Yeah, I feel ya. All of Solar’s near misses (which are too numerous to count) would have been forgotten if he won the world title.
Still, very happy for Gabe. He’s been at it for a while too.

The final nail - Late baneling speed, it was all over then. You could see he was devastated.

The way he moves his zerglings and banelings all in one control group - he's nowhere near the level of control that the top tier Zergs like Rogue, Dark, Serral, Reynore have. It was his match to lose.

Gabe definitely did make some mistakes, and a pretty major one in game 4 with that poor tank movement towards the end getting his entire army wiped, but on the whole in terms of intelligent play Gabe outplayed Solar in the games. Gabe was the deserving winner.

@@Qladstone You are right, but Gabe made the proper adjustment in game 5. He made ghosts instead of relying upon lots of tanks, which is the proper response against viper / lurker. Of course, late baneling speed is what lost the game for Solar, but we must give Big Gabe his due credit.
