Blame it on SM. Since WayV's debut, they have always treated them poorly. Give them Chinese songs but no promotion on a major platform in China. The Chinese were unfamiliar with them, and Koreans and people all across the world did not listen to Chinese songs. Barely have a stage in both China and Korea, and they are always treated worse than other units. Many supporters are dissatisfied with how they are treated and departed. SM did not assist them flourish, and they were never properly promoted. WayV has no chance of success based on how SM promotes them.

Honestly, I feel like a mom who wants to reassure the boys that they're really doing well but unfortunately they can't control every aspect of things (in their case, promotions). Whether they make it really big or stay where they are, I'd like to tell them that what matters most is that they did their best and those who know them can see it and love them dearly😩❤️
its the politics issue why they didnt get promoted in china. thats why they have to translate their songs into english/korean when they have korean stages. but yeah, even tho the issue, SM should have think of something for them to be known. blame it on SM.

I think WayV really saved the song themselves, when I heard the demo it felt a bit meh as well so I'm not surprised that the boys were voicing out their concerns/opinions there. And now hearing the final release, I did realise especially what Kun and Ten had said about the strings at the last verse, and Ten's idea about showing more dynamics in the song between verses were really reflected - for that I am pleased that they were addressed and it really worked well on this track, and it is one of my favourite tracks now. Also seeing the boys record it, I can really hear the emotions they put into it so much and really see how great they are and have always been, so happy how this album turned out. The only problem I had was the stupid company belittling them and poorly promoting them every time.

WayV is a group of 6 extremely talented, hard working and multi-faceted men that have been unfortunate enough to be delegated to a poor management that does not know how to promote them and blames their lackluster results on the boys. i hope the boys realize how proud wayzenni are of them, and that despite staff’s terrible job at promoting them we will do our best to see you succeed every time, as much as we can (considering they get 35% of what the other units do. not even the bare minimum 🙃). SM promoted On My Youth SLIGHTLY more than past releases, and they out sold themselves five times over. More and more targeted promotion would have made On My Youth a million seller. The boys are most definitely not to blame for that. It’s about time for a concert, not just a showcase, and more international promotion. Wayv’s global appeal is massive.

Well... If Label V didnt drag their feet with WAYV, Ten wouldnt have said what he said. Wayv is actually well known and loved, around the world, but they arent showcased as much as the other NCT groups, and we all can gather as to why. So the speech that the lady gave in the beginning, to me sounded like a back-handed compliment. I love this song. Kun's idea to add string instruments to the song was brilliant, and yes, it helped to give WayV's music its own identity. When Kun talked about their new album (OMY), "All songs are good," during their ment at the SMTOWN Jakarta last year, he truly meant it. I hope SM give them a concert soon. They really deserve it. This song is so complex and it was amazing seeing them dive in and create this masterpiece. I realized how difficult it actually must have been to sing such a unique song. The way Xiaojun’s vocals just hit the spot. And TEN. His voice brings it all together. And i think Hendery’s tone fit this vibe soooo perfectly!

And can i give a suggestion to the production and marketing teams, i know maybe your intention is good, to go with a song that is easy to sing with. But sometimes it’s not only about the works, there are tons of singers out there who have easy listening songs just really really good songs, but maybe not all of it becoming a hit. Because it is also important to know how to let people know that we have a good song, what can we offer to them, and how to promote it. So please it’s not about wayv not working well enough, not known enough, but it is also important to know the group, what they have, their styles, their characteristics as a group, AND GIVE A PROPER PROMOTION, that’s actually of the most important things. Also because wayv is part of the company you guys need to show that you are happy and confidence with the group that you made, that is also will make a good impact to the people who see the group, if the company who made them don’t even show their support to their own artist, people will think “why should we be bothered to support them” i really hope the marketing team know better about this! Tbh, at first kinda felt a bit sad hearing the staff's comments but I do get where they're coming from. Thank goodness they reworked the song coz I'm with Ten that the demo was a bit too 'down'.
And I knew that this song was challenging vocally but to see them record it, just wow. Xiaojun of course was amazing but Ten just keeps on improving leaps and bounds. He sounds so good. Def looking forward to his solo on Feb 13.
I get where they are coming from in terms of the title song choice, however I didnt like how that staff was lecturing about the other stuff, that didnt sit right with me, like stop gaslighting them into thinking they arent lacking anything… i was annoyed about that part… 😢i mean its only SM who isnt doing their job properly
@@Irene-ws9kk Def agree that SM's promotion for WayV is lacking. A bit surprised that they included that staff's comment in the vid and didn't remove it. Coz based on the majority of the comments here; SM is in the wrong for not managing the group properly.
WayV excels in all aspects but if the promotion is non-existent how can they compete with other singers. Esp the ones that SM seems to favour with their back-to back promotions, comebacks, etc.
I mean their fans and other media promote them more than SM does.

The reason why the public doesn’t “know” them despite WayV showing great performances and discography is because SM does not promote them as much as the other units or at least in their main market.
Love how WayV got to share their inputs in how to make the song better and have the WayV identity.
Xiaojun’s vocals are crazyyyy! Also love how they’re making use of Hendery’s lower registers more and the vocal director really seems to like it.

it's clear that they put a lot of effort into this. that's what strikes me the most. it's difficult to have a break-through so many years after debuting and you can tell that they're feeling the pressure. but ultimately it doesn't matter how good the music or performances are if the company doesn't find the right promotion strategy for their unusual situation. they're in an awkward situation between chinese and korean/ "international" market, which are not very compatible. until the company somehow resolves that they'll have to keep doing twice the work as others while gaining half the results. they're definitely making progress and i hope all the hard work will fully pay off one day! ♡´･ᴗ･`♡

I think On My Youth is really suitable for Ten’s vocal range . He is physically more relaxed in the studio for this song and his delivery was so so good. Both the singing and rapping is amazing. Excellent job my all-rounder bias 💜💜💜💜💜

Wayv are incredible performers and are loved around the world! They have performances that prove this! They literally did their job incredibly, and then had to do someone else's job to make the music sound more like them and that's not fair. Let alone the gaslighting, when the company should be promoting them better. That staff member should be ashamed.
Anyways, On My Youth is a hit, my favorite parts are the ones that were suggested by Kun, Ten, and YangYang, it really is a hit! And deserved better promotions, distributions, member album versions and everything honestly.

This song makes me wanna SOB, ITS SO GOOD!!! It’s so emotional, and it’s in my head on repeat a lot of the time. I love WayV, they were the first group I discovered on my own, and home to my very first bias and bias wrecker. Can’t wait to see them in person at some point this year. WayV, YOU ARE MY VISION!!!
I'm once again amazed at their hard work. They're so attentive to detail and their input is so adequate and helpful, like Ten asking already on the performance, Kun dissecting the structure of the song, Yangyang thinking in the balance of it, Hendery stopping to rap only to go to practice the dance immediately, Winwin analysing the song through WayV's discography and Xiaojun making his parts even greater and more emotional than it was intended with his ideas. I feel so proud watching them work and deliver, WayV is truly a gem.
I hope the fans, esp Chinese fans of WayV, send 20 more trucks TO SME tomorrow, block the whole damn road until they acknowledge this iconic group

SM you don’t do enough for WayV at all. you do not give them fair treatment like you do with 127 & dream. why isn’t wayv getting multiple albums a year let alone sometimes not even once a year.. why haven’t they had a concert tour in 5 years.. why aren’t they getting more acting jobs modeling jobs solo promotion opportunities going on variety shows. these boys speak multiple languages that should be huge in marketing and letting them promote all over in so many ways. don’t ever say they need to work harder they work incredibly hard to be the best they can be without any help from your staff. how do you expect them to gain popularity if you don’t promote them and expos them to more audiences. i swear sm does so much stupid shit that it doesn’t even make sense. it’s like they are greedy but at the same time don’t want to make money because they don’t produce more albums or restock albums or put on concert tours enough or world tours hardly ever. it’s pathetic to be in the business this long and you still can’t figure out the basics. don’t ever gaslight our boys because we see right through it and will always support them and not you.

@@MAPRANG-98 it’s all very unfortunate and we all see it which is why i want them to know we are on their side and advocating for them. i’m glad tens solo was announced today finally. and although i’m very excited for taeyongs as well and knowing he has to go to military soon i wish they didn’t put them out two weeks a part because it just doesn’t make any sense to do it this way. but no hate should go on either of the boys this all on sm for making bad decisions as usual. i’m just hoping both do well and we see more happening for wayv this year finally 🤞🏻

요즘엔 단순히 노래 좋다고 인지도 올라가지도 않고 대중성이 생기지도 않아요 그에 맞는 프로모를 충분히 해야 될까말까 하는거지 웨이브이 팬은 아니지만 슴 다른 그룹팬이고 이 노래를 되게 좋아했어서 보고있는데 어이가 없네요 우리도 앨범만 툭 내주고 기본적인 영상도 안 만들어주고 프로모 존나 안해줘서 진짜 짜증났는데....별개로 레코딩은 잘 듣고가요 역시나 잘하네요
