Avoid matchy2 furnitures and choose the right size. Provide lots of storage because minimalism is a bit challenging. Don't be afraid to celebrate blank walls, your eyes needs rest from everything. Use neutral color pallette, mimic nature's color if possible. Create a focal point. Layer lighting. Use natural light if possible.

You could install a mirror on another side of the wall to look the space bigger. Avoid clutter throw away things that you don't use. Invest in furniture that can be tucked away when not in use or have a dual purpose. Invite more natural lights by having big windows. Utilize the advantage of sliding doors by opening to other areas or can be shut when privacy arises.

Yes definitely, like wall bed or murphy bed, made to order bedframe with pull out drawers, drawers on stairs steps, under the stairs cabinet shelves, shelves under dining table, benches, chairs. So many spaces so much to fill if you are smart and make use of empty air spaces in your house. All the nooks and cronies should have a function u can utilize for purpose. It must be in order, hidden and pleasing to the eyes when you look at it.

Hi. Sa palagay ko pwde po, kung gusto nyo ng privacy. Pero liliit nga po yung living area. Pwede rin po na lagyan nyo ng divider na na foldable, para sa daytime eh naka fold ito, sa gabi ay may konting privacy kayo. Or kung gusto nyo talaga ng wall, dry wall ang gamitin nyo (fiber cement board/ Hardieflex) para di cya permanent (unlike hollow blocks).
Sir Ed, currently po naghahanda po kami na magpatayo ng bahay sa Laguna. I think 63 or 68 SQ meters lang po ang lupa with view ng Laguna Bay. Is it possible po ba na still have 3 BR 2 BA, sunken living room, Kitchen with an island that sits 4 people. The one BR with bathroom inside, we wanted it downstairs para sa pagtanda namin in case hindi na kami maka akyat ng hagdan, the other 2 BR will be upstairs with another common bathroom to be shared. Kung pwede po ito, how big lang po ang pwedeng mga size ng bedrooms? Also how much po ang ongoing presyo ngayon ng architect para idraw ang plan ng bahay?

The best (and cheapest!) solution to storage problem is avoid buying things na hindi naman kailangan, or minsan lang gagamitin. Actually kahit malaki ang bahay magiging problema pa rin ang storage pag ganito ang habit. Mag 5S!
