trucks To Get The Job Done.

that blue two stroke just sounds bad ass.
There was a bunch of drivers firing up cold engines and reving them out the gate. Specially that blue one around 7:10 that thing barley quit start up knock and was getting reved. That's great on a engine.
Énorme gros big up depuis la France 🇫🇷 👍 👌 💪 😎
So kool 😎 👌
Is there any advantage to stretching the frame like that??
Seems to me it would make it more difficult to back up. And cost more to put on a boat to ferry across to some island destinations. (Per foot charge)
It apparently makes the truck ride in a more smooth fashion. Makes sense when you think about it.
Handle 100% better.
Why is this 0:29 make racing like escaping from police behind..?
I like that red Kenworth cabover
Need these sounds on ats🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
Never will be like the old trucks.
Cabovers ❤️
アメリカントレーラーの中では一番好き💘
Wild !
I LOVE DA SILVER PETE WIT STAINLESS TRAILER IN FIELD SNORTIN . THEN LEAVING LEFT TURN PERFECT SOUND 🔊
That's my favorite long vehicle
I like cabovers but why the all the exhaust smoke on some of these tractors?
The only time I'd own a cabover is a Kenny cabover like that red one @1:11. Freightshakers make some good looking ones too.
Better work on my Boomhauer impression just in case
Top demais esses caminhões
Awesome
I've actually saw a few of these kind of trucks not to long ago while me and my family were on our way into Cleveland.
Awesome trucks
Nothin'like the sound of a DETROIT DIESEL. Nothin'.
Especially the 12V92! 🤘
@6:30 is the best sounding truck engine.
Detroit two stroke 12V92!
🔥🔥🔥 🤟
Boa tarde na santa paz de Deus tudo tranquilo por aí irmão Deus abençoe vcs todos aí poderosamente 🙌
Lindos caminhaoes parabéns 🙌😁
Why do some of the trucks have 4-stacks? Are 2 of them for a generator?
Silver Peterbilt 352 my favorit
Было бы интересно прокатиться на таком безкапотнике!
Bad ass
Your headline is correct they are bad, when you have to live in one of them for a living, you will begin to understand why they are not made anymore
Thanks for NOT showing the turquoise one you used the picture of to entice us to view this video.
The wheelbase on the cabover henworth 💀 1:07
BAD AZZ TRUCKS!
hell yeah woohoo ❤
Getting Maximum Overdrive flashbacks!
Cabovers are the Harleys of trucks
Nice 👌
You sure can tell which are the old Detroit's when you hear them.
Hope these guys ride in the convoy
Solo tengo una duda el motor 8v71 es igual de grande que el Cummins o el cat? O son del mismo tamaño
Depends on the engine, but on average, for the same power output, the cat/Cummins would be larger
Green girl happy car😄
