- Where to see salmon in Scotland?
The Falls of Feugh is one of the best spots in Scotland to view the salmon jumping up the mighty waters. Hanging from a bridge above the falls there is a spectacular view of the action. This spot is located minutes walk distance from Banchory, Scotland. There is also a free car park next to the bridge.
These amazing animals manage to jump meters out of the water and climb the ferocious waters soaring down to return to their birthplace. It's amazing to watch these tiny creatures perform such a spectacular task.

@@dertob6754 not atlantic salmon only a small percentage die, scottish salmon can spawn twice! but i believe pacific salmon die after spawning

Why humans don't make their way easier by doing something so that salmon can easily go their homes
In the Pacific NW of the U.S we have fish ladders on sites like this to get the fish over the falls faster which also aids in the salmon spawning time and the fish health.
The longer to time and struggles to make it to spawn fish do die then never get to lay eggs to make to the new generation .

There is 1 successful fish for every 16 million who try. That might sound bad, but most years there are 18,460 trillion fish trying, and so about 3 billion get upstream.
Jacam oh no wonder why they die after getting up stream too many fish.

mark kelly I was there this year. I did see pretty good size salmon there. It not about how many times. It weather you have patience or not.
Thanks for the words of wisdom, not! I know more about being patient more than you will ever know so don't patronize ! Plus I have been to these falls many times and have never seen any decent numbers of salmon or sea trout get up and over the falls..

In canada they do it in October
We have different fish and so different months in Scotland. Some jump in Bloontbary, but most start jumping in Ketchupary. The best jumper gets a weekend in a lean to at the Temple of Fiddes.

@@Zenn464 there is so many fake meat options which are delicious. You can get fake bacon, chicken, fish, beef, turkey, and probably a lot more. Some options don't taste as good as meat, i admit, but you should try many different versions. Some fake chicken nuggets I had tasted just like the meat ones I used to have! There is fake burger meat which if you have the right one for you, is delicious.
I haven't found a bacon I like yet but I'm sure there will be one I like. I have became a vegetarian because I do not want to be eating an animal. Some options won't be like meat at all, but don't give up. Other options taste just like it. I had some quorn sausages, absolutely scrumptious! The burgers and sausages even work on barbecues! Giving up meat was hard for me, it took a very long time, but I am glad I did. I love animals, and I didn't want to be a hypocrite by eating them. Even if you don't give up meat, I reccomend trying a few different versions of fake meat.
I see, that's good for you. At least you won't be eating the animals that you love anymore. You see, i live in a countryside and it's pretty isolated here, i doubt I'd be able to buy those fake meats and might cost a lot when i can just butcher our neighbors chicken

I feel the same as you but we can't only think about people fishing for them, there are worse human made things many salmon have to face, like dams! They block the salmons way upstream and usually the salmon can't get past the dams so they die by jumping into the dams or by infections because of them being in freshwater!
In this day of advanced technology,perhaps the Scottish Govt.could consider aiding the tired Salmons to get to their destination.

'Especially good after good dry spell with low river levels then short spell of heavy rain to raise the river level (don't want too much rain, just enough to raise levels by 2-3 foot is best), you can see very nice salmon runs September, October (best month) and November. But sometimes December can also be good.
